My vote for the event is 200 point, full speed, and 8 figure limit. | |

| I'm looking forward to vintage as well, people are speculating about what good pulls might be over in the skirmish forum...
Striderlotr: You should note on page 1 that War Drums boosters are legal (at least I think they sould be). You never know what Shoe and Co. are going to arrive with, and heck, if some of us win some boosters in the prerelease, we might want to crack those as well.
Looks like most people are favoring full speed.... Hmmm!

| I think it'll be easier to use War Drums rules for the maxminis event, since, you know, we'll all still be in War Drums mode from the prerelease earlier that day. I mean, we ARE all playing the prerelease, right? [)]
I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm actually pretty sure I'd play an Ochre Jelly in 100 points limited. [:P] | |

| I will say that removing speed 2 rule for this event kind of takes away from the usefulness and original tactical manuevering required that I desired of my map. It was designed to help eliminate that problem in part with the sigils. But you're the ones playing so you choose I guess. I'm preferencially opposed to removing speed 2 rule as a player anyway. I hate the idea of the 4 Helmed Horror warband and it's like. But that's neither here or there. Vrock should be playable either way here but I despise anyone that plays where you don't have a commander.

| I'm bringing two Angelfire boosters for drafting (simply because Angelfire is the set that I still want more of).
For prizes, I wanted to give a custom repaint. Unfortunately for me, my painting skills are less than adequate. Fortunately for me, my brother-in-law is good enough at minis painting that people pay him to do it for them. So I brought over a pile of all my duplicates so he could see what he might want to work on. Of all my duplicates, he chose the Treant...wouldn't really have been MY choice, but I didn't want to put boundaries on him. He also took a few of the others minis to repaint and use for props. I think it turned out pretty well: http://users.adelphia.net/~aronreif/
It's kinda humorous that Aramil's Treant is beating up on a bunch of halflings and gnomes (and not something more dangerous, like orcs or goblins), but those are the minis that he wanted to use as props.
WF is only 3 days away! I can't wait! | |

| Well everyone, we are now at 2 day until Winterfantasy with the Maxminis event only a few short days away. As we close in on this event I just want to take a few minutes to thank some of the people who have helped to make this happen.
Kiddoc: for suggesting that we have a Maxminis 2 years ago at Gencon!
Patellis15: For all the help with posting and communication with the members!
Lynchpat: Communications with WotC and Ratty and finally getting through to them!
Chrisgrooves: For sticking the posts and for all the threads on the map creation contest!
Chad the DragonLordofAiur: Printing out the maps for the event!
Robbdaman: Submitting and winning the Map contest!
WotC: For bringing us this great game! Also for have some staff members take the time to join in on this great event!
Maxminis: For hosting the boards and allowing us to become this fantastic community!
All the members that play and submit prizes for the fun of the game! This event is truly a huge fan based event and the fact that we will sell out this event is a testament to what the game is.

| So I just dropped out of epic Sunday morning so I can sleep in a bit and do a little more tourism with the wife. So im now out of all constructed events and figure I'll just bring a smaller trade box rathr than my large kit.
I read somewhere they were supplying maps for most events. Is everyone bringing their own as well? | |

| As Winterfantasy starts tomorrow and this event is only a few short days away, I just wanted to post one more time and say thank you to everyone and remind everyone that we will be paying Ratty $6 per person for the use of the hall and that we need 2 boosters for the draft and something for prize support.
As Dagni said about having some boosters to use, I would be very happy to have some Wardrums to draft and use as prizes... Just some wishful thinking.
I've not heard from any of the WotC guys in a while but Shoe was still trying to attend the event and was not sure about the others from WotC, hopefully they will make it as well.
If we go over our alotted number of seats, I'll seat out and just run the event. I want to make sure everyone has a great time!
Thanks again and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend!

Agreed, but originally we were being limited to only 30 spaces. We may have as many as 40 according to conversations others have had with Ratty at Consupport. If we end up with 40 then we can allow more to play and try for a number divisible by 4. | |

| Rob - I'm bummed, after all this I didn't get to play in the Maxmini's event... I was a little busy ;-)
Alot of players did sign the back of a map for you and the event was a huge success!! I'm sure others will post more info shortly. Several players tied with 3-0 records but offically my buddy Josh Dartez rolled highest on a d20 and won first picks of the prizes - Peter Lee's Earth Elemental! My other buddy George Estill got the signed Rikka cards as well along with a pack of Adult beverages...
It's almost 2am and I gotta play Epic tomorrow 9AM.
