| Hear Ye! Hear Ye! The 2006 Dragons Lair DDM League is about to begin.
January 15th (at or about 12:30) will be the inagural event, 500 point Epic swiss. This will be a non-sanctioned event, so feel free to bust out the Drider Sorcerer. The particulars are as follows
500 Points (with Huge and Epic figures allowed)
8 Figs (+minions / summons - the standard)
Maps (should have enough for each match)
Assault Format - 25 points per turn for tile.
Cost: zero dollars
Prize Support: Yep. Some form of prize(s) will be available
Come on down - should be a great time. Everyone is welcome and I know there is alot interest in weekend events in Connecticut. Future events may be sanctioned or be alternative formats (300 epic, Law v Chaos, 100 point 20 minute speed DDM, Delve, Reverse Constructed, Drafts, etc). | |

| The Dragon's Lair have weekly DDM activities on Thursday (as Ghendar mentioned even if he cant be prodded to swing over a whole town to play that often) with signups begining about 6ish. We primarily run DCI sanctioned events on Thursdays.
The "League" will be focusing on less played and non-standard formats. Some of the ideas that have been discussed are 300 point epic (non-huge), reverse constructed, booster drafts, 100 point 20 minute matches (chess timers anyone?), a Delve and other such stuff. Im gonna try to coordinate and run at least 1 event every month for anyone who shows up.
On top of all this, Pat Lynch is coordinating significant events every other month at TJs trying to draw people from all over NE. Im hoping we can get at least 1 of these events in Connecticut so we can draw people from Eastern NY.
As Pat has said, Cross-Pollination of our skills so we all get better (or prove we arent as good as we think we are). You simply cant get better playing against the same folks every week. | |

| I went 0-3 last week (100 pts).. but hte person I taught to play on Wednesday went 3-0.
