| Me and my uncle both play DDM and were wondering who plays in CT and if there are any tournaments.. neither of us are very good :) and try to have fun warbands more than keep up with the times/tier 1...anyways..
Just wondering if anyone plays in CT And i heard the Dragon's Lair used to hold tournies but does anyone now?
**EDIT: No way Dragons Lair still holds tournaments... just got back into DDM after a couple "set" leave, what time on Thursdays? (45 minute ride, homework and school the next day sucks but oh well i could try now that b-ball is over)

| Frost - we still try to hold sanctioned events every thursday. we have had a serious drop off in attendance from the 12+ we had every week 3-4 months ago. Alot of people have sold their collections, gotten less interested in the game, decided that losing all the time isnt worthwhile, have work screwing up their schedules, etc.
We still have a core that want to play every week. I usually try to run at least one event on a weekend day a month.. but its hasnt been a sanctioned event so far (alternative formats, etc).
Regardless - email me thru my profile if you want to be included in the mailings I send out.
PS: Im speaking specifically for the Dragons Lair in West Hartford. Theres also some folks who play out of the hobby shops over in Manchester that have swung over once or twice. And we get some central Mass players on occassion (Brez, Mama Cass) | | Minis... Serious Business Completed Trades (18 ) | Pending Trades (0) Ebay seller to Avoid –Fantasy_Quest_Dist

| As much as I dislike Thursdays, it's really my only option at this point. I am going to make more of an effort to get there as much as possible. I can't be there on 3/30 though.
I would like to explore the possibility of doing larger tournaments every few months. Kinda like Tj's is doing with the New England Open.

| To be clear, it's not really TJ's that is "doing" the event. Pat Lynch has done 90% of the work, and I've chipped in where I can.
Sieze the day. Find a good weekend, that doesn't conflict with other regional events, and see what happens.

| | Just a word I am one of those Manchester CT players. We generally have tourneys at "The Grid" on Wed. nights starting around 7pm. The formats revolve around 200, 500 and alternative formats. For the constructed tourneys they cost $5. Also if you are interested in a pick up game we can make arrangements and meet at the grid as he offers his space for gaming all the time. p.s. I also live in mnachester too. so it is easier for me. | | I have yet to be Guyf'd. But I have been f'ed. | |
