How friendly is Jester's to younger less experienced players? My 9 year old son lives with his Mom up there and recently played in his first tournament in Maryland. He would be playing in NJ without an experienced player friend/family member there. It would be a bit of a hike so he would only be there for pre-releases and bigger tournaments.

I played in a D&D campaign and some Magic tournaments at Jester's for a while and I can say that this store is definitely family friendly.

Thank you for the information. I will try and get him to start playing occasionally.

while not in the NJ area, Draxtar met up with us last nite at our FLGS in Connecticut and he was not only a gentleman but a fun guy and good player with a unique band idea. Thank you for making the drive and taking the effort to find the game. Next time you are in CT, drop me a message and we can get together.

Where are you in NJ? area code?

Jester's is great, but a bit far for me, up here in the north near Morristown.

I have found a group that is starting casual (Garden State Gamer's Society on meetups.com) that meets on Tuesday per month at either Dark Tower in Denville  /morris county or Time Warp/passaic county in Cedar Grove.

In FairLawn (bergen county) Tuesday the 26th I am going to a FLGS with new owners - they are getting DCI certified, hope to have sanctioned events are having a DnD minis night.

Also - 1st saturday of every month I go to Doylestown PA (just inside PA on route 202) for DCI sanctioned events. Really good players there and we usually have 6-10 people. We rotate format sealed/200pt/500pt etc. They are on the special Sealed release list for Night Below.

So PM/email me for more info if you are up in the northern part of NJ.

Morris, Bergen, Passaic, Somerset counties area.

There was a release event at Time Warp in Cedar Grove (near Willowbrook mall on Rt 23/80/46) last weekend.

Other upcoming ativities are possibly tomorrow July 10th at Gamers Gambit if I get any responses.

And at Dark Tower in Denville on July 24th.

Even if you cant mkae either, please contact me if you are interested in DDM events in the upper half of the Garden State so I cna put you on an emailing list.

We see to be at a bit of a chicken and egg situation. We have 2 or 3 FLGS that will get involved to hae DCI events if we can show we will have decent turnout, but I get the feeling that without DCI status the interest is low.

There were 4 or 5 new players at the sealed event, so I hope we can get them hooked.
