So my wife and I are contemplating a move to Virginia. Hows the minis scene down there? Also, hows the RPG scene? I know its all pretty slow in Ohio.

Looking to buy some figures? Chances are I may have them!! Check here!!

The RPG scene is great. There are a lot of people and conventions all year round for the RPGA, many of them in northern Virginia and around Richmond. D&D Experience also is nearby depending in what part of Virginia it is. I'm not sure about more local forms of gaming or minis since I'm farther north in Baltimore, but I have done face to face trades with someone from that area at conventions so there has to be some.

Completed trades: blackthorne, Drakkengi,Thorgrin, Ironfist Boulderbender x2, ckissee, nasamonkey, Username, Star, Ace13 x3, emontedodger x2, Drconveyor, church, Joeyb, Sir Bozak The Damned, Xeromod, the other guy x2, Qucalion of Celene, Dagaron x2, berus316, qillan_dvra, AshloreDarkShadow

I live pretty much in the center of Virginia. The closest regular tournaments are two or more hours away in Winchester or Portsmouth. The LGS in Charlottesville tried to get a weekly league going last summer and after a few weeks, I was the only one attending. UGH The only regular source of play I have is my sons and two friends I taught how to play and bought 100% of their minis for them. I would do back flips for some dependable alternative competition. If you move to this area let me know!

Depending on where you are, too, there are some good gaming store called the Game Parlor in Chantilly and Woodbridge that has a lot of gaming.

I live in Northern Virginia (NoVA), Winchester to be exact. There is a game store here (thegamehaven.net) that supports just about everything now (4 nights out of the week are devoted to DDM if I recall). Can always start a RPG game.

I played at the Game Haven for the WOTDQ Pre-release. It is certainly a nice store. I wish it was closer than 2 hours 15 minutes away from me.

I have been in southern Virginia, the Blacksburg/Roanoke area now for almost 9 months and have yet to find any DDM players. There seems to be a huge community in North Carolina, only a few hours away, but not where I am.
