| Shadowdale Light Fellowship Chronicles - part XVI August 29, 2007
One halfling lighter……and daylight arrives. Gawain leads the burial party to the halfling village, with Cutter, Felix and Blix. Casey, Veil and I stay with the Halflings. I try to console them, but being a goblin is kinda getting in the way. After a day of dealing with the halfling village, we set out tracking down werewolves. Why am I doing this when I could be running a bar? I don’t know, but off we go.
Casey spots at tombstone looking type thing (with a faint red glow), and Gawain recognizes it as a deific type marker. It has the symbol of Malar, the Beast Lord. Veil uses his wand of Shatter, several charges worth to break it up completely. Sudden howls pierce the air (werewolfish, surprise…surprise…). I climb a tree, so I can safely discharge my crossbow bolts.
The werewolves charge out of the trees and into our clearing. They engage and attack. I shoot at one and hurt it badly. Casey kills one, Cutter kills two, and Blix sticks one critically with his silver dagger. I shoot again and the shots go wild. More fighting ensues. Eight more of the beasts appear. Our group gets lots of damage, but the fight goes in our favour. I dive out of the tree and shoot at another. When I get down to my last silver bolt, I switch to my silver short sword and engage, taking care to jump in, attack, and dart out. I do not want to wake up one morning with lots of hair, fangs, and long ears. We finish the fight and all of us are alive!
Gawain detects disease, and tells me I am diseased. But I haven’t been bitten. He says I have parasites?!?! I HATE being a goblin!!!! He removes disease from me with one of his scrolls. Praise Lathander (woohoo). We camp, and then return to the halfling village. From there we head back to Shadowdale. We hear no further rumours of were-creatures. I offer the halfling women jobs at the Rusty Trollop. They say they’ll think about it. I make plans to go and run my bar. We get a 800 gp reward (each) for ridding the lands of the werewolf tribe.

End of Campaign….but not the end of these characters…..

| For those of you interested you earned 1750 XP last night.
Now you may feel free to post your character's plans for the future since you aren't roaming the countryside as a marauding band of werewolves.
As long as it's done before September 12th you'll qualify for the 10% XP bonus. Nallan and Nymagus may feel free to get on this as well.

| Nallan's future plans are all basically written out in his letter. He'll be training under his halfling wizard accomplise learning how to be the best wizard he can be. Once he becomes competent in wizardry, he'll go on various missions, recruiting minions and gaining wealth. Possibly trying to get on good terms with the drow to help him. Once he has enough wealth, he'll go back to his family to redeem himself. He'll then send his minions to find the members of the Shadowdale Light Fellowship and take his revenge on them with the help of his halfling accomplise and/or minions (and possibly some drow allies). If he survives, he'll study the planes and go find his true love (the halfling from his previous group who got sucked into a planar gate).
I was thinking he'd end up looking like this after training with evil so long:

| | Well since Cutter wasn't turned into a Werewolf last night his plans still stand, he will stay with any members of the SLF until they retire or die and then move on to Evermeet to work with Nymagus and his young ward. | |

| Hello,
Nice end to the campaign I thought. Good fun all around (plus, dead werewolves).
I will post Gawain's plans for the future when I have a bit more time.

| Lannister's Plans for the future (updated from prvious post):
Well I think my time with this wandering band is coming to a close. We as a group have very little to tie us together other than thirst for adventure. Our different personalities and interests are taking us all in different directions. After Nymagus left the cohesion we shared started to unravel, a good example is our secondary wizard Nallan going all schizphrenic on u.
Sure, some of them are good guys, but then agin there are some I won't miss. Casey's been a good friend, and I wish him well on his werewolf hunting. Gawain's a nice guy, just a tad to straight for me. Cutter is now phsycotic, so I won't miss him. I don't hate the guy, I'm just more comfortable when he's not around. Veil sure isn't his dad. Too bad, I kinda liked Fiddlin' Dingle. Nymagus is gone (and ultimately good riddance). Felix I'm going to miss. I'll have to tell him that the firstround at the Trollop is always on the house. Thagnor, well I hope he comes around too. Blix, well, he's kinda dum
, but he kinda grows on me, like fungus. Torchey, well he's always got some good stories, even if everyone dies in them. And then there is Nallan. Ha ha ha, I'd shoot him again. Hopefully I won't miss.
And me, well, I think going back to the Rusty Trollop and trying my hand at running the place. Hopefully I can get away with it as a goblin. I'm going to have to figure out a way to get out of this body and into a human one again. It's going to be hard to get myself some action with the ladies, and face it the goblin chicks are just ugly. Perhaps those halfing ladies would con and work as servers. Maybe I can turn the 'Trollop into an adventurer's bar and make some contacts with some of them. This group didn't take me seriously, so maybe working behind the scenes through other adventures I can get something accomplished. First and foremost becoming human again. I'm sure there's a market in Urlamspyr for adventurering equipment and magic items and such. Plans plans plans......

| The Future Plans of Gawain Aranadan
While happy to have succeeded in the many adventures undertaken by the Shadowdale Light Fellowship, Gawain is still concerned with the many mysteries and enemies that the Fellowship was unable to completely solve or vanquish. After a short rest in Shadowdale to meet with his sisters and to allow time to study and scribe scrolls, Gawain plans to recruit those members of the Fellowship still interested in adventuring to take on the unfinished challenges. At the very least, Gawain intends to work further on the following issues:
1) The half-explored Elven Tomb that was the first underground location the Fellowship scouted out. As it had already been desecrated (with undead) it needs to be fully explored.
2)Â To seek out the source of the possessed/evil animals (wolves especially) that were north of Shadowdale in our early adventures.
3)Â To explore the cavern where Thagnor lost his expensive spear.
4)Â The drow forces in the forests around Shadowdale.
Gawain is hoping that he can rely upon Felix and Cutter at the very least to assist him in his work. Maybe Casey and Lannister could be persuaded to come along for the occasional adventure as well. Perhaps he will be able to train his sister Anya to the adventuring trade, although she was having problems adjusting before to such a role. Blix would be free to come along on the travels as well, but Gawain would like to allow Blix to be more independent in his work now, as Blix has proved himself in Lathander's service many times over now. Perhaps Gawain and Blix would have time to convert some goblin tribes to Lathander's worship if the opportunity presents.
Of course, before any of this could take place, Gawain would have to recruit a new wizards to help out the party. It would seem that finding someone recommended by Storm or Elminster might be helpful to avoid previous issues with wizards.
