| I am probably moving to Myrtle Beach, SC in a few weeks and I was wondering if anyone is from the area or knows of a good place to play. I have been trying to find some gaming stores online and I am not having much luck. I did however notice that there was no pre-release or release tournaments for Night Below in South Carolina  This is very disheartening. I don't know what gaming scene is like but that can't see a good sign.
Please let me know if you know of something close, thanks for you help.

| | IIRC, Myrtle Beach is not far from the North Carolina border, right? Maybe there is something in that state that you can easily get to? | | Completed trades: blackthorne, Drakkengi,Thorgrin, Ironfist Boulderbender x2, ckissee, nasamonkey, Username, Star, Ace13 x3, emontedodger x2, Drconveyor, church, Joeyb, Sir Bozak The Damned, Xeromod, the other guy x2, Qucalion of Celene, Dagaron x2, berus316, qillan_dvra, AshloreDarkShadow

| | I'll be in the Myrtle Beach area next week, so I'll keep an eye out for such a place. I've been there a dozen times and I have never seen a place, but then again, I have never actively looked for one. If all else fails its only a 4-5 hour drive to my FLGS in Pineville/Charlotte. | | Champion of the Revenant Knight of the Elf Duskblade Complete Trades: Oni, Kidkach, Melrune, callidusx3 | |

| Not only is South Carolina the last in many "Top 50" lists about the States, it is also last in the number of active DDM players. I have heard vague rumors about an active DDM scene in Myrtle Beach, but I dont have any hard facts for you. My best suggestion is to check out around the College/University. If you are ever in my neck of the woods (Columbia S.C.), please stop by Heroes & Dragons, we are always looking to increase our paltry turnouts. | | Southern Amish | |

| I am located in Beaufort, SC. Its about 3 hours I guess (never been to Myrtle Beach). We don't have a FLGS, but I'm willing to play. There is a nice gamestore in Charleston, which is about 2 hours from me towards Myrtle Beach. I am not sure if they run tournaments or anything, but they do carry DDM.

| | The store in the Charleston area is the Green Dragon. A great store but they don't run any sanctioned DDM events. | | Southern Amish | |

| | I would really like to find a local place, but....if I had to drive an hour for a tournament I guess I would. Sounds like we got some players in SC but no tournaments. | | Champion of the Brainstealer Dragon Desert of Desolation Called Shot: Medium Brown Dragon ***Winner of WBC VIII and XII*** | |

| Hey, it may be your lucky day. I was talking to the owner of the Black Rock gaming store in my area here in Michigan last week. He told me he was closing his store for 2 weeks while he goes to Myrtle Beach to open a new store! The guy is really nice and always gives me a good deal on boosters and cases.
He should be down there now getting the store set up. If I see him when he gets back in a few weeks I will get the store's exact location and post it here.

| There is definitely a store that carries DDM in Myrtle Beach. I was visiting my parents there and found it. I couldn't tell you about tournaments etc.... but they looked like they had an active Magic: the Gathering crowd. I think it was in Socastee (sp?) and it was definitely in a strip mall accross from a high school. If you can't find it when you move there, PM me and I'll have my parents e-mail me with the name of the place.  If you do get something started, make an announcement. I'll hopefully be in the area once a year or so, and would love to know where to play a game when I'm there (probably wouldn't have the time for a tourney, but we could meet for a game).  Hope that helps, Z | | Never teach a pig to sing. | Falrinth: Very cool. Please keep me informed. I would love to play in some local tournaments for DDM.
Zoons: Was it called Dueling Grounds or Hero's Hangout?? They are like 8 minutes away. I do play MTG but I really enjoy DDM and RPG more. | | Champion of the Brainstealer Dragon Desert of Desolation Called Shot: Medium Brown Dragon ***Winner of WBC VIII and XII***

| | I honestly don't remember. It's been quite a while since I was there. I'd say definitely not Hero's Hangout. That doesn't sound the least bit familiar. | | Never teach a pig to sing. It's a waste of time and it annoys the pig.

| Just a head's up: this thread is going to be moved to the Meetingplace forum section soon, since that's a more appropriate place for this sort of discussion.

| Fanboy Comics in Wilmington NC (http://www.fanboycomics.biz/) is the nearest game store I know of. I drive up to All Fun 'N Games (http://www.allfunngames.com/) in Apex for prereleases (car pool for DoD?). I live in Brunswick County NC so would be interested if you find any games stores in Myrtle, and would love to have a closer prerelease to go to. I do enjoy the crowd that games at Fan Boy.
