| Tharnog son of Thagnor’s Backround Story
Tharnog was born in the Galena Mountains into a happy family of 5 siblings including himself. He was born to fight…put in fighting arenas since he was 5. He taught to use all the Axe’s available to him. He was taught how to talk fluently but could barely read or right. When Tharnog was 6 his father Thagnor had left with a search party for find his sister Gorgia. Thagnor hasn’t returned yet.
When Tharnog was 11, there was a raiding party of Drow. The city of the Galena Mountains was slaughtered. There were a few mothers and children who hid during the raid. When Thagnor was sure there were no more Drow left he came out of hiding. He was traumatised to see the city slaughtered. He went through his house and collected what he could. He only found his mother’s burette, some salvageable food, mostly burnt though, his father’s War Axe, his father’s Shield, and the family earnings. He barried his mother and the 3 siblings and packed his stuff to leave.
When he was about to leave the mother of two girls asked for Tharnogs help for building the City of Galena Mountains. So Tharnog gave his family earnings to them which was about 300 gp (50 of which he kept).
So he was on his way just guarding caravans from city to city. When he ended up in a city called Marsember. Tharnog got bored of guarding caravans so he took up bartending at The Great Mug. When he bartended for a few years he met this ape man. After a while of this ape man coming to The Great Mug he wanted to know him better. He found out that he was doing little jobs here and there but he was looking for employment. About a month later The Great Mug was getting little business it went broke and shut down.
He and the ape-man were looking for any kind of employment. After about month of no employment and getting low on funds a young kid approached him. He said that Salty Pete was now looking for employment for his ship and he knew that Tharnog and this ape-man were looking for a job. Tharnog and the ape-man gratefully accepted this job. Let the adventuring begin…

Anyways, I'm off to school so I'll check postings when I get home. That would be the 24th of Marpenoth, 1311 DR (The year of the Fist). At 61 he would be a relatively young dwarf. I'll give you Hadozee as a bonus language for your background skills.
What is Tharnog's Intelligence?

Still considering what Scott and Nico's will be....

| Blix’s future plans.
Blix will first pray and worship Lathander until he is confident enough to try and turn more goblin tribes good. He will first start on his own tribe, goblin by goblin. Then try on other tribes. Hopefully he will bring lots of good and peace to the world.
After this I will help Gawain with The Shadowdale Light Fellowship (hopefully Veil will not). I will want to first find out what is wrong with those crazy wolves. I killed two and Veil killed none (I do a little dance).
When that’s done I will want to go find Nymagus and get him to help us with those elven ruins. I think those are pretty cool. (Nymagus is better wizard than Nallen, he knows portals)
I think this is where I will aid Lanister Lazybee (still in goblin form I hope.) with The Rusty Trollop. I hope Thagnor is still there, if so I will get really, really drunk with him and Felix…and still pray to Lathander.
After this, If The Shadowdale Light Fellowship still needs Blix, I will indeed help with all I can help with…yes, Veil too. | | SLIPKNOT-WAIT & BLEED SLIPKNOT-(SIC)

Background & History:
Beregon is the fifth child (of six) of Orthos and Elissa Tal, born on the 5th of Tarsakh, The Year of the Crown (1351),
in Marsember. Orthos was a moderatly successful shipping agent in the city, arranging for cargos to be shipped across the Sea of Fallen Stars to all manners of ports of call. Orthos had married late in life, at the age of 47 (in 1343), choosing a much younger woman as his bride (Elissa was born in 1322). Elissa was a tutor for noble children prior to her marriage. Beregon's elder brothers are Elren (b. 1344), Dorgal (b. 1346), and the twins Arthos and Methos (b. 1349), and his younger sister is Lydira (b. 1353).
With so many children around the house Beregon was often left to his own devices and he was quite a bookish child. While Elren and Dorgal both entered the family business, and Arthos and Methos worked as labourers and mercenary guards (due to their great strength), Beregon showed an aptitude for magic. This distressed Orthos to no end, as he did not have the means to send Beregon to a proper school of magic (although he dearly would have loved to, as it could have meant even greater social and business contacts if Beregon made it into the War Wizards of Cormyr). Elissa encouraged Beregon's aptitude as much as she was able to, and also managed to gain him an apprenticeship with a local wizard known as Heldar the Magnificent (she had tutored one of his wards before her marriage).
Heldar was certainly knowledgable about the ways of the arcane, but "magnificent" he was not. Beregon's apprenticeship lasted from early in The Year of the Shield (1367) through to the end of The Year of the Gauntlet (1369). During that time Beregon advanced through his studies quite well, mastering all of the basic cantrips and beginning to learn more of the advanced mysteries of magic. He also began to learn exotic languages and more about the wider world beyond Cormyr. Heldar, however, seemd to become more and more distant during this time. Spending weeks at a time away from Marsember and ignoring his apprentice.
Unfortunately, at the start of The Year of the Tankard (1370)
Heldar fell ill and died unexpectedly. There were rumours of murder and intrigue around the death, including whispers about Red Wizards, and Beregon was questioned by the authorities. He was not of much help, however, as Heldar had been quite secretive in his final months. With his training incomplete Beregon rejoined his family for a time to work out where his life would lead him. By this time Elren was a full partner the family firm, and Dorgal was captaining the Swiftsure, a fast merchant cutter the shipping business now owned. At mid-summer Beregon was convinced by Arthos and Methos to join with them for a summer cruise to Mulhorand and back on the Swiftsure. While there was some danger involved in the trip, the reward from the sale of exotic spices would be great for the family if the trip succeeded.
The trip to Mulhorand was uneventful and the trading there went well. Beregon even managed to use the Muhorandi language skills he had picked up while reading through Heldar's library. The return trip, however, was not to be as peaceful. Four days out from Mulhorand the Swiftsure spotted three sails on the horizon to the north, closing quickly. The three sails were black in colour and had no other identifying device. Fearing pirates or worse Dorgal piled on the sail and worked his crew hard. Expert sailing kept the Swiftsure ahead of her pursuers for two full days, but then a storm blew in. Dorgal took a chance and tried to use the storm for cover, gliding into the dark clouds, fog, rain and waves ahead of the relentless enemy. The black sails were soon lost in the inky blackness of the storm, but the crew of the Swiftsure were more concerned about keeping the vessel afloat. Beregon did what he could to help, but he was not the sailor in the family. In the end, seasickness took over and Beregon curled up in corner of the hold and remained green for the duration of the storm.
A day later, after the storm had cleared, Beregon managed to stagger back up on deck. The crew were still working to maintain the ship after the beating it had received, but it did appear that black sailed ships had been eluded. As Beregon freshened up and tried to hold down some bread and water there was a cry from the crow's nest watch. As if out of thin air a single black sailed ship had appeared no more than 150 feet away from the Swiftsure. Even more menacing were the three great black birds flying from that ship towards Beregon and the pinkish grey tentacles now crawling up over the portside railing. Due to his illness Beregon had not had time to prepare any of his spells for the previous two days. He could only stand there, mouth agap, as one of the great black birds scooped him up in its claws and dragged him away from the Swiftsure. As he was carried away Beregon could see his brothers and the crew fighting off the attack on the ship. The squid or kraken tentacles were almost all chopped way by this time, and Methos had just used the ship's ballista to put a bolt through the head of one of the other great black birds. Beregon could also see Arthos aiming a bow towards the bird carrying him, but then a sail obscured the view. In less than a minute Beregon was deposited on the black sailed ship (which he later found out was named the Red Fang). Surrounded by evil looking men Beregon felt a sharp blow to the back of his head and all went black.
Waking up some time later, Beregon found himself clad in a loincloth and nothing else. For the next five days he was held in a cell in the hold of the Red Fang with no human contact. His meals were pushed in through a slot in the door, and he had to race the rats to the gruel. On the sixth day Beregon was hooded and bundled out of his cell by some of the burly crew. He could feel himself being loaded into a smaller boat and then there was the splashing of oars. There was further lifting, and a ship's deck was again under his feet. Beregon's hood was ripped off to reveal the leering face of a very ugly half-orc. "I Ugluk, you slave," the half-orc bellowed; "slave work hard and survive, not work hard we feed you to the sharks." With that introduction Beregon was inducted into the "crew" of the galley Razor's Edge. For the next year and half he would slave away at the oars, enduring many whippings. Most of the slaves on the galley were goblins, orcs or half-orcs, although there were a few humans and dwarves as well. The pirate crew led by Ugluk seemed to be frequenting the coasts around the Pirate Isles, but Beregon was never on deck long enough to be sure. Over time he managed to become friendly with a pair of dwarves named Gunthar and Ralvar, and a human barbarian youth named Migwin, son of Tigrin. Migwin appeared to be a simple, uncivilized, young man, but he was full of surprises. Beregon was astonished one day when Migwin was whipped for some imagined slight on the part of the overseer and then the youth turned around and scorched the slaver with fire from his hands. Migwin could cast magic! It did not appear to be disciplined magic, as Beregon had learned, but an inborn sorcerous magic that Heldar had sometimes spoken about. After that incident Migwin was kept chained up, with metal restraints over his hands at all times.
Thus it was that early in The Year of Wild Magic (1372) when the Razor's Edge was hit by a sudden storm Beregon and Migwin were in danger of losing their lives. The galley was quickly forced against some rocks by the power of the storm and began to break up. The slavers seemed determined to save their own souls for the most part, although they did appear to be trying to take control of the most valuable and least troublesome slaves (which Beregon, and Migwin most definitely were not). Gunthar and Ralvar seemed to be little concerned with the storm, and when one of the overseers came over to lead them off of the foundering ship they began bellowing and swinging their chains. They quickly took down the first slaver and the two guards that followed. Ralvar looked right at Beregon as the two dwarves raced up to the top deck and nodded at the keys now lying next to the overseer's dead body. Then the dwarves were gone and sounds of battle erupted above. Barely able to reach the keys, Beregon managed to unlock himself and Migwin as the water level in the galley continued to rise. Sloshing around in knee deep water, the two men were about to race to the top deck, when another sickening crack tore through the ship. The hull split beneath the two and they were thrown into the sea. Somehow, both managed to grab onto a loose piece of planking and hold on throughout the night.
Beregon's family had always been worshippers of Lathander, but Beregon had been introduced to the worship of Mystra by Heldar during his apprenticeship. Throughout the night Beregon prayed to both gods for salvation. With the break of dawn he and Migwin found themselves floating in a debris field some ways away from any land. By mid-morning, however, when Beregon was beginning to think that there was no hope a sail appeared on the horizon and moved towards them. Amazingly the vessel spotted them and took them aboard. Crewed mainly by Hadozee, Kelwin's Gamble was a trading vessel out of Saerloon, Sembia. In return for working off their passage, the captain was willing to clothe and feed them until they reached port. Amazingly, his destination was Marsember.
After a further month of sailing Beregon finally arrived home in Marsember on his birthday. Returning home he was greeted warmly by his mother and sister (although Migwin did throw them off a bit), but there was bad news as well. Orthos had died in 1371 at the age of 75 after a long and full life. All of Beregon's brothers were well, but they had thought their youngest brother dead until recently. Unfortunately, there could be no great family reunion, as Elren was in the capital conducting business, and Dorgal and the twins had just set out on another trading run. Elissa and Lydira were left behind to manage the business in Marsember. What concerned Beregon the most however, was when his mother told him that a note saying he was alive had arrived only five days before, just as Dorgal, Arthos and Methos were preparing to set sail. It had indicated the brothers could find Beregon in Cimbar, Chessenta, if they were prepared to pay the appropriate ransom. Elissa was not sure, but she thought that the brothers might just be planning to set into Cimbar as part of their trip.
With these thoughts in mind, Beregon resumed his spellcasting career by retrieving his stored spellbook at home. He was thinking about how to save his brothers when the message from Salty Pete was heard through the streets ...

Hope to get some feedback.

| I'll give it a good read over when I'm home from work tonight and answer your questions regarding equipment and feats. Looks good at first glance though.
It looks like we need to make a decision between George's and pizza for dinner Wednesday. I'm good with either but I might lean a bit on the side of burgers.
As for the first session I think the first part will involve polishing off each others characters and seeing where we can link them up as necessary since we haven't had much of an opertunity to do so as a group. From there once everyone is set we'll launch into the adventure proper as see where it takes us.

The only feat you may be interested in would be Disciplne, +2 to will saves and +2 to concentration checks.
The Regional language is Chondathan. And you get your choice of a masterwork Long Sword, Heavy Mace, or Banded Mail.

As for bonus skills I'm thinking.... 2 ranks of Profession (Slave) would be in order.
Both Scott and Chris can take a couple ranks in Profession (Sailor).

| Felix Flounders Future Plans
Felix Flounder continues to serve in the Shadowdale Light Fellowship. Felix was more than happy to help Gawain search out the 1st Dungeon the Fellowship ever encountered. The drow problem to the North was still a concern for their safety and that of others so Felix lended his help. He continues to help Gawain, Cutter and Blix with their quests. For the most part he resides at the temple, adventures with the Fellowship and occasionally takes on Solo Quests.
His Solo trips took him to many a place - but the Rusty Trollop was among his many trips. His fast noble Stead (ShadowFox) carried him many a time to see his old friend Lannister. He denied any claim that he got deals on his drinks - often though ShadowFox brought Felix home ... asleep.
In particular he seeks answers to his failing memory which in time the Fellowship help him to understand. Felix makes the journey's to his home of Origin and discover that a mysterious bunch of unique thieves were responsible for his families slaughter. He discovers that this band of thieves had a unique sway over animals. Indirectly they had something to do with a plague of wolves (not necessarily the werewolves) and the frogs. This was an ongoing quest that Felix took to being Solo as to not endanger his comrades; moreover, because it was personal.
Paladins are noble, good and righteous! But Felix's personal quest took a heavy toll that endangered his soul and his Paladin status. Some say he occasionally skirted losing his title, others say he became a fallen Paladin. The bottle occasionally entered into this when it shouldn't. The Fellowship (Gawain) never gave up on Felix; and, Felix may have faltered on occasion true enough. But Felix Flounder died a high level Paladin in battle.
As a matter of fact - Felix lived to an unnatural long life as rumored by some. The legend goes that he fell in battle defending his Lady with the aid of members of the long disbanded fellowship. His last public statement in Shadowdale was "I have a promise to repay to my Lady, and debt of gratitude for all Elves I must pay back." A mission that some say was never told one way or the other - but - the Elves always speak well of Felix. His body was escorted back to Shadowdale by an Elven wood Cutter and a mysterious hooded cloaked mage delivered to the temple of Lathander. Long forgotten friends ... ? While not many survive from those days .... some say that ... an elderly Cleric recieved the body with thanks .... many claim it was Gawain. | | Stop monkeying around - thats my job!!!
