| Hello,
Looking forward to Wednesday.
I am OK with either pizza or Joey's. If we do Jeoy's again, I don't think we need to extra order of fish, just the two family meals (or whatever they were called).
Cheers

| Anyway, fish and player threats aside I think this weeks session will be primarily an urban RP affair. You'll meet some of the future fellow crew members as your friendly neighborhood cleric is off attending to spiritual matters of the heart so to speak.
As for next week we'll be officialy off for Halloween.
And unofficialy off the following week as Scott has Beer Club. We can still get together to play something upstairs, paint Nico's ship if he has the supplies together, or just take the night off again. Thoughts?

| Tales from the Chronicler Oct. 17 Night 5
He Who Rules the Tower makes the Rules
The Party returns the chickens to the farmer plus 11 extra bought with looting the Kobolds. Our wizard catches up as the gratefull farmer re-supplies the party. Tal examines the 50 page magic book and eventually discovers the 1st page has a lesser orb of fire spell which he transcribes. The Party decides to make camp after traveling down the road a ways. Migwin and Tal take the 1st watch; Grath and Cedrith 2nd watch and finally Tharnog again last in the morning to practice his love of fine jug playing. Grath hears a twig snap to the North and spots a lone Wolf staring in at the Party. After 3 min. the Wolf silently recedes and Grath (not so gracefully) tries to examine the site of this lone Wolf. Although he finds the spot - Grath can find no clues about the Wolf. Cedrith too tries to find something to no avail. The Party wakes in the morning and after breakfast precede onto town to retrieve Percy.
Our Party encounters a small Hamlet (50 Villagers) having a heated debate in the town center. Live stock have been going missing of late and now also have 2 children - Jake 8 years old and Elousie 7 years old. Cedrith makes a few inquires into what kind of animals, how long, where did the children go missing etc. It is rumored that there is an increase in Kobolds, Goblins and Monsters along the main road so perhaps this has something to do with it. Migwin takes his time (takes 20) to track adult booted tracks leading to an old stream - the nature of what left the tracks is ... unknown. Heading East ... a clear trail .... 15 min. and the trail leads to clawlike feet ... very high traffic area .... then... a CAVE!!!!
The Party heads into the cave where the tracks lead in a somewhat staggered formation of Tharnog, Migwin, Cedrith, Tal and Grath. The passage is somewhat narrow (10 feet) but as we proceed ... CAVE IN on poor Cedrith the Cleric who should probably start praying!!! Here come ... 6 goblins in the dark which only those with enhanced vision for the dark can see!!! The Hadozee frantically tries to dig out the circle of boulders and rocks entombing Cedrith as the rest deal with our new foes. Migwin tires to intimidate as usual and then attempts ... BURNING HANDS ... Goblins seem to be in awe/fear it is hard to say .... Tal comes from behind to assits Migwin ... Oh OH the Barbarian's spell fizzles ... and Tal tries to cast SHOCKING GRASP and ... Oh fumble into Migwin who takes the ssshocking damaaageee....Thats gotta hurt. Tharnog comes in to kill some goblins, Tal and Migwin each take-out a goblin. Grath almost frees the Cleric ... and the Dwarf finishes off the last 2 goblins ... Cedrith is free and time to lick our wounds ... hey ... where the HECK is Migwin charging off to???
In the dark we can hear a Barbarian curt cry of ... INTIMIDATION! Oh alas poor Migwin ... we knew thee well says the Rogue ... lets go home. And the party rushes blindly on as the Rogue gives his head a shake ... Humans!!!! Rushing up Grath finds that ... The Party is engaged with 4 Goblins, a Human Thug and ... WHoa ...a Giant Cave Troll!!! Apparently Migwin has dropped his Axe and is doing his classic; throwing one Goblin into another Goblin as Tal casts Magic Missle. Cedrith is advancing to lend aid as the Dwarf is smashing away and Migwin roars in bloody rage. The Hadozee does the usual sneak attack damage and the Party is victorious again. Strangely the Human Thug was tougher than the Cave Troll, or did we just have better luck with the other??? The Party searches this cave thourghly for booty and finds ... Chain Mail, Clubs, Steel Shield, brass key and a parchment. The Rogue Hadozee searches what appears to be the Trolls bed and ... finds battered Heavy Shield and ... a glass jar of dead bugs?? Oh woe is the children ...???
Cedrith and Tal are busy with the room and healing the Parties wounds. What the HECK is Migwin swigging??? Is that the whole jug of healing ... Oh ... Oh Oh Migwin ...is ....all better ...HIC ...Migwin IS ... HIC ... DRUNK??? Apparently the jug tastes like RUM! The Barbarian staggers around ... aimlessly ... kinda ... meandering ... around the corner ... the Party Finds a hidden twist and turn beyond ... squeezing and ... another room??? Grath searches a cage in the far corner which contains ... 2 children. The Monkey man finds no traps and the Brass key does open the cage after Tharnog and Migwin unfortunately cannot smash open the cage. The children are freed but a large wooden chest is unattended to as yet. Everyone beats on the chest to no avail, so Tal and Cedrith find the Hadozee some makeshift PICKS for the chest lock. PICK .... PICK....PICK .... SPRONG ...random treasure avast there!!!! Silver coins, 2 Scrolls, Wand and a Potion. The Party returns to the Hamlet and the children are returned to the parents ... AND THERE WAS MUCH REJOICING!!! HOORAY!!! Our Heroes are fed, watered and bedded for the night and in the morning are re-supplied again. They continue on the road to finding Percy.
Finally we arrive at Wyeernspur without further incident! Approx. 5 days travel. How to find Percy??? Well ... Migwin (must be still drunk???) goes door to door asking if they arePercy. Others are asking around and the Rogue lucks out and finds 2 sailors who say he is to be found at a bar called the Blind Seagull . The Hadozee makes fun of the Blind Seagull in front of the villagers and Cedrith tells him to knock it off. Inside ... a bar fight ... a game of INN-FIGHTING ... perhaps??? Tharnog joins in on the fight and starts knocking people out and around. Migwin literally resumes picking-up people and asks if they are Percy ... nope ... tosses them aside. Cedrith and Grath notice a remarkably calm fellow having tea below a table. Both the Cleric and the Rogue make it over among the in-fighting and discover it is indeed Percy under the table. He is happy to know that he has work from Salty Pete; but, his father the Wizard makes the Rules and answers the Requests ... venture to the East to Eldar's tower!!! The city watch seems to be on the way ... yet Migwin and Tharnog continue to engage in mayhem and spirits. The Party does inquire at the Wizard's tower in the East of Weeyrnspur. An appointment/audience can be granted tomorrow. Except for Migwin and Tharnog the rest of the Party find lodgings at a local INN - of which Cedrith has to stop the ROgue from sneaking food - just pay for it Grath!!! He fails to sneak down the rain-pipe. :) While no-one can currently find Migwin and Tharnog - last word on the street was that a Big Intimidating chicken eating Barbarian with a Tweety Bird and some growth stunted figure ... was passed out in the gutter in town!!!!
Will they evade the Night Watch ... who knows??? But Cedrith, Tal and Grath the Rogue sleep cozy warm in the INN down the road.
Not exactly shorter but an all-in-one package! I should have been marking but this was a lot more fun! Can't wait for sea-food tomorrow guys - see ya! | | Stop monkeying around - thats my job!!!

| For those who didn't catch it last night it was 850 XP awarded for that session.
As for the friendly neighborhood cleric who stayed back in town while you ventured bravely forth to collect the elm moss for Eldarr the wizard he can earn some bonus XP by detailing the vision he had and needed the advise of other clerics to interprit.
As for the rest of you, you may begin planning now on how you're going to get all that ale back to town or whatever you're going to do next. The better the plan, the better the XP reward you share as a group.

| No D&D on the 31st.
As for November 7th we have options...
1) Take another week off. DM catches up on sleep he needs right now. So sleepy......
2) Assuming Nico gets his stuff together, his paint scheme, his artistic vision for the ship we can help him paint it.
3) We continue on with the playing fun minus one Scott when he makes his way to the beer thang downstairs.
Grinding the grain is noisy and stuff.
So sleepy.....
Anyway, I figured if we do play or even paint while they're busy making noise grinding the grain we could head out and do our supper thing at Georges or whatever.
Let me know which option you all prefer.
Zzzzzzz........ | | | |

| Migwin gulps his ale, surges forward and swings. Crack goes the orcs skull under his axe. "Ahhhh...the aroma is floral and is followed with good solid malt character. The roasted malt is definitely on profile". The orc commander leaps past on his way to the mage Beregon. Down comes Migwin's pint as an attack of opportunity presents itself, and the critical hit knocks the orc out. "The head lingers in the glass and leaves a fine lace. BUT NOW MY MUG IS EMPTY....MIGWIN SMASH!!!!!!!!!!!"

| My plan for getting the Ale back to the city would be this: Half of the group goes back to town with the cash and half of the potions we have just incase of an ambush. I would think one fighter goes with the group and the other fighter stays with the Ale. The group that goes would get a couple of donkeys and a half a dozen people to help out with getting the Ale back. My character has 5 trail rations left so I could stay and gaurd the barrels of ale. He also has 3 potions of Cure Light Wounds, and I think Grath has two. Mabye Big Mig and Beregon could go to town. When you got there you could pick up the Cleric after he's done his God worshipping stuff get the people and donkeys and come get the Ale. Hopefully there will be no ambushes and hopefully no one will try and steal the ale. | | SLIPKNOT-WAIT & BLEED SLIPKNOT-(SIC) | |
