| Z-95 Headhunters, 2 badly damaged ones that Cookie may be able to cobble back into one functional fighter. You spent a bunch of time hosing out the left over bits of the former pilots.
I seem to remember Jay saying something about a Jedi eating 74 metric tons of space glue.....

And I like that we now have a working fighter, and it's named "The Awesome Possum". Does that make Nev - "Captain Krue'llyn"? | | "GameKnight Games and Cool Stuff Winnipeg's source for RPGs and minis!" www.gameknight.ca

| you know i really hope you are joking, because if you are not, well then i have formally turned to the dark side and one by one i will slaughter you all in your sleep and make you all play in an evil campaign, following my every command MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH just kidding. im not that evil, i just rush head long into battle pwning clone troopers.
In any case, as well so other then me not doing all that nasty stuff because you know i would not aggree to it, ahh damn i thought we got some jedi starfighters.... well i guess i will have to work hard and look for one myself. But while we are at this stage, would i be able to pilot the z95? i dont have the best pilot skill but instead of going strait guardian master and weapon master, i was thinking of going in some jedi ace and pwn noobs and such or if you guys designated a pilot already, then i can just stick to ground tactics. but no one ever cares about the lowly young jedi, and of course no one has respect for him as well... * sigh * well, except nev a little i guess. OHH did you guys fight another dark jedi? | | Well, I would like to think my new profession is pretty simple... | | Well you were the one that had to pry the former pilot's fried dead hands off the steering wheel and then hose out the cockpit so I suppose it's only fair you be allowed to pilot it. Assuming it can be repaired that is.

| | Since you don't have a very good pilot skill maybe you would be better suited to acting as one of the 2 gunners on the Awesome Possum (Arc 170)? That said if you are going to go Jedi Ace (which I assume is a piloting based class) then go for it. | | Champion of Champions (for all races! even Gnomes ) Reference Thread Winnipeg Gryphon Cavalry Forums

| Truth be told none of us are really dedicated pilots or spacefarers. Something we might have to look into changing or shift away into more surface based adventures.
Zayna has picked up a few things as part of her jack of all trades background but she's been flying the Duty Free a lot more it seems. I'll have to think about how I'm going to focus her skill points and feat as we level up this time.

| Hey all, Great game last week.
A few points to clear up first.
"with all the dark jedi Garret and I have killed" Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â -Shadowbob
Last I recall, Garret killed one dark Jedi and the vacuum of space killed the other. With partial credit going to Scott.
"i just rush head long into battle pwning clone troopers." Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â -Shadowbob
If I remeber correctly, it was the jedi getting "pwoned" and had it not been for some heavy duty fire power form a ceritan Twi'lek, order 66 would have been carried out once more.
Ok. Now that we've got the facts stright, we move on to new business.
Anyone check out the new preview for Saga Edition?ÂAparently they have removed skill points and Initiative is now a skill. Go figure.
Well can't wait till next time. I've got a special adventure cooked up.

| Well let's plot this out a little.
The Duty Free needs a crew of 10 if I remember correctly to pilot at full efficiency. In other words, during combat. And that's not our modified Wayfarer with extra guns.
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Wayfarer-class_medium_transport
By my counts in a combat situation we need at least 3, maybe 4 dedacated gunners freeing someone (Zayna perhaps) to strictly pilot. We also need someone to operate the shields, preferably not our main mechanic so he can be free to go make repairs in flight as necessary. That's what 6 people not counting communications or co-pilots.
Then we have the ARC-170 which seems to be in good operating order after the trial by fire. It takes a pilot, 2 gunners, and an astromech droid. 9 people in total so far.
Throw in a Headhunter which is a 1 man unit and that puts us to 10 people needed and the Duty Free still being fairly in skeletal crew mode. Droids can help with some of those functions, I'd prefer not to put too much into that basket though.
Just throwing this out there but it might be a good idea to sell the Headhunter scraps or fix them up and sell them and use the money to tweak out our other ships.

| We could sell the Arc-170 since it takes 3 to run effectively, and pick up another Z-95 or something. Then we have 2 fighters and only need 8 crew. Or does everyone think the 170 is a better ship since it can double move and still attack Â

| I think the ARC-170 is the better ship over all of course I don't have stats for them both right in front of me. Of course Z-95's would be easier to maintain as you can find parts for them just about everywhere.
Is one really good fighter worth 2 okay ones? I think so. In all honesty the Duty Free is a flying tank, she can defend herself prety well without fighter aid. If we stick with just the Arc-170 for situational uses that would free up more room for cargo, or perhaps a stronger tractor beam and concusion missle launchers.....

| Hey Mike I just revisited the wiki for the Wayfarer class transport. When did they post the layout, I went through hell finding that pic. I had to research for quite some time until I found out what Polyhedron it was in, then I had to torrent the pdf, then do a capture of the image. now any nerf hearder can find it lol.
Time for some unsolicited advice
Anyways looks like you guys need a dedicated pilot. Frankly I figure that a hot shot pilot would be better suited to a hevely modified Headhunter. There are a couple of pros ro the Headhunter. First you aren't using "recovered" imperial hardware(less jail time), seccond Headhunter hardware is dirt cheep and plentifull. Concentrate your resources and you will not spread yourselves too thin. There is much to be said about keeping things on the down low, and a Headhunter raises much less suspicion. I wouldn't sell the ARC's I'd chop the guns and engines and build the most bad ass Headhunter space has ever seen, and get an equally bad ass pilot.
Just a couple of ideas | | Peace is a lie; there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken. The Force shall set me free.

| I just googled the Wayfarer and that came up. I guess it's a fairly new addition.
My plan for this character was to just be a support pilot but as a Scoundrel I have the skill points to full bore there. I've certainly been doing my share of the flying.
You make some good points about the Headhunters. I suppose the thing to do is get someplace safe first and determine if we can actually salvage the two wrecks into one flight worthy Z-95.
Either way we go with the fighters the Duty Free already has a reputation that's going to follow us around.

| I as i said, wouldnt mind taking on the pilot duties, and i aggree with virg as he does make a very good point, i mean the headhunter is always around... actually to the best of my knoledge it is the only fighter in all 3 era's :S with perhaps a few that virg and jay could probably name of the back of their heads, but thats besides the point. If it is alright with you guys, i can just concentrate on piloting. I have estabilished a somewhat good ground fighter as well since i can SOMEWHAT hold my own on the ground. and i guess i see everyones point if i go flying around in a jedi starfighter although i think the best, would not probably sit to well with imperial patrol's. To that extent i do not have anything in repair, however i can still pilot pretty damned ok. And if i became a jedi Ace, my piloting skills would most definatly increase, but that is just what i think, if anyone else really wants to pilot the fighter go right ahead, im just trying to help out the group as best i can. Although really lol i see why not to many people play jedi, except for the awsomeness of lighsaber ownage, it doesnt to much help the group, but i can always cross class into something else, or master my jedi training and become the "LETS REUNITE THE JEDI ORDER, COME FOLLOW ME TO THE ANCIENT TEACHINGS!!! " although i dont think vader would like that much. | | Well, I would like to think my new profession is pretty simple... | Your best bet for a pilot would be a Soldier. For the main reason that his/her BAB goes up every level, and the character is still an asset ground side. As for Will's character, you may want to think about cross classing. Basically if you pull your lightsaber out you'd better kill your foe, and anyone else that sees you use it.

I would be the same as Will except I played when I was ill which was an extra 750 XP. So Chewbecca is level 2 and 2250 XP; I guess the same as Mike and Rob...no thats not right!
Hey Mike and Rob; did you guys add your 750 XP? You should have more than me cause I missed one session at Spring Break. When Jay gave me XP he said I should be only 750 away... or was he talking about you guys...? Rrroawrr!!!! Confused. | | Pounce goes the cat!!! Felix the Flounder strikes! | So, everyone in for Star Wars this week?
Either way we go with the fighters it appears we are down the dusty ol' hyperspace route to becoming rebels. Not a bad way to go although it may proclude a lot of our free trader ambitions, not to mention our freedom in general as we'll likely be put in the position of following someone's orders.
Of course we can try and play it loose, go our own path and help out when required. Could work for a while, allow us some more profitable opertunities although the more we oppose the Empire the more we'll be forced to sign up. If the Empire is going to treat us as rebel scum we may as well have the protection they can offer.
We're going to have some interesting decisions to make as a group this week it seems.

But don't dispair! Nev is going to practice his stealth this week and shadow the crew around.
And if I haven't mentioned it, I also getting a few friends together at The King's Head pub on Saturday for festivities. So all of you are invited to come out. | | "GameKnight Games and Cool Stuff Winnipeg's source for RPGs and minis!" www.gameknight.ca

| I think playing it loose is a pretty good way to go!!! Not everyone should want to join which splits the party a bit - conflict can be good sometimes.
As we move along we will be forced to get more involved. Look at Solo and Calarissian - but they did try to make their own credits 1st by doin business 1st - and they had to be convinced!
We need some good old fashion convincing - lest we trade our glue and Jedi into Vader directly!!!
I am good with this Friday!!! | | Pounce goes the cat!!! Felix the Flounder strikes! All heed the Drunken Paladin who performs comedy!!!
