| It was an excellent session Mike - but for Richard's benfit - here goes (then back to marking!)
After spending the rest of the night recovering from our Werewolf attack in the night we are ready!!!
We check out the bottom floor to find nothing left of our mules. Werewolf snacks!!!! Search a room we couldn't get into last time - lots o traps that the rogue activates and dodges. Can't remember if cutter or anyone tried to snag those all those arrows that were sprung from the trap. I don't remember what you guys looted from that room?
Up to the 3rd level...Forest glad...attacked by little trees, bigger trees and then a couple of shambling trees Found a sword in the bushes...gave it to the rogue cause I criticalled his Staff he is always losing. I think his new sword would have made up for his lost old one but it is not that valuable.
Up to the 4th level, everyone falls asleep into this room with a book on the altar. Well I didn't fall asleep and neither did Bach, Rob, Len or Chris...we were worthy of something. Then we discarded of the sleepy heads as werewolf bait...that didn't work....
Then we woke up some sleeping Elveen chick in a crypt or something. We got transformed into silver robots - i did anyway. Oh and the tower collapsed cause the rogue didn't steal those gems like he was supposed to...
I hereby forfeit my accurate account of the tale...it makes not f@#k sense!!!! I don't know s%$t!!!
Must go mark something - great sesssion | | Pounce goes the cat!!! Felix the Flounder strikes! All heed the Drunken Paladin who performs comedy!!!

| Still a couple days left to post your musings on the past couple sessions for Richard.
As for this Wedensday we have a few options so I'll put it to a vote.
1 -Â Forge on ahead with some more D&D without the players who can't make it. There's a bunch of in town business to take care of that not necessarily everyone has to be there for.
2 -Â A little in campaign DDM tournament with in game prize to the winner.
3 -Â A side campaign of Marvel Super Heroes.
4 -Â Hoof Scott in the nuts.
5 -Â A little side campaign of Mechwarrior RPG.
6 -Â Stand on the sidelines and heckel Paula's D&D group, laugh as Garret dies for the 3rd week in a row.
7 -Â A boardgame of some sort.
8 -Â Take the week off and meet up next week to resume D&D.
Let me know what your preference is everyone.

| Well, just when we thought we were finally going to get some relaxation, something broke into the tower. Getting through our barred doors and pausing only long enough to whet their appetite on our pack mules, a group of werewolves came storming up the stairs. While the bard and rogue were late risers to the skirmish, the six evil beasts were destroyed when we worked together as a group. The bard continually exclaimed that he wanted to carve out the teeth from the monsters as a trophy, perhaps not yet noticing that they had already reverted to their human form. I have a hunch that the cleric or paladin would have taken issue had the gnome begun carving out the human teeth! Somehow, defiling dead bodies is ok when it's a monster, but not a human. At any rate, it would seem that, so far, none of us are showing any signs of that dreaded curse. Gawain has kindly applied some sort of magic to ward off the disease for a time while I inspected myself and the two others who were bitten. With luck, our early diagnosis will prove correct. Feeling that the rest of the night would fare better, we went back to rest. I managed to scout the tracks of the wretched vermin and found that two others had gotten away, both heading northerly, but splitting up from each other. At some point, they will taste the silver in my blade!
In the morning we set to searching the rest of the tower. We found what appeared to be an indoor Druid's glade. Intriguing. We were attacked by increasing sizes of bushes and trees. Assuming that since the tower had been abandoned for thousands of years, I can't blame the poor critters for attacking us. Even if they were once passive, that much time on their own may have changed their attitudes. At any rate, among the broken and twisted branches, a sword was discovered that may allow the rogue to simmer down about regarding his precious scimitar that he wants me to track down. We'll see.
Continuing higher, we came to a room with a sacred altar. The warning on the door indicated that only the worthy could enter. Feeling apprehensive, I followed the two elves in to no ill effect. Humourously, the gnome and the rogue both fell unconscious, as, not surprisingly, did the goblin. To my great joy, the donkey came in to the room. Either the effect does not apply to animals, or whatever power that controls this room felt the donkey was more worthy than some of my companions! At any rate, we soon realized that in order to continue on, we would need to absorb the individual sins of our companions as a group to be deemed worthy enough to continue. I still had no idea what "worthy" meant or what we were continuing on to do, but we were ready. The gnome decided to abstain, choosing to watch over the goblin and donkey rather than joining us. For the rest, we went on to the rest of the floor through a new door that opened to us. We came to a test wall that I thought was going to drive the rogue crazy! They had to place a series of 8 diamonds representing elven deities in order of rank. The diamonds were, according to the rogue, worth about 10,000gp each, perhaps ten times that to a collector! Still, he managed to steele himself and not even attempt to touch them, let alone pinch them. In the tomb behind the test, we found a large coffin. To our pleasure and surprise, new equipment suddenly appeared. New armour, swords, staves, rods - all in silver! We determined some had special extras, my sword for example longs for the blood of orcs! We managed to open the coffin to find a young elven girl, no more than my height! She is apparently someone special, put in stasis to fulfill some prophecy of protection/salvation of her people. She woke up, did her best to heft her mighty equipment, and came along with us. To the best that we were able, already laden with our own goods, we took up her burden to free her of the strain. We were at once out of the tower, which suddenly started quaking. The goblin and gnome came leaping out of the window set 50 or 60 feet in the air, to be caught in the Web that the wizard created. The tower than collapsed, taking the diamonds and the donkey with it. Rather than a rubble pile, when the dust cleared, we gazed upon a hole in the ground with an entrance. It seems the entire tower disappeared, leaving the entrance to some underground system.
Realizing that we still had commitments in Shadowdale, and that the young newcomer needed to rest and be apprised of recent events, we journeyed on. After a few days in the woods, we have arrived. This is my first visit to the area, but it seems nice. The others have been through here a few times now and have even taken the area as part of their group name. I guess I am now a part of this group as well.
Now that we have this elven relic of the past with us, it will be interesting to see what the future holds....! | | All hail the mighty Green Rhino!

| I like option 5, but I'm not sure how important the RPG aspects of it are to me I just like blowing other mechs up.
Option 4 is a problem since Scott wouldn't be there.
And whatever we do we can laugh as Garret dies for the 3rd week in a row. | | Champion of Champions (for all races! even Gnomes ) Reference Thread Winnipeg Gryphon Cavalry Forums

| Well I'm pretty sure your safe from option 4 anyway. though I do find it rather amusing that you would rather get kicked in the nuts then miss out on a D&D session.
I'd probably give you bonus xp for that if I was DM | | Champion of Champions (for all races! even Gnomes ) Reference Thread Winnipeg Gryphon Cavalry Forums

| Hey all,
Well, this week of training for my new hjob is getting pretty heavy. I don't think I will be in any shape to game on Wednesday this week, so no gaming is good for me. That will give me time to recharge and get ready for next week. By then I will have a regular schedule and be used to things and be back in the frame of mind to get the campaign moving forward again.
Cheers

I don't think I'm feeling switching gears to run Mechwarrior at the moment.

| I'm kind of limited in what I can bring tomorrow, since I don't have a car still. I'll bring Axis and Allies down and maybe we can play that for the evening.
I'll check here in the morning to see if there are any other suggestions. | | Champion of Champions (for all races! even Gnomes ) Reference Thread Winnipeg Gryphon Cavalry Forums

My vote is (if I get one) 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and lastly 1. I hate missing and apparently I am now missing Star Wars too

A lot of factors would come into play.... what kick of run up does the kicker get, does he spilt the uprights, who does the actual kicking, what kind of footwear do they have on, how hard do they laugh after, how hard do you cry after, how fast you fall to the ground clutching, how loud you scream, what kind of expletives start to fly, does your voice change, how quickly you go for the ice bag, does some one give you the Nelson Haa Haa?
So many things to consider......

At the same 6ish start time, earlier the better.

Considering you were not there, I don't see how you could.
Just a feeling. Here, I'll tell you what will happen tommorow.
After getting rested in town everyone is ready for more adventuring and want to know the true power of the elven relic. They are told to go to the old Hermit 2 miles out of town. After 3 simultanious successful slap the gnome checks on the way there, Dingle got dizzy while trying to cross a river on a falled tree and broke his leg. After spliting it in place and a random encounter with a couple of wolves, the excited adventurers make it to the hermit's house. He greets them with a happy smile telling them all about himself and how he came to live where he does and why he herds Dire Bison. He then takes a look at the relic and says the magic words (spoken in elven), dance the electric boogaloo, and the relic wraps around his left arm and ends in a shortsword looking blade. He then turns into a Bearded Devil (His true form) and runs up the stairs. He threatens to destroy the relic unless the adventurers pay him 75,000 gold. The adventurers come up with 70,000, but Lannister comes up short seeing as he used that money to try and impress the ladies (which he failed to do). So the adventurers fight the Devil and win. They leave with nothing more than a Bison which they used to carry the Gnome back to town. | | Disipline is the only way to overcome chaos.
