| Mistake corrected, hey it was late when I wrote it.
And yes I am the official schedule maker! Bwaaa Haaaa Haaaa!!!!!!!
At least I have been since November. If you have a suggestion for a theme game better than those I've provided feel free to speak up. I tried to keep it to a good mix of new events that most people can play and the popular ones like Team night which most people seem to come out for and enjoy.

| Maybe this one is good. I had to go into the archives to pull this one out. I made this a while ago for the Vassal EC. You're going to want to kill you opponent quickly.
Crushing Catacombs
Special: At the end of every round the edges on the extreme left and the extreme right side of the map slide over 2 squares.
Any mini beside the wall slides in the direction of the wall (It gets pushed). If the mini gets pushed into an enemy, the enemy gets an AoO and the mini then goes to the next closest open space. The player who controls that mini gets to choose the space if there are multiple open spaces available. If it comes to a point where the edges touch each other in the center the minis left are destroyed and the player with the most points wins. If a mini is between the edge and a wall that's part of the map and can't move one square to get out of the way it is destroyed. Teleporters that are slid over by the walls don't function and cease to exist. The sliding doesn't effect terrain at all.

| I just tested the catacomb idea. It was quite fun for me. You essentially have 9 rounds to kill your oppoent before the walls crush you. As the edge moves the exit squares move with it so minis can still run off the board. In the game I played all that was left was Tordek and a Bralani (same team). A Wemic Barbarian and a Chuul were destroyed by the walls squshinh them. The Wemic was squshed between the walls because he couldn't share Tordek's space. Selfish Tordek. I was playing on the Broken Demongate. I found that in the beginning of the game it was just a normal battle. But later, in about round 3 or 4, things started to get squishy and interesting.

| 2 down 1 more to go.
Anyone else try the Earth Element Gargoyle? In the catacomb game I was playing it worked very well. I came up behind the other warband and killed Regdar and Nebin. It flies and burrows! And DR. If only it could hit things a bit easier. I'm going to try to find more of them. | | Disipline is the only way to overcome chaos. | To make the Heroes and Villains game a little more likely to include the villains I think going with a minimum 100 points of Uniques rather than having to have 3 will work better. Most of the recent Evil Uniques are fairly high costed.
So I went ahead and made that change to my proposed schedule.

Even if it isn't going to be included in the next two months, I would like to know what you guys think about it. What happens to the victory areas in your scenario or is it just a straight skirmish? Even more important how are exit areas handled?
It seems to complicated for my tastes, probably a week I would skip if it ends up on the schedule. That being said if other people speak up for it and Scott likes it that's what counts.

| Victory areas are active until completely covered by the edges creeping over them. Exit squares move with the edge. A mini doesn't get pushed outside the map if it is beside the edge when the edge moves. It could have just been me, but I found the game fun. I could remove the aoo rule when the edge moves if that helps.
3 down. It's over for another couple of months. Last one wasn't as easy as I had hoped. | | Disipline is the only way to overcome chaos. Champion of Half-Golems Knight of Golems "This world is made for love and peace" - Trigun "anyway..shadow..you've figured women out. KUDOS." - raye_kino16

| Hi All,
The trip was good. I got to meet some of the suppliers I talk to weekly, and find a few more. I found some info on some new games, plus miniature catapults and trebuchets.
I'm glad to see so many people out on Saturday. I wish I was at that one. I like 100 point games.
Thank MJ for the next two months of schedules. I skimmed over it and it looks good. I may make a few changes as usual, but I'll see when I do it on my end.
Shadowlord XT, Shadowlord, Shadow Lord, or The Shadow (gasp....), the Crushing Catacombs does look like it could be fun. I played a limited D&D tournament based on the same idea. Everybody dies in the end, so of course I like it. | | "GameKnight Games and Cool Stuff Winnipeg's source for RPGs and minis!" www.gameknight.ca

I put in a request for an Axis and Allies: Battle of the Bulge demo for Saturday March 24th.
So if you could add that to the schedule that would be great.
Any ideas on another demo anyone would be interested in? | | Champion of Champions (for all races! even Gnomes ) Reference Thread Winnipeg Gryphon Cavalry Forums

| Five people braved the weather tonight to come out to minis. Richard, Tom, Jay, Jory (late as usual..... and without Bach's $10) and myself. Guess who won?
4-5 warbands were CE, go figure.
Congratulations to Tyler on winning the Blue Dragon, it's all Jay's fault......

| The avatar matches the quote, that's my policy now. Therefore it is Ignignokt of the Mooninites, arch enemy of the Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Sadly most of their tastiest quotes aren't fit for a public forum..... alas.
Anyhoo.... my warband from last night wasn't a serious tournament band, just a for fun theme warband. Vlakith, 3 Zombie White Dragons, a Skeleton, and 2 Warrior Skeletons. Won a close game with Jay in the first round on points, one or two rolls and it would have easily gone the other way. 2nd round against Richard I was just old school over powered, some bad dice rolls didn't help. In the third round I beat Jory but that was super close too, he won initiative 4 times because he had the higher commander rating and my last ZWD had 5 hit points left when I won on victory points.
On to the future, Dreamblade tonight! Any new player's who brave the cold tonight I'll buy them a Slurpee.

| | We had 9 out for DDM today (4 for SWM). Tyler won, beating me in the last game. He was playing an Inspired Leuitenant, 2 soulknife infiltrators, Maug, greenspawn sneak, Green Dragon, Azer Raider, and a goblin of some sort. I had 2 Maugs, Harmonium Guard, Cleric of Syreth, and a Couatl. The last game was sort of decided right at the beginning. I lost map, side, and the first 3 initiative rolls. My Couatl was erased from existance on round 3 before it even activated. Oh well. At least I played. | | "GameKnight Games and Cool Stuff Winnipeg's source for RPGs and minis!" www.gameknight.ca | |

| My experiment worked. Inspired Lieutenant + Soulknife Infiltrator = +12 attack Inspired Lieutenant + Soulknife Infiltrator + Green Dragon = +16 attack Now if only the Soulknives had unlimited sneak attacks and some extra HP.
I got the bye first round. I pulled the second game out of the stomach then put of the jaws of defeat (It was too close for my liking). My Soulknives were double acid breath weaponed which they all failed except one roll. Green Dragon got flanked by Shadowdancers. It was crazy. Then I pulled my maug into the battle as it should have been from the start and started winning. Final round, vs. Scott. As he said I won map, side and the first couple of initives. Round 3, Couatl was left open so Greeny and a Soulknife flanked it and both criticalled. Soulknife smited and sneak attacked thankfully to kill the couatl. Green Dragon did 20 dmg and Soulknife did 40 dmg. It was just a matter of slowly killling the Maugs. Sadly, I pulled an Air Genasi Swashbuckler. Wait that's what I said about the Bralani. Hmmmm, maybe I can find a use for the swashbuckler too. | | Disipline is the only way to overcome chaos.
