| Shadowlord,
Actually, it really isn't a trading thread. It is where we Winnipeg players meet up in cyberspace, but trading is confined to the Trading scetions of the boards. This thread is more a place to swap news about upcoming events, generally chew the fat, etc.

| Hey guys, how are you, long time no see or talk. Sorry I have not been out on any of the thursdays. I have been working late and so that keeps me out of the loop. I am ever so sorry. If things get a little easier at work i will come out to some games. Now that I am no longer one of the GameKnight crew, I will be able to play.
On a different note. Idzy and I have a D&D game on Sunday nights and we are looking for some dedicated players. Please let me know if you are interested. dagopher@mts.net or you can let Idzy know. I am sure that he would be happy to give you what ever info you need. It is every Sunday from 7:00pm until 12:00pm.

You play with what comes in your boosters no faction restrictions, you may not get a commander in your boosters but you can make your lowest cost non difficult creature a commander 0 for 5 points. | | Champion of Champions (for all races! even Gnomes ) Reference Thread Winnipeg Gryphon Cavalry Forums

| | Maybe, but a funny looking LEE is better then no LEE. And it's uncommon to boot, and there have been several figures that looked lacklustre in the previews but looked pretty decent once you got them in hand. Although I dunno about Hulk Hogan masquerading as a djinni. | |

| Hello,
Skirmish tonight saw 6 of us out. Due to timing we could only run 2 rounds, but Orcs vs. Dwarves ran well. A total of 4 Dwarf Bands and 2 Orc Bands were competing.
I ended up 2-0 and in second place. A nice warm fuzzy feeling. [)]
Hope to see some of you out on Saturday for a sanctioned 200 point Assault tourney.
Cheers [:)]

| I also went 2-0 last night with my Orc band which consisted of:
Tiefling Captain Eye of Gruumsh Red Samurai Orc Champ x2 Abyssal Maw x2 Orc Warrior x2
The most amazing part even though I faced 3 Dwarf Cavers I never had to make a morale check at -8 and only lost 1 orc warrior and 2 abyssal maws all night. In the 2nd game I nearly lost the Eye and Tiefling but they made their morale checks at the last minute after each failing twice.
We should note that Omand's second victory was a bye because his opponent's parents came to take him home, I'm sure he would have won anyway but his record is tainted[}:)] | | Champion of Champions (for all races! even Gnomes ) Reference Thread Winnipeg Gryphon Cavalry Forums

Maybe we should have played that final grudge match up at the end to see if my Dwarves could take down your Orcs.
OK, I was 2nd on a technicality, but it still was a good feeling.

It was an interesting fight. Looking back, however, I prbably could have made it and even large victory (33-0 was the score) with a couple of different tile placement decisions and not letting my Warforged Hero get rusted.

[blue]Hi Gang. I'm at home cursing my insanely slow computer. The 500 point game is still 12 figures. As far as I know the rules still haven't officially been changed. Although, with two huges required I can't see many teams with 12 figs. [:p]

The DCI floor rules for DDM have had 500 pts with 8 figure limits for a long time.

| Well I stand corrected. Again. And by Richard....again.
It's a good thing I have Richard around to correct my erroneous ways. Is it coincidence or is it fate that my DCI handbook showed up today. It is true that for a sanctioned tournement in the Extreme 500 point catagory that 8 figures is the maximum. As this is the case, this is what our tournament shall be tomorrow (even though it is not sanctioned, may as well get in the habit).
It is also sanctioned rules to flip over the tiles and use them as obstructions, unless there are extreme format maps to play on. And a copy must be available for all players. I'm looking into getting some, but meanwhile how does everyone feel about just using tiles the old fashioned way. | | "GameKnight Games and Cool Stuff Winnipeg's source for RPGs and minis!" www.gameknight.ca

I like tiles face up, but with the provision that there has to be 3 squares between walls. If you place the tiles face down as all blocking terrain it really kills any chance of playing a ranged warband.

| Hello,
I don't care either way for tiles. Face up or down is Ok with me. As these are fun games I am OK with the three space rule for this time. once we have some Extreme maps (actually I think we can use one of the Fane of the Drow for this) we can run with those.

Unfortunately not. Ignoring the whole time and money factors, it's the same weekend as the CLS Users Meeting in Saskatoon that I have to go to. Yup, going to Saskatoon instead of cali. Boooo.
