Considering that we barely have 8 people out on average (we actually probably haven't had that), I think your spot in the top eight is safe.

I almost forgot as well. I have to ask the league guru if he has the new standings to input after Saturday.
I suppose that he is locked into WoW mode, however, dragon-slaying or some such.
Ah well, we will see the standings when we see them I suppose.

| And just to recap on the rules for the finals, only the players who finish in the top 8 positions move on to the big tournament.
Should someone in the top 8 not show up they won't be replaced by someone in the bottom ranks who does. They will drop to the bottom of the top 8 prizes but automatically still claim one and the tournament will be run between those in the top 8 who do attend. Should there be an odd number I'll drop out as well.
For all those not in the top 8 a secondary tournament will be run. So just because you didn't make the top 8 doesn't mean you miss out on prizes, the top prize here is better than the bottom ones in the big tournament.
Lets make it a fun couple of weeks with the last 1.0 tournaments.

I'd like to come to one of those DDM2.0 demos some time to see how things are looking.

| Decisions are going to have to be made about what kind of D&D Minis tournaments you're going to run. Sanctioned 100/200 points Standard, 100/200 points Vintage, 200 point Sealed?
Non-Sanstioned 2.0 events? Old school 1.0 events? Epic? Themes?
Or perhaps what may turnout to be my favorite new format for DDM, 100 point Single Booster Draft. Two boosters can be expensive for people to afford but a single booster once a month, not too shabby..... | | | |

Well, not really. But I have been provided with the materials to run the 4th edition demo now therefore I will go ahead and run the D&D RPG demo this Friday.
The adventure is for 6 characters but we'll see who shows up and who I can fit in. Everything needed to play will more or less be provided.
Can't make it out this week? Don't worry, I'll run it again next friday. Assuming Game Knight is open.

| Sadly only 4 people out again. Norm, Nico, Ryan, and Scott.
Nico had a chance to win it all but made a couple tactical errors against Norm which pretty much prevented him from competing in that match and he had to settle for going 2-1. Norm was the big winner on the night.

| You have the correct pairings for the first round, assuming all of the top 8 attend. If there is an odd number I'll drop out.
As for the second round, no. Pairings will be reseated based on the rankings going in to the tournament, in your scenario round 2 would be 2 vs 8, 3 vs 4, 1 vs 7, and 5 vs 6.
After that pretty much the 2-0's and 0-2's will play, 1-1's matchedbased on the starting ranks taking in to account previous matchups.
As for those that didn't make the top 8 you are still encouraged to come out and play for the other prizes. I'll determine the actual format there based on how many people show up.
