| Glad you enjoyed it.
At least you got some treasure this time.
Each set of mummy bling would be appraised at 5000 GP. And the emeralds are worth 1000 GP a piece.

| Don't forget you still have to account for Salty Pete's cut.
Not to mention Salty Pete's share.
And then there's the matter of Salty Pete's percentage.......

| Okay, here is this weeks XP posting bonus.
Let's assume you do get to keep all the treasure from the Mummy room. That's 32000 GP. A good chunk of change.
Here's what you have to do, list out exactly how that money should be spent to best benefit the party. Use the list prices in the various books to spend the money. List what items you would purchase, how much they cost, and who and why the item would benefit the party.
The more people who post their lists the more bonus XP will be awarded. There will be 100 XP awarded per player posting a list. I'll double the XP awarded to the player with the best list. That could potentialy be 1400 XP for one lucky player if everyone posts a complete list.......
Note: For this excersise consider any money you don't spend to be given to Salty Pete and the rest of the non-adventuring crew.

| Interesting. If we give Salty 10% (3200) and the enlisted crew a bonus (say 800gp), that leaves 28,000 gp, or 4000 each. That should give everyone a decent +2ish item of their choice. Mind you we should look at party items, like the Wand(s) of curing, potions/scrolls of remove poison/disease and or restoration, and so on. Oh, and a bag of holding to keep it in.
I can't speak for what everyone wants at the top of their list, but maybe they can post their wish list as part of this bonus thingy, and we can work it out together. My main need right now is to up my AC. Currently at 17, with sheild it goes to 21, but I'm still getting hit. More magic on a weapon would be nice, like reforging my axe with some bonuses, but maybe it would take too much to do right if we dole out the money evenly.
Hmmm....I've got paperwork to do, but this has got me thinking......
Post your wants up here, it will help make the lists better. | | "GameKnight Games and Cool Stuff Winnipeg's source for RPGs and minis!" www.gameknight.ca

| | I don't have any books with prices, I have th PHB with the simple littlw prices in there. Like I said earlier I really need new armor and a Dwarven war axe. We also really need some wands and what not. Like Scott said, he has 17 armor with shiel 21 armor, I'm sitting at 14 armor and 15 with a sheild. For a fight that isnt really a good thing. Especially with a MW Long Sword. I would probly give Salty Pete 10% as well and mabye 500gp to the crew. | | SLIPKNOT-WAIT & BLEED SLIPKNOT-(SIC) | |

| 1) allright, I suppose I can help the party with some knowledge. Dorge (garret?) You're a dwarf. You want to use a dwarven war axe (1d10, onehanded). You mentioned 1 extra ac. That's a buckler you're thinking of. Like, a fencing buckler. *slap* seriously lol, grab a +1 extreme shield from races of stone (base +3 ac, +1 enhancement) then grab shield specialization (heavy) for another +1.
2) Dwarves DO NOT take a movement penalty for heavy armor. Buy FULL PLATE. Now. Do it. Now. +8 ac. Get it spiked, just because. After steps 1 + 2 you should have a combined ac of 23. 27 against giants.
3) Profit. and laugh at enemies while they flail uselessly against your mighty armor.

Kai The Dwarven War axe can be two handed first of all, and I'm weapon specialization with it. 2nd I don't wanna sink with full plate, I did that quite well with a chain shirt . I like the Dwarven War Axe 2 handed, I do alot of damage 2 handedly.

Chinese sounds OK to me, Nico does not even need to buy it all.
Beregon's list of treasure ideas is coming sometime over the weekend.

| Hello all,
First things first, I have forgotten our Halfling companions name. I apologize, must have something to do with mummy fear.
So Beregon has considered the situation, and has some options for the party to consider. Of course, I don't know everyones equipment lists or desires, so we would need to fine tune these lists/options a little bit. Grath has done well recently for treasure, so he gets a bit less than everyone else.
It is also important to understand that we potentially have more than 32,000 gp to spend. We also have the 4 Amulets of Natural Armour +1, and 4 Suits of Plate Armour +1 to account for (which Beregon conservatively estimates adds roughly 12 000 more GP to the pot if we only sell the armour and keep the amulets). So some options to think about:
Option #1 - 32,000 gp Total (Not Beregon's preferred option)
Salty Pete - 1500 gp Blue Hippocampus Crew - 500 gp
1 x Headband of Intellect +2 - 4000 gp (For Beregon, gives him 4 extra spell slots per day which will directly aid the party) 1 x Pearl of Power 2nd Level - 4000 gp (For Cedrith, allows him to regenerate 1 2nd level spell per day after casting) 1 x Bag of Holding I - 2,500 gp (For Migwin or Jars, to carry lots of treasure) 1 x Heward's Handy Haversack - 2,000 gp (For Beregon, so that he can pull out any scroll, wand, potion, etc. needed by the party) 1 x Full Plate Armour +2 - 5,650 gp (For Cedrith or Tharnog, AC is always good) 1 x Heavy Wooden Shield +1 - 1,157 gp (For Cedrith or Tharnog, AC is always good) 1 x Dwarven WarAxe +1 - 2,330 gp (For Tharnog, he needs a new weapon) 1 x Mithral Chain Shirt +2 - 4,100 gp (For Migwin, to up his AC) 6 x Potion of Cure Moderate Wounds - 1800 gp (1 for each party member except Migwin who has potions, healing is good) 2 x Potion of Cure Serious Wounds - 1500 gp (1 for Jars, 1 for Tharnog) 2 x Potion of Invisibility - 600 gp (1 for Grath, 1 for the Halfling) 2 x Grappling Hook - 2 gp (1 for Tharnog, 1 for Migwin) 7 x Tindertwig - 7 gp (1 for each party member) 2 x Sunrod - 4 gp (1 for the Halfing, 1 for Cedrith) 7 x Antitoxin - 350 gp (1 for each party member, adding to saves is important and we seem to be poisoned a great deal)
Option #2 - 32,000 gp Total (Beregon's prefers this to Option 1, fairer distribution)
Salty Pete - 1200 gp
Blue Hippocampus Crew - 800 gp
1 x Headband of Intellect +2 - 4000 gp (For Beregon, gives him 4 extra spell slots per day which will directly aid the party) 1 x Bag of Holding I - 2,500 gp (For Migwin or Jars, to carry lots of treasure)
1 x Heward's Handy Haversack - 2,000 gp (For Beregon, so that he can
pull out any scroll, wand, potion, etc. needed by the party)
1 x Full Plate Armour +1 - 2,650 gp (For Cedrith or Tharnog, AC is always good)
1 x Dwarven WarAxe +1 - 2,330 gp (For Tharnog, he needs a new weapon)
1 x Mithral Chain Shirt +1 - 2,100 gp (For Migwin, to up his AC) 1 x Mithral Chain Shirt +1 - 2,100 gp (For Jars, to up his AC) 1 x Mithral Chain Shirt +1 - 2,100 gp (For Cedrith, Tharnog or the Halfing, depending on who needs armour and does not take the Plate Armour)
6 x Potion of Cure Moderate Wounds - 1800 gp (1 for each party member, healing is good) 1 x Wand of Detect Secret Doors - 750 gp (For use by Beregon, Cedrith or the Halfling to find all of those nice hidden places) 1 x Universal Solvent - 50 gp (for the Halfling as back up in sticky situations) Creation Funds for 6th level Wand of Cure Moderate Wounds - 4500 gp (For Cedrith to heal everyone) Creation Funds for 7th level Wand of Magic Missile - 2625 gp (For Beregon to zap the enemies that threaten us) 1 x Scroll of Knock - 150 gp (For Beregon to scribe into his spellbook for use in dungeons, etc.) 1 x Grappling Hook - 1 gp (For Migwin, useful with all the rope we have)
2 x Sunrod - 4 gp (1 for the Halfing, 1 for Cedrith) 4 x Acid - 40 gp (2 for the Halfling, 1 for Cedrith, 1 for Migwin to be used in traps, special circumstances, etc.)
6 x Antitoxin - 300 gp (1 for each party member, adding to saves is important and we seem to be poisoned a great deal)
Option #3 - 42,600 gp Total (Beregon would really love this option if we can pull it off) - Includes the sale of the Plate Armour from the Humanoid Tigers/Rakshasas
Salty Pete - 1800 gp
Blue Hippocampus Crew - 800 gp
1 x Headband of Intellect +2 - 4000 gp (For Beregon, gives him 4 extra spell slots per day which will directly aid the party)
1 x Bag of Holding I - 2,500 gp (For Migwin or Jars, to carry lots of treasure)
1 x Heward's Handy Haversack - 2,000 gp (For Beregon, so that he can
pull out any scroll, wand, potion, etc. needed by the party)
1 x Full Plate Armour +1 - 2,650 gp (For Cedrith or Tharnog, AC is always good)
1 x Dwarven WarAxe +1 - 2,330 gp (For Tharnog, he needs a new weapon)
1 x Mithral Chain Shirt +2 - 4,100 gp (For Migwin, to up his AC)
1 x Mithral Chain Shirt +2 - 4,100 gp (For Jars, to up his AC)
1 x Mithral Chain Shirt +2 - 4,100 gp (For Cedrith, Tharnog or the
Halfing, depending on who needs armour and does not take the Plate
Armour)
6 x Potion of Cure Moderate Wounds - 1800 gp (1 for each party member, healing is good)
1 x Wand of Detect Secret Doors - 750 gp (For use by Beregon, Cedrith or the Halfling to find all of those nice hidden places)
1 x Universal Solvent - 50 gp (for the Halfling as back up in sticky situations)
Creation Funds for 6th level Wand of Cure Moderate Wounds - 4500 gp (For Cedrith to heal everyone)
Creation Funds for 7th level Wand of Magic Missile - 2625 gp (For Beregon to zap the enemies that threaten us) Creation Funds for 2nd level Wand of Lesser Restoration - 1500 gp (For Cedrith to use when we get ability damage, which seems to be often)
1 x Scroll of Knock - 150 gp (For Beregon to scribe into his spellbook for use in dungeons, etc.) 1 x Scroll of Rope Trick - 150 gp (For Beregon to scribe into his spellbook for use in dungeons, etc.) 1 x Sap +1 - 2,301 gp (For Grath or the Halfling, in case we need to take someone alive for questioning)
1 x Grappling Hook - 1 gp (For Migwin, useful with all the rope we have)
2 x Sunrod - 4 gp (1 for the Halfing, 1 for Cedrith, extra light can be a good thing)
4 x Acid - 40 gp (2 for the Halfling, 1 for Cedrith, 1 for Migwin to be used in traps, special circumstances, etc.)
6 x Antitoxin - 300 gp (1 for each party member, adding to saves is important and we seem to be poisoned a great deal) 1 x Quaal's Feather Token - Anchor - 50 gp (Perhaps to Salty Pete in case of Emergency on the Ship)
Of course, all of this is negotiable and simply a starting point. Who already has magic armour? Does anyone not have a magic weapon aside from Tharnog?
Cheers

Sorry, I have had a lot on my plate lately and have not gotten to chronicling ... or other things for that matter. As you can tell from Grath's wish list from above, I pretty much made a joke of it cause Grath is gone after Wednesday anyway.

Dead Dwarf Walking Part 3
Our Intrepid Party had been scattered to the 9 winds when last we left off, except poor Migwin who was dwarfed by a giant Iron Golem. Speaking of Dwarves ours is hanging our in a local tavern as the Party is hunted outside by the town watch!
Grath and Cedrith manage to meet up with the rest of the Party in a back alley after weaving in and out various street corners insuring they are not followed. By shear luck the Party is able to meet up - including Migwin who was lucky the Iron Golem had maxed out his movement and made good his escape (got wise I guess). Tharnog, however, is safe in a local Tavern (or is he?) ... He is approached by the Westgate Guard! Nonchalantly Thagnor continues to sip his Ale ignoring whispers of his Parties description goin around the bar. He is told to come by the watch who he fients innocence and then... ignores! Finally ... Thagnor feels a firm hold upon his shoulder. "Come with us!"
Grath procures cloaks of Ilmater with funds from Cedrith and Beregon - returning from the local square as no one saw Grath during the attack! Our Party makes their way back to the ship unaccousted and precede to tell Captain Salty Pete of their wanted status!
Meanwhile back in the Pub ... Thagnor has slain a number of Towns Guard! He flees the bar and many more watch converge on his position ... he is jumped!!! Thagnor has killed 3 townsguard in his fleeing from authorities ... the bar and town patrons are shocked and aghast ... string him up for killing innocent civil servants! Thagnor flees for the ship with many looking on and the watch in ... hot pursuit!
Salty Pete is aware of the Parties dire predicament ... and orders that they set sail fairly soon ... but as to not alarm the Westgate authorities. The crew silently prepare the ship to leave ... departure time to be booked with the local harbour- master as yet. Migwin and Jars fight over their failed attempt at Pier 17. Salty Pete and Beregon are discussing the ramifications of the Parties wanted status.... when .... a commotion from the dock!!! Thagnor is making a break for the ship! - and - he is bringing the townwatch high on his heels!!! The Party is riveted to the scene but horrorified if the Dwarf should make it to the ship ... the Party would surely incremate the Blue Hippocampus!ÂLuckily .... or Unluckily for some ... Thagnor is tackled by 12 Guards a little more than 100 yards from the ship's direction! Luckily ... there are other ships moored here so Thagnor could have been fleeing to anyone of them! Our happiness is mixed as while we appear safe ... our champanion goes down to cheers of the public saying ... string him up ... yeah!!!! | | Stop monkeying around - thats my job!!!

| Hello all,
So, in answer to Tharnog's question, a Dwarven WarAxe +2 would cost 8,330 gp compared to the 2,330 for the +1 version.
Also, I think we may have even more profit than I calculated. Cedrith can correct me if I am wrong, but the suits of Plate Armour we got from the Tiger guys were also Resist 10 Fire objects as well, correct?
If that is the case, then by the DMG the 4 suits of Full Plate we have from the tigermen is worth 20,650 gp for each suit (2,650 gp for being full plate +1 and 18,000 on top of the that for the Fire Resistance property which grants Resist Fire 10 to the wearer).
If that is indeed the case we can sell for half price and garner 10,325 per suit, giving us 41,300 gp for the armour alone, and then the 32,000 for the mummy bling, etc. That would give us a grand total of 73,300 gp to work with.
That opens up a whole new can of worms for us (and would make Beregon and Cedrith really happy scroll scribers and wand makers, maybe even potion brewers). In that case, I would suggest the following:
Salty Pete - 8,000 gp Mustafa - 1,100 gp Percy - 1,000 gp Blue Hippocampus Crew - 1,200 gp (200 gp each for the 6 members at present)
62,000 gp for the party to then work with.
Option #4 - 62,000 gp Total (Beregon would really, really, really, really love this option if we can pull it off) - Work In Progress
1 x Headband of Intellect +2 - 4000 gp (For Beregon, gives him 4 extra spell slots per day which will directly aid the party) 1 x 1st, 1 x 2nd, 1 x 5th, 1 x 6th level 1 x Pearl of Power 2nd level - 4000 gp (For Cedrith, allows him to regenerate 1 2nd level spell per day)
1 x Bag of Holding I - 2,500 gp (For Migwin or Jars, to carry lots of treasure)
1 x Heward's Handy Haversack - 2,000 gp (For Beregon, so that he can
pull out any scroll, wand, potion, etc. needed by the party)
1 x Full Plate Armour +1 - 2,650 gp (For Cedrith, to up his AC) +9 AC, + 1 Dex bonus if possible 1 x Full Plate Armour +1 - 2,650 gp (For Tharnog, to up his AC) +9 AC, +1 Dex bonus if possible
1 x Dwarven WarAxe +2 - 8,330 gp (For Tharnog, he needs a new weapon)
1 x Mithral Chain Shirt +2 - 4,100 gp (For Migwin, to up his AC) +6 AC, +6 Max Dex bonus if possible
1 x Mithral Chain Shirt +2 - 4,100 gp (For Jars, to up his AC) +6 AC, +6 Max Dex bonus if possible
1 x Mithral Chain Shirt +2 - 4,100 gp (For Marvin, to up his AC) +6 AC, +6 Max Dex bonus if possible 7 x Potion of Cure Moderate Wounds - 2,100 gp (1 for each party member, healing is good) 4 x Potion of Cure Serious Wounds - 3,000 gp (1 each for Jars, Marvin, Migwin and Tharnog)
1 x Wand of Detect Secret Doors - 750 gp (For use by Beregon, Cedrith or Marvin to find all of those nice hidden places) 2 x Universal Solvent - 100 gp (1 for Marvin as back up in sticky situations, 1 for Beregon as spare)
Creation Funds for 6th level Wand of Cure Serious Wounds - 5,625 gp (For Cedrith to heal everyone) Creation Funds for 6th level Wand of Cure Moderate Wounds - 4,500 gp (For Cedrith to heal everyone)
Creation Funds for 7th level Wand of Magic Missile - 2,625 gp (For Beregon to zap the enemies that threaten us) Creation
Funds for 2nd level Wand of Lesser Restoration - 1500 gp (For Cedrith
to use when we get ability damage, which seems to be often)
1 x Scroll of Knock - 150 gp (For Beregon to scribe into his spellbook for use in dungeons, etc.) 1 x Scroll of Rope Trick - 150 gp (For Beregon to scribe into his spellbook for use in dungeons, etc.) 1 x Scroll of Arcane Lock - 150 gp (For Beregon to scribe into his spellbook for use in dungeons, etc.) 1 x Scroll of See Invisibility - 150 gp (For Beregon to scribe into his spellbook for use everywhere) 1 x Scroll of Comprehend Languages - 25 gp (For Beregon to scribe into his spellbook for use everywhere, and on others in the party as well if they are spying) 1 x Scroll of Detect Secret Doors - 25 gp (For Beregon to scribe into his spellbook for general use) 1 x Scroll of Expeditious Retreat - 25 gp (For Beregon to scribe into his spellbook for general use by everyone) 1 x Scroll of Shield - 25 gp (For Beregon to scribe into his spellbook for general use) 1 x Sap +1 - 2,301 gp (For Grath or Marvin, in case we need to take someone alive for questioning)
1 x Grappling Hook - 1 gp (For Migwin, useful with all the rope we have)
2 x Sunrod - 4 gp (1 for Marvin, 1 for Cedrith, extra light can be a good thing)
4 x Acid - 40 gp (2 for Marvin, 1 for Cedrith, 1 for Migwin to be used in traps, special circumstances, etc.)
6 x Antitoxin - 300 gp (1 for each party member, adding to saves is important and we seem to be poisoned a great deal) 1 x Quaal's Feather Token - Anchor - 50 gp (Perhaps to Salty Pete in case of Emergency on the Ship)
Of course, Beregon would still like extra cash to help craft a 6th level Wand of Lighting Bolt of Fireball (6,750 gp) or even better an 8th level Wand of Lightning Bolt or Fireball (9,000 gp). Might be nifty to craft an 8th level Wand of Acid Orb as well (12,000 gp), although that requires a ranged touch attack.
Opinions please!
Cheers

Dead Dwarf Walking Part 4
Capt. Salty Pete announces that the Blue Hippocampus will set sail from Westgate at dusk - nearly an hour after ... Thagnor's hanging in 2 hours! Grim news indeed!
The Party is divided in decision and action ... more like indecision actually. A heavy decision is upon us as dusk will approach very quickly! The Party debates a rescue attempt or leaving the troublsome Dwarf to his ultimate demise. Migwin blames the whole shenaigns on the ill advised rescue attempt of Beregon's Brother! Damn! Salty Pete is sympathetic and willing to listen ... put the safety of ship and crew will come first ... The Blue Hippocampus sets sail shortly after dusk!
The Party debates - Grath goes to see Salty Pete down below to make an apology and an enpassioned plea for the life of their comrade. The Party debates leaving without Thagnor (Garrets starts looking into the PHB). Migwin and Jars actually start to agree on a plan using potatoe sacks, barrels, disguises, bricks, rotten vegetables and horses for a daring escape. They would get close to Thagnor by mingling and inciting general riot - throwing food and bricks into the Dwarf and the general crowd. In the commotion ... Migwin or Jars could grab Thagnor and in a sack of potatoes and run into the alley - where - the switch happens . Jars/Migwin walks away with an actual sack of potatoes pursued by the guards while the other member either a) stuffs Thagnor into a barrel and dumps him overboard or b) rides off with him on a horse. Cedrith, Beregon and Grath would be needed also - but - the plan entails meeting up with Salty Pete later on the high seas!
Beregon and Cedrith disagree with the simplicity of the plan and are heavily leaning on leaving poor Thagnor. In Salty Pete's cabin the Captian accepts Grath's apology (although Beregon had already offered earlier) - but is moved to offer Grath what resources and aid is needed should a sound rescue plan be forged without endangering the rest of the crew and ship. Salty Pete has no wish for the Dwarf to die! Grath returns to his debating companions - Beregon and Cedrith are also trying to come up with a better plan than (a) or (b) - alas nothing works!
While the Party is heartened at Captain Salty Pete's agreement to help ... the Party is still divided. Cedrith and Beregon have given up hope on a reasonable plan ... and Migwin and Jars are determined to carry our either (a) or (b)! Grath is the final vote ... the tie breaker. Suddenly ... someone has an idea ... Cedrith or Beregon believe that maybe the right official might be bribed in the corrupt town of Westgate! Grath siezes the plan and ... unfortunately ... is alone to bribe the official as he is the only one not sought after! Grath is sent to the Executioner's Office to see the high Executioner ... with 200 GP. He poses as ... an ... Executioner's Apprentice seeking an exciting high profile case such as the death of Thagnor! Grath sees the Executioner and begins the art of ... diplomacy!
Meanwhile the Party observes the construction of the Gallows a mere 250 yards from the ship. Migwin believes that the plan to dump Thagnor into the drink would be easier than making a break with him by road. The ship could meet up with the Party under cover of night in a row boat. Beregon and Cedrith point out that Thagnor may drown in the barrel; and, how will you keep him from hangin with all that condensed security??? Grath's negotiations go ... horrible ... the ... Executioner may believe that the Dwarf was part of the Addler's crew and that their Captain wants Thagnor back ... but ... the fake Execution and the Dwarf slave is not worth 100 GP! Grath sighs ... begs forgiveness in the implied insult ... and says he was authorized to go higher ... 200 GP! The Executioner's mood is abated ... he agrees reluctantly ... for ... 250 GP. Grath knows not what to do! | | Stop monkeying around - thats my job!!!

| If that is the case with the 4 suits of armor i would definatly go with option 4. I like full plate +1 and dwarven war axe +2, and thats a far amount of gold to Salty Pete and crew.

| Yes, what will happen to the Dwarf indeed ... sigh
And I am still 2 sessions behind! I think I might adopt Robs concise paragraph method. I love writing; but, there is something to be said of brevitiy and writing for a particular audience. From now on I'll leave the novel writing to my own personal writing ... mind u I should probably finish what i started.

| In response to those lists, jars already has a +1 weapon and a +1 chain shirt, so upgrades are not really necessary at this time. Potions of healing are generally money wasted, wands of healing are more bang for your buck. Also those nifty magical healing belts from the Magic Item Compendium are amazing, up to 3d8, or 4d8? healing per day, standard action to use, can't be used all at once, but costs between 800-1200 gp each, cant quite remember exactly.
There's an amazing write-up on healing vs cost and such on the offical d&d forums through gleemax/wizards. I'll link it if I can find it.
Peace, love and happy pillaging!

| Hello,
Well, that information about Jars is good to know. We might look at upgrading his Chain Shirt then perhaps?
As to the Healing Belts, I will have to look in on that. Read through the Magic Item Compendium, but not everything stuck in my mind.
As to the healing potions, I take your point on the cost, but they have the benefit of not requiring a spell caster to use (unlike the wand) and can be used by anyone at any time. Without potions we would not have a cleric at the moment in the party, as he would have died.
Cheers

| Should be a fun session this week. Chinese and perhaps the last valiant stand of Bloodbath Garth.
Good times.
I was trying to work up an order for this week but the site is down. I suppose we could always just order what we did last time.

| Chris is right about the fire resistance 10 on those suits of plate. Is he also correct about the total value Mike? I'll try to put together a list tonight and I'll post the party treasury for sure. | | Champion of Champions (for all races! even Gnomes ) Reference Thread Winnipeg Gryphon Cavalry Forums

| | Chris is relatively correct on his assesment of the base value of the armor. With a uniquely suite magic piece like the armor the problem is finding the proper buyer to give you fair market value though. | | | |

| Lets assume we want to unload it fairly quickly say a Tenday what would we get for it (the sooner this is dealt with the more time we can spend on the actual adventuring)Â
For that mater would Salty Pete be open to taking an extended stop somewhere to sell this stuff off and prepare the wands and such? | | Champion of Champions (for all races! even Gnomes ) Reference Thread Winnipeg Gryphon Cavalry Forums

| You'd probably get 35-40% of it's real value. Perhaps a little more with skillful negotiation.
As for Salty Pete, he still remembers what happened last time you had shore leave......

| Omand, I like your option #4. I haven't had time to go into details like you have, so I'm someone has done it. I will make suggestions of course. You have 2 healing wands listed, and although healing is good, there are some good utility items:
Another bag of Holding, or a H.H. handysack, or up the one bag to a type III 1000 lbs 7400gp, Qualls Feather token bird 300gp - in case we need to send a message to Salty Pete in a hurry, silversheen, 250 gp, for those bad werewolf days, Hat of disguise 1800 gp, for Gath in monkey unloving towns, Tharnog after he's killed 1 too many guards, or whoever needs to sneeak back into the last port we were at, Goggles of Minute seeing, for the rogues to help find doors/traps/etc Quiver of Ehlonna 1800 gp, holds weapons for the fighters, who may need a variety of tools for their job, Masterwork (or enchanted) theives tools, for the rogues, Longbow +1 set for strength +4, 2800gp, for Migwin, Jars or Tharnog (if their strenths are that high, less if lower) Ghost touch Longsword +1, 8000gp (pricy, but can be passed around between fighters for all the incorporeal stuff we faced) Cold Iron Masterwork Longsword 330gp, just in case of outsiders.... Adamantine Greataxe 3300 gp, eventually MJ will sic golems on us....... Alchemical Silver Greatsword 530gp, same for lycanthropes.....
Okay, I've wasted 30 minutes, now to start my day. If Omand wants to tune up otion 4, I vote for that. Somebody get Smythe to post, or we'll cut them out of the swag. Bonus XP don't cha know!

| I've basically just tuned up Omand's list a bit.
Assuming 32000gp
1000 gp to Salty Pete 200 gp to Mustafa 200 gp to Percy 600 gp (100 each) to the 6 Crew
1 x Full Plate Armour +1 - 2,650 gp (For Tharnog) 1 x Dwarven WarAxe +1 - 2,330 gp (For Tharnog) 1 x Mithral Chain Shirt +1 - 2,100 gp (For Migwin) 1 x Mithral Chain Shirt +1 - 2,100 gp (For Jars) 1 x Mithral Chain Shirt +1 - 2,100 gp (For Marvin) 1 x Mithral Chain Shirt +1 - 2,100 gp (For Cedrith) 1 x Heavy Wooden Shield +1 - 1,157 gp (For Cedrith who has a 18 Dex so Full plate is a bit excessive) 1 x Headband of Intellect +2 - 4000 gp (For Beregon) Creation Funds for 6th level Wand of Cure Serious Wounds - 6750 gp (For Cedrith to heal everyone) Creation Funds for 7th level Wand of Magic Missile - 2625 gp (For Beregon to zap the enemies that threaten us) 1 x Scroll of Knock - 150 gp (For Beregon to scribe into his spellbook for use in dungeons, etc.) 6 x Potion of Cure Moderate Wounds - 1800 gp (1 for each party member, healing is good)
138 gp to the party Treasury or for miscellaneous items like grappling hooks and such.
The cash from the Armor can be used to enhance or buy other items as we see fit.

A 5th does 3d8+5, a 6th does 3d8+6 doesn't it? That extra +1 definitely isn't worth the additional costs. The most cost effective healing is Level 1 wands of CLW (375 gp to make). Save your prepared spells for healing in combat when 1d8+1 doesn't go very far and then top everyone one up after combat with the wands.

| I really like the way everyone is building off of our esteem leaders purchase list! Now that is true teamwork! Scott's listing is cool cause he is suggesting items that can be used by more than one person.

My thinking was that considering how much our party gets injured, the more healing the better. One point at a time.
That said, it was a draft and something we can certainly work on.

And another comment.
As Kai has already indicated up thread, Jars already has a +1 Chain Shirt (which I was not aware of). That frees up cash there for sure.
As to the switch from full plate for cedrith, whatever works. I certainly know that you will have your own preferences.
Super busy today and this evening, so I have not had any more time to look a prices or other alternatives. We will have to talk tomorrow.
Cheers
