Would I really get free entry fees on Friday if I showed up to Gameknight with a hockey mask and a chainsaw?? Mike, for your league, do we still have to buy two boosters in the beginning?? First Question: The shcedule is still in the works. Current Scott has the working copy at Game Knight but it's more or less set with the exception of 1 theme game I believe and readjusting for release events. Perhaps tomorrow night before D&D we'll finish it off.
Second question: Yes.
Third question: No. In the ladder league no boosters need be purchased, you will use minis from your own collection or perhaps ones you borrow including your drafted commander. League fees will be $6 again, the extra dollar used to cover the additional prize support.
That should make things more affoardable for people as you don't have to buy several boosters to stay competative.

| No, no, no.
No need for Lannister to sleep through things tomorrow. The May schedule does not really need to be out for a week or so, lots of time.
Speaking of skirmish. I just found out I have another job interview on Thursday evening, so no Collapsing Caverns or Crushing Catacombs or whatever. I will be back for Saturday. Have to see if I can win two tournaments in a row.
Cheers

| Lannister Lazenby is a notorious card player, dashing ladies man and intrepidly bold adventurer.
Some say a compulsive liar too, but they are mistaken. Lannister is simply a flamboyant craftsman of all things truthful.

| No minis for me tonight, other things have come up. Good luck running your first event Tyler.
The Ladder League sign up sheet is available at the counter at Game Knight, as well as the default draft order sheet. Feel free to rank your top picks in any order you choose, 20 should give you one of your commanders of preference. Just attach your personal draft sheet to the one at Game Knight, post your list here, or email it to me.

| In other Game Knight news I had the opertunity to tweak up the Game Knight schedule for May and June, adding the release events for Alliance & Empire and Night Below as well as confirming the League on the schedule. The new League will run one Thursday and one Saturday in both May and June and probably slow down to a single session for the summer months. The first League session will be Saturday May 12th.
With the League and running 4 sanctioned events per month there weren't many places to put non-sanctioned/non-themed 200 point events. I believe only one made it on to the schedule. With that in mind there is another 200 point team-night and a couple opertunitys to test the 200 point warband you want to build in a non-sanctioned format. When the League slows down for the summer assuming the majority involved think that is a good idea the slots it would have taken will be filled with non-sanctioned 200 point games.
Dreamblade has been scaled back to just Friday's opposite Jay's Star Wars RPG campaign, essentialy making for two Edge events a month. D&D campaigns and Axis & Allies on Wednesdays.
SMW and Star Ship Battles will alternate weekes as before at 10 AM on Saturdays and on May 26th there will be a release event for the new set. Stay tuned here for more details.
As for Sanctioned DDM in May there are 2 200 points games, a 500 point game and a Sealed event where so far the majority of people have expressed a desire for it to be 2 Unhallowed boosters. In June there are 2 more 200 point games, a 100 and 500 point event as well as the Night Below prerelease. It should make for a fun couple months of gaming.

| No worries.
I heard back from Paula and Kerry who won't be there this week but they should be more free to come out to events in a couple weeks when their exams are over. Maybe kerry will even get to use that case of Dreamblade he bought..... of course in two weeks we'll be back to SWRPG on Fridays so he'll have to wait another two weeks......
I've been told by my contact at Wizards that the info on the Alliance and Empire release should be out soon, perhaps even tomorrow.

| Oh, it was terrible. I %#$@ed up big time. I doubt I'll try running an event again. I'll get to what went wrong later, but here's the rundown.
5 people out for the tourny. Garret, Jory, Andy, Dave, and I. Garret had Vlaakith, two Gnolls, a Cursed Spirit, and two Vampiric Dire Wolves. Jory had two Dwarf Snipers, two Gold Dwarves, a Golden Protectar, Warpriest of Moradin, and two Aasimar Fighters. Andy had a Dark Naga, Ultraloth, Dragonmark Heir of Denith, two Kobold Monks, a Doomfist Monk, and I can't remember the rest. I had an Ogre Executioner, Ultraloth, Maug, Gauth, Hobgoblin, and a Kobold Miner.
First Game: Jory beats me, Garret beats Andy, Dave gets the bye. Second Game: Garret beats Jory, I beat Dave, Andy gets the bye. Third Game: I beat Garret, Andy beats Dave, Jory gets the bye. At this point it was 9:00 and there was room for another game. Garret was first on points. So being the greedy, selfish little imp that I am I took the opportunity to vouch for a 4th game. The yays won 4-1. Fourth Game: Garret loses to Dave, Jory beats Andy, and I get the bye.
Standings: (Counting byes as wins) Garret (2-2) Jory (3-1) Andy (2-2) Dave (2-2) Me (3-1)
Now here's where I make my mistake. I'm so intent on beating garret in points to clinch 1st place, I forgot that if he lost I would have more wins than him. I was counting points ahead of wins!! So he got the right amount of points against Dave (even though he lost) and he walked away with the Gorgon.
Final standings for the night: 1- Garret 2- Me 3- Jory 4- Dave 5- Andy
At the end of the night everyone seemed to have fun (Everyone beat someone at one point), a total of 2 minis were crushed into the walls (an Ultraloth and a Gold Dwarf) and learned a couple of things. I learned that minis run off the board faster because of the closing exit squares thus games go by faster. I learned that it is hard to have a mini get crushed because the walls move to slowly. Although if the walls moved any faster there would be little to no combat. And finally I learned that greed blinds you. | | Disipline is the only way to overcome chaos. | Going by your standings:
Standings: (Counting byes as wins) Garret (2-2) Jory (3-1) Andy (2-2) Dave (2-2) Me (3-1)
Final standings for the night should be:
1- Tyler or Jory, whoever, had the most points 2- Tyler or Jory, whoever, had the least points 3- Garret, Dave or Andy, whoever had the most points 4- Garret, Dave or Andy, whoever had the 2nd most points 5- Garret, Dave or Andy, whoever had the least points

| Well it was his event so if he wanted to make points the winning factor I suppose that is his call. So long as that was the rules from the start.
And as long as everyone had fun that's what counts.
As for Dreamblade tonight I might be a bit late myself as I have a quick errand to run after work.

| Well I'm glad to see that the tournament went off okay. I would have liked to be there, but this beer competition was fairly important. The best part is I get real life experience points. I think I can get 2 or 2.5 from this competition. Boy, I'd have to drink a helluva lot of beer to make second level rogue!
I just judged 12 entries in the "Amber Hybrid" catagory. On to "Sour Mash" styles after lunch. Don't worry, sour in this context is a good thing.
Thanks for the work there Tyler. I hope you pick up the gauntlet and run another theme game for us.

| Hey all,
Hope everyone is well.
So, I am looking forward to Retail Adventuring tomorrow.
Some other bad news (well, good for me in some ways), no more skirmishing on Thursdays until June for me. New job on term contract (which may run during the day into the summer as well). Nice money, but less skirmishing time.
Cheers

| I've updated the League commander sheets with slots to rank your commanders in your personal prefered order. I'll drop the sheets off at Game Knight when I get off work at 4PM. It turns out there were a couple incorrect entries on the first list and there are only 125 commanders eligible, oh well.
Have your sheets in on April 28th or take your chances with the default draft order.

Friday is the release for the new Dreamblade set. I suppose we could make it a draft but either way it'll be a limited with 2 or 3 boosters.

| Huh, well then. I suppose I'll stop building 500 pt warbands.
My reasoning for doing a draft was since you and Chris only play two of the factions you can thus draft the factions you play. Or something.

A little more than the cost of a booster per month.
Of course with 8.5 million subcribers worldwide that means Blizzard grosses about 125 million dollars a month...... about 1.5 billion dollars a year.....

| I've tried downloading the 10 day free trial. It took about 2 hours to download 16% before I gave up. My conclusion, WoW doesn't like me.
I've also tried to download the free trial for DDO. I downloaded it fine, but I was missing an application to play that I had no idea what it was so I couldn't get it. My conclusion, DDO doesn't like me either.
