| Posted By Richard II on 04/28/2007 3:58 PM Yeah, I didn't wanna drive half an hour and then find out there weren't enough people to play Dreamblade. Turns out I made the right decision. Well with a third person for Dreamblade Garret might have made the 4th and still have left 4 people to play D&D minis.

The highest anyone had the Tiefling Captain rated was Rob at 2nd but he got his first choice. The Ultroloth was Tyler and Chris V's 2nd choice but they ended up with their first picks. The highest anyone had Urthok rated was 44th with Norm (the only player to rank every commander). Garret had the Greenfang Druid rated 2nd but got his first choice.
So there you go.

| Hello all,
Sorry I did not make it out this afternoon. Last minute business came up related to family and my new job. Should be out next weekend I hope.
As to the League, my first choice was the Cleric of Syreth, which I don't think I see on that list, so I suppose I get it?
Cheers

The highest anyone had him ranked was Nico as his 4th option.

| If it is the WoT, you'd think Wizards would want to make it close to competative so more people will buy the mini. Almost like the Aspect of Nerull.
I was thinking about my picks for the ladder tourny. I was tempted to put the Ultraloth at the top, but I wanted a little challenge. I bet I was the person who ranked the Hezrou the highest (6th). | | Disipline is the only way to overcome chaos. | Sorry I've been out of touch, guys.....you're right, Mike, I don't have that mini. But I do have an Ultroloth....and some of my other choices would have been the Warden of the Wood or Brass Samurai. Would I get to select any of those?

Assuming those are your picks in order there then the Ultroloth is your Commander. That will make Richard happy that someone picked it.

| Actually, I don't have all that great of a Lawful Evil collection to back him up.....I do have the Blackguard on Nightmare, but since someone chose that as their Commander, would I still be able to use this fig in my warbands?
I would be perfectly fine with any of those three....but now I'm starting to lean towards the Warden of the Wood. Can I choose her as my Commander?

| So to recap....
Tom - Cleric of Dol Arrah Nico - Aspect of Moradin Jay - Couatl Chris Love - Cleric of Syreth Norm - Cleric of Garl Glittergold Mike - Storm Silverhand Andy - Warden of the Wood Chris V - Blackguard on Nightmare Jeff - Shuluth, Archvillian Scott - Snig the Axe Tyler - Rakshasa Garret - Vlaakith, Lich Queen Bram - Death Slaad Bach - Vampire Aristocrat Rob - Eye of Gruumsh
4 LGs, 3 CGs, 4 LEs, and 4 CEs. All in all a pretty good balance. Should provide for a good variety of warbands being played.
I will print out and post a sheet at Game Knight on Monday after work. Let the warband planning commence!

| And just for fun we can spin things ahead to May 12th and assuming that everyone shows up these will be the 1st round matchups.
Chris V vs. Garret Tom vs. Norm Nico vs. Jay Jeff vs. Bram Bach vs. Scott Rob vs. Tyler Andy vs. Chris L Mike the bye
So if you like you can start building a warband to crush your first round opponent.....

You have the Warden of the Wood now Andy, the Ultroloth goes back into the pool of undrafted commanders.
No more changes.

| So with Scott thinking of closing Friday nights over the summer any thoughts on where we'd like to move Dreamblade?
Wednesday might work but to be honest I'd prefer to run my D&D campaign every week if possible. Thursday conflicts with DDM, I suppose we could schedule an Edge event on a Thursday Night and run it along a non-sanctioned DDM theme event.
The only other option seems to be Saturdays again which don't seem to popular.
Any thoughts? | | | |

| Well I can see Scott's point on the Friday's its not paying for him to keep the store open if its just 4 of us playing.
Thursdays that have theme games are doable I think, saturdays might be better though.
But, what will we do about Star Wars RPG?
Or we could try to convince Lisa to let Scott play dreamblade on fridays too | | Champion of Champions (for all races! even Gnomes ) Reference Thread Winnipeg Gryphon Cavalry Forums

| I don't know that we can afford to run multiple tournaments on the same day. Too many of us play the same games, so if we play one the other one dies. For myself if I had a choice to play Dreamblade vs DDM, I'd probably choose DDM, unless it was a particularly annoying theme night. In theory I'm going to be started up rpg soon again, so not sure what my availability will be like other than being free thursdays.
Saturdays may or may not be ok, but I just don't want to drive half an hour to the store and find there aren't enough people to play. It's a waste of time and money.

| Hey all,
I will not be able to make it out for the first league session due to work, so Mike, you may need to reshuffle the initial pairings (or Andrew gets the bye).

I was leinant with Andy because he has a limited collection having just started more or less. You ranked the Rakshasa #1 so for now you are stuck with him. Both Richard and myself have won tournaments with him as a commander so I'm sure you can come up with some competative builds.
If you're truely unable to work a good warband with the commander you have the bottom third of the league will be given the opertunity to switch commanders after the 6th session.

1) Do I need to fill in any paperwork to send off to Wizards for the A&E release?
2) Did the new retailer kits come in?

| Thanks for being cool about Warden of the Wood, Mike.....I know I'll probably regret it later, but I have a hankering to play a "flora & fauna" type themed squad....after trading my Devourer to Chris, my LE faction has no big hitters, and I think I've got plenty of those in my CG collection.....I guess it all comes down to knowing how to use them....
BTW...anyone got any Plants or Animals they want to trade out?
