| Hey spikegif,
I still don't know if I will be able to go to the ID qualifier. Now my relatives are coming up this weekend and I'm not sure if I'll be able to leave. All I know is that I really want to. Do you have a guess at about what time I might get back home. Anyway, I'm going to the Blackrose today and that campaign event sounds cool. I hope we can do that. I know of at least one other player (patrick) that will be attending the black rose events on a regular basis. I hope to see you there tonight.

| On 7/2/05, Corim Danex was the winner in the 100 point assault tournament at Game Den.
There were only four of us due to the Idaho qualifier luring away several players. However, there were enough for a round robin competition. Dice didn't go well for some today. | | "Look to God and live." Alma 37:47 Vindicated Champ of Hippogriff (Arcadian Hippogriff) and Uncommon Horse

I am not sure of any players in Lehi, but the Game Den does have a store in Provo (Provo town mall)? they may be able to inform you on other players in your local town. | | First peon to make it to "Knight Warlord" Completed Trades -148-

I talked to spikegif earlier today, and he didn't know yet. The shop hadn't announced. With one week to go, I think they should decide very soon. | | "Look to God and live." Alma 37:47 Vindicated Champ of Hippogriff (Arcadian Hippogriff) and Uncommon Horse

I do not know what the start time and cost will be. I received an email Thurdasy from the TO and he did not have a start time or cost figured out yet. He did give me a cost range, but I hope he does not think he will be charging that much for 2 boosters. I think he is still thinking that it is a starter and 2 boosters.
this is what I dislike about the events being run at this location. No one knowes what is going on and they can not decide on what they are going to do. I have not been in for over a month because of vacation and a trip to the the ID qualifier, so I have not been able to get them to select a time. I hope to have some info late Monday. | | First peon to make it to "Knight Warlord" Completed Trades -148-

so far the Blackrose format is open to what every you feel like playing. I do not often play 500 pt as I do not carry around the minis for it (Huge minis are not often use and thus stay home). If you would rather do 500 and not the campaign, I see no problem with that. | | First peon to make it to "Knight Warlord" Completed Trades -148-

| actually I still want to do the campaign, I was hoping to have someone who will be showing up bring a 500 PT army and show up either early or late so I can start playtesting armys to see how they work out.
The only 500 PT game's I've played have been in drafts or sealed box tournaments. | | Fusion Creations a web design firm offering a unique blend of marketing and design with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. They focus on a higher ROI for their clients as well as superb customer support.

That is disappointing. I'm hoping for a $20 entry fee and will accept up to $25. Over that and I'm not sure it is worth it. It seems like these things should be decided well in advance so that some advertising can be done.

| I just called Game Den @ Valley Fair Mall.
The tournament starts Saturday at noon. The entry fee is $25.00. There will be 2 Angelfire boosters for each person. It will be 200 pt sealed from those two boosters. | | "Look to God and live." Alma 37:47 Vindicated Champ of Hippogriff (Arcadian Hippogriff) and Uncommon Horse

I thought it was going to be $30. I agree that $25 is still high. $22 would have been better if they weren't going to do $20. | | "Look to God and live." Alma 37:47 Vindicated Champ of Hippogriff (Arcadian Hippogriff) and Uncommon Horse

| | That is a bit pricy considering that for the Deathknell pre-release they charged only $5 more and it came with an extra starter set. As for Blackrose this Thursday, I know I am one of the few regulars so I thought I'd let you know that I can't really do a 500 point game because I've never bothered collecting the huge pieces. Sorry. But I still hope to see at least one other person there this time. It would be so much better if we could get four. | | | |

| Considering boosters retail at 12.99, 25 for the pre-release is more than reasonable. Prize support is determined by WOTC, however participants still will get tile/repaint etc. from the league kits.
If 25 is too much, I'd suggest playing in the 200 PT sanctioned event for 5 bucks following the "Anglefire" Pre-Release event. Prizes same as every Sat.
Incidentally, the FAQ had a nice tidbit, play top four, and if over 32 players, play off the top eight.

| I'll vote for spikegif. If for no other reason than to keep myself from being nominated [)]. As far as the cost of the PreR, I kind of figured that $25 was fine, I'm more looking forward to getting some long overdue game time in.

Well, thank you.
I thought I already have done that. I started running events after the GoL release event when the current judge dropped the ball. the only store in SLC that I talked with that had any desire to do so is the Game Den. One on the owners plays, but he spends most of him time at their other store in Provo. From info that I have gathered, WotC has limited prerelease and Major events to retail locations only. I have no desire to start a retail shop as I only care about rpg and DDM (SWM at times) and not for any of the cash cow card games.
I have tried to get other locations to start events, but my time is limited that I can offer to help them. I have talked to the Blackrose about running events. If we get enough players to the Thursday actvities, they may start something, but I don't think they will have any major event for some time. | | First peon to make it to "Knight Warlord" Completed Trades -148-

| Another note:
It is time to request new DCI events for August at the Game Den, and we can add in September. what event types would you all like to play?
July 30: 500pt extreme Aug 13: __________ Aug 27: __________ Sept 10: __________ Sept 24: __________
Draft: 2 boosters, cost unknown Sealed: 2 boosters, cost unknown 100pt constructed 200pt constructed 500pt extream
with the draft and sealed we could mix sets; GoL, Aberations, Deathknell, Anglefire.
Let me know so I can get the request to the TO soon. | | First peon to make it to "Knight Warlord" Completed Trades -148-
