| I think it's pretty nice that we could get close to prerelease numbers for some of these tournaments. Even if we get double digits in any given tournament that would be nice. The League is designed to function best with more players. Who knows, perhaps even more people will show up today and join....

| So the first Ladder League session went down and I think it's safe to say that it was a success. 14 players came out to try their luck in total which was fantastic. They included Garret, Tom, Richard, Bram, Scott, Bach, Chris V, Paula, Andy, Jeff, Norm, Nico, Tyler, and myself. Since we had that many players we ended up going 4 rounds to get a decisive winner and to no one's surprise the 4-0 was Richard so he stands as the top rung in the Ladder that everyone has to gun for.
Thanks to Scott for hosting the event and the 2 boosters provided for prize support this week. Tyler got a Blood Golem of Hextor as the rare from his booster, the rest was drafted among the other players.
For those that weren't in attendance the final prize structure will break down like this. 3 boosters to who finishes in 1st place, 2 to 2nd place, and a single booster for the 3rd place League finisher. In addition 6 rare minis will be offered to the following categories, the player who finishes in 4th place overall, the player who finishes in last place overall, the player selected with the best sportsmanship, the player with the beast attendance and the worst overall record, the player with the best theme warbands, and once chosen at random with draw tickets (1 ticket per event attended per player).
Here's how the initial ladder standings break down.
1 Richard - 100 points
2 Tyler - 95 points
3 Tom - 90 points
4 Mike - 85 points
5 Garret - 80 points
6 Jeff - 75 points
7 Chris V. - 70 points
8 Paula - 65 points
9 Scott - 60 points
10 Bram - 55 points
11 Andy - 50 points
12 Norm - 45 points
13 Nico - 40 points
14 Bach - 35 points
Anyone new who enters the league or someone who is signed up and not played yet will come in at 30 points for the next session on Thursday May 31st.
In addition Bram's Slaads were voted as the best Theme Warband this week.
I put in tickets for everyone who I didn't hand them to personally.

Alright! I got a Blood Golem. I had a feeling I could've got 2nd place.
What was Richard's rare? Was it a Large Black Dragon like he hoped?
Now that I think about it, it's better that I lost to Scott seeing as I wouldn't have gotten enough points against Richard to top 2nd place. Thanks for the game scott, next time I'll beat Snig and his super underlings that could all eat him in generally one or two bites. | |

For trade I have a Death Knight, Bone Claw, Orog Warlord, Roper, Gulgar, King Obould, Orc Wolf Shaman, and Van Richten. Anything there? | |

| Here's a quick design I made up for the t-shirt for the SWM Alliance and Empire release event. Let me know what you think.
I didn't have handy access to the Game Knight logos or font so i went with a Star Wars one. I decided to keep it generic rather than put A&E on it so extra t-shirts can be given out as prizes at other events or sold just to promote the fact that the Star Wars goes down at Game Knight. Word. | | | |

| I will definitely be there for the Alliance & Empire Release Tournament.....trouble is, I'll have to leave @ around 3-3:30 pm. If I place high enough in the qualifying rounds, will I still be eligible for prizes even if I'm not there for the finals?
It really sucks that I have a job that night.....I've been looking forward to a SWM release tournament since the last set, but I just can't pass up the opportunity to make a couple hundred bucks and further my career as a photographer.....
Anyway....I still want to play as long as I can that day, and I'll still end up with two boosters of the new set....and a free t-shirt (XXL for me please!).....BTW, I think the design looks awesome!!
Oh yeah..........and my Warden of the Wood WILL have her revenge!!! The forces of Nature can only be pushed so far!!!

| | If you made the finals but had to leave you would essentialy end up in 4th place and get the prizes for that. If we keep to a pretty tight schedule with 120 point matches I don't think it should take too long to complete a tournament. My guess is attendance will merit 4 rounds, we'll see if a 5th would be good or just muddy things up. | | | |

Speaking of Keycon this week, who's going to be going to that and who will we have for Dreamblade Friday?
Also, since the Friday night tournaments for Dreamblade have been canceled should we try moving them to Saturdays (likely June 2nd and 23rd) or just let them pass? Neither of those dates work for me as they are my scheduled work Saturdays but we could always put me in as the Judge and Scott could play. | | | |

I will be out for DDM on Thursday, Dreamblade on Friday, and probably DDM again on Saturday. Although I may skip saturday if I'm feeling lazy. But playing minis is better than sitting around at home eating potato chips and getting fat (ter). | |

10 AM works for me and Dreamblade. I don't mind the tournaments being scheduled for when I work either so long as you get the numbers elsewhere. They would run across from Star Wars events one of which is a sanctioned game. | | | |

| Essentialy there are 5 Saturdays in June, 2 of which I have to work. The 5th of course is the Night Below prerelease so that's not an option at all.
Of the 2 other Saturday afternoons the first is a Ladder League session and the second I have a 200 point sanctioned DDM tournament.
That leaves the mornings where they would have to run along with a Star Wars Battleships and a SWM tournament respectively.
Thursdays in June are filled with sanctioned DDM tournaments and another Ladder League session.
That leaves Wedenesdays which I would rather play my D&D campaign on every week.
I can't think of any other options. | | | |
