Tales from the Chronicler April 29, 2008

Transititions

Grath, Cedrith and Beregon examine the contents of the Red Wizard of Thay's once locked chest in the
Wizards Stern cabin in the Slave Galley. Inside are trade bars, non-magical black vial, black leather bag,
masterwork dagger (+2), black leather bound journal, locked iron box, jewelled drinking cup and a coin
purse
. Beregon was busy with the identifying! Cedrith healed us to full and eliminated the vile
damage. After unlocking the chest - Grath set to work on unlocking the locked iron box . He gets
it and discovers 6 potions. (Please see treasures report for specifics of the looting! ) Grath takes
the bag of holding (black leather bag) and the coin purse (gold and gems). Beregon has tons of spells and
spell components from the late Wizards stores (among them stone skin). Cedrith has his pick of wands and
potions - lots of stuff to divide up! We looted! We now mourn our long since dead fallen companions!
- and now we attack!!!

Cedrith, Grath and Beregon clear the Slave Galley of all evil slave guards - the slaves are free!!! The ship
slave complement is 300 comprised mostly of: Orcs, Gnolls, Dwarves and Humans of roughly 2/3 evil
alignment - but - broken in spirit due to years of mistreatment, malnourishment and lack of sunlight
.
The sun and free flowing sea salt air is foriegn to them.

Our party rejoices at the finding of Jonath the rogue gnome of the late lady Requeim - Jonath was chained
between 2 Sembian Humans. Apparently they are of strange friendly fellowship - i guess they had fun at his
expense as Jonath's chains and bindings to the Sembian's did not allow him to fully stay seated while the
slaves rowed for the boat! The Sembian's know themselves only as #27 and # 28 - Jonath wasn't
wagered to last long enough to warrant a number!ÂChecking the black leather bound journal reveals some
of who which slaves are in name, origin (some cannot remember) and what belongings go to who.
ÂNumber 27
has no name still; but, the Great Axe we discovered is his ... we hand it over ... reluctantly ... he does
seem to be friendly still.  Number 28 is actually called ... Raphel
(apparently he like turtles).

Grath takes the helm of the ship as Captain and makes a general course South for the Pirate Isles and
Salty Pete
via Raven's Bluff which is 4-5 days sail away!

Stop monkeying around - thats my job!!!
