One creature in your warband (Your choice) gains snakebite [][] (swift; poison dmg added to an attack that hits; poison DC 18 ) and a different mini in your warband gains immune to poison (Your choice).
Lock, Shock and Barrel
200 pts.
One mini in your warband gains Construct Lock (on a roll of 19 or 20 against a construct enemy, that enemy skips its next activation), one different mini gains +5 electricity dmg with one of its attacks, and one mini's type is replaced with 'Type: Construct'.
Sunlight or Midnight
200 pts.
At the beginning of the game (after map initiative) you choose either sunlight or midnight. If you choose sunlight, your minis cannot end their movement besides a wall. If you choose midnight, you must end your movement besides a wall.

| D&D minis is always good. Perhaps some day Wizards will run out of Angelfire boosters. 
Perhaps a boardgame of some kind as well.
I've been thinking that we should get moving on that boardgame club we keep talking about. My proposal is we kick things off Fridays in September or October having 2 seperate parts running opposite weeks of each other.
The first would be the boardgame component featuring the Game Knight spotlight game of the month, Settler, Axis & Allies, Carcassonne, old classics, whatever we dig up. That kind of thing.
The second would be a collectable games component running on the following weeks. Once again perhaps featuring a game of the month from Game Knight focusing on things like Dreamblade, Pirates, Magic, Star Wars Minis, things like that. Games that don't get the focus or love the DDM gets.
The first session each month for both components would focus on demos for the game to those new to them as well as play later on. The second and should there be a thrid session that month would be for play of the feature game, perhaps a tournament for another. And at any time it would be open to other gaming for people looking for a place to play.
I'm thinking there would be some kind of yearly club dues, perhaps a discount for people only interested in one component of the club, to cover the purchasing of product and other expenses. Then depending on the game that week there could be an entry fee involved up to $5 to cover prize support if any. Club dues would entitle you to the "I played a game at Game Knight Games and Cool Stuff and all I got was this lousy t-shirt" t-shirt.
Let me know what you all think.

Phsycic Link - looks ok to me
Snakebite - looks ok to me
Lock, Shock and Barrel - looks too complicated
Sunlight or Midnight - some maps wouldn't have enough walls
Of the group I like the idea of Phsycic Link best.

| Six people out for minis yesterday. Coulda been worse, coulda been better. Jeff ended up winning, beating me in a close game. Stupid Thieves Quarter map. That makes two wins in a row for Jeff, can he make it three at league on Saturday? Come down to see for yourself.

| I remember looking all over for that little tidbit a few months back. Thanx for posting it, I'll have to write it down as a side note in my rulebook.
I'd assume also (and hopefully correctly) that this ruling would apply to invisible creatures as well.

| Yeah Tom's warband was over, he had a Wild Elf Warsinger in there as well. I talked to him late last night and told him so and he seemed pretty embarrassed about his error. He threw it together at the last minute. It makes me wonder if we should be writing up our warband sheets for sanctioned tournaments.
BTW since invisibility grants conceal I'm sure that that ruling would apply. | |
