I enjoyed seeing several friends and sharing the experience of opening those initial boosters together. I think that was the best part of the day. I did make a 3-for-3 trade with someone who I have only seen at prereleases. | |

We still have a sanctioning number for a 200 point event that we need to run efore the end of the next week. We can do it in the evenings or on Saturday. Does anyone want to play, and suggestions on when? | |

Could you please show me the link to the new ruling that all tournaments have to have a playoff after the Swiss rounds? It just seems like 7 rounds is overkill for a low level event like a pre-release. I can understand it for a qualifier, but not for something like this where we are deciding how to split 12 boosters. I was so relieved when everyone agreed to split it up evenly.
BTW, you did a great job running the event yesterday.

Steve showed me this. I think that who ever did the paperwork for the release event does not play DDM. They must be in magic mode where games last much shorter then each DDM match. If we played out every match and did not allow for the 4 way draw in the top, it would have been a much longer day.
I feel they should drop the top 4/8 rule except for qualifiers and up. | |

Ah, it wasn't on a web FAQ, but part of the bundle you get for hosting it. Does it have a specific title? I'd like to make a post about it on WotC's site and don't want to sound like a moron.

| We need at least 4 players. I can play tonight since I do not work, and have Tyson be the official judge. I can judge but not play Thursday, Friday or even Saturday. I work those days. So Corim, can you make tonight?
Oh, and we did start 12:00 because that was when we sat players and began handing out stuff. Players opened stuff later, since I had to get everyone their boosters, but that was still a 12 start. | |
