| | Hey Sean, or Shaunnon, are either of you planning on participating at DragonCon in the sealed format championship qualifier? I've never been to California, and GenCon would be cool out there. Forget stinky old Indiana. I don't need no stinkin' hoosiers or corn fields. | | | |

| By the way, I don't think I'd had a chance to brag about my Fane of Lolth battlemat yet. I printed out the 9 tiles from the web at the D&D Message boards, assembled them carefully and got it laminted. The whole thing cost $1.70. Heck, even I can afford that action.
It looks beautiful. I'm sure a full sheet version printed at Kinkos would have slightly better color and all, but mine is still nice, and it was only $1.70.
I tested it last night myself with two warbands. It was fun.

| | My plan is to attend DragonCon on Saturday, but that will depend on the actual gaming schedule, which I haven't seen yet. It would be cool to get a four day pass, but the goddess may not deem me worthy. | | | |

| G3, the Gwinnett Gamers Guild will be holding a DCI-sanctioned tournament on Saturday, August 27th. Registration is at 11:00 am. Cost is $2.00 with prize support. Format is 200 point Assault.
Edit: Oops, as Sean noted below, yes the next tournament is at The Gaming Pit in Duluth.

| | Hey Sean, do you think anyone would be interested in having a couple tournaments at the Atlanta Game Factory in Atlanta. It's fairly easy to get to and I'm probably going to scope it out this Saturday b/c I have to take Amanda down there to a studio to sing. | | | |

| | I'd play down there. But those tech boys are pretty smart. Maybe they'll spot me 10 points. | | | |

| Um... what tech boys? The last time I was down there to play DDM, it was only me and the guy I brought with me. This was the pattern for several weeks. I met one guy, once, who played DDM there, and he never showed again.

| One of our new members (another Sean) works and lives in the heart of Atlanta right near there. He's explained the situation at Atlanta Game Factory and it will be a couple weeks before AGF is in full swing. GA Tech has been out for the summer and the full term students resume their school year shortly.
I didn't make it down there yesterday afterall, Amanda's plans changed. Either way, I'm going to scope it out once the GA Tech school year resumes.

| Yea, there were people down there playing, but no one was playing DDM, and I was going on the DDM days, while Tech was in session. I hope it's changed... it's a great store, with great people. But it's just not worth it to me to drive down there on a Monday and not play anyone.

just saw the sealed DDM tournament info on the link above. $15 entry (not bad for two Angelfire boosters) starts at 1 pm on Saturday 9/3. First prize is $250 plus tickets to GenCon So Cal.

Yeah, $15 for two boosters, and I plan on being there for some other stuff, and just walking around for the early part of the day. I'm excited for DragonCon.

Hey cavedweller, thanks for hitting us up out here. The reason we started this thread and the Gwinnett Gamers Guild was b/c the only organized game for D&D Minis in Georgia was in Carrollton. I just gased up this morning for $2.59/gallon. Nuff said.

| who won the tournament yesterday?
Our ten year old football minis lost 28 - 0. As we were were shaking hands with the other team, I noticed that two of their boys had five o'clock shadows. Oh well, our boys fought hard, but it felt like we'd brought a 200 point warband to a 500 point skirmish![B)]

| Sorry man, Mark went 3-0 with his nasty ranged option. I went 1-2 for the first time ever. No worries, I just have accepted that I don't have the flavor to player LE competitively.
Give Timo my condolences about the loss. Nobody likes to get routed that badly, and especially at their age that sucks. Hope they got some ice creat afterward or something.

| Hmmm... Balor, Marut, Aspect of Kord, Half Fiend Ogre, Roper, and Rikka, I believe.
Btw, I'm trying to get skirmish play up and going at Gaming Pit on Fridays. I'll be there this weekend, but not the two Fridays around Thanksgiving. It seems to be a better environment for us to play, plus we'll have more space.

| Another great tournament yesterday, Aaron!
Who came out as the winner?
It would be cool to play in another limited tournament. Have you had much feedback on the idea?
I don't know if Jason would play limited. He's got this weird thing about pulling Slayer's of Domeil. [}:)]
