Minis Midnight Madness will happen tonight. So I will stay late and sell you your minis at 12:01 am. From 10 to midnight we can keep playing 100 point games, get a massive multiplayer game going, or something else.

| I'm sitting here at the tourny. I'm pretty sure Richard won. The Gorgon was fun, but didn't work out. Sadly this effects my standings as well. Now the only thing I'm good at is limited (according to the DCI standings). I'll find a way to claw my way out of this pit. | | Disipline is the only way to overcome chaos. | | I just realised something...that in the pre-realese Ice Troll pulled the Large Gold Dragon when standing in 1st...I pulled my Large Gold Dragon in one of the forst 3 boosters and when i was helping Beer Baron open boosters it was the 1st booster that picked had the Large Gold Dragon...so is that a packaging error or just coinkidink? | | SLIPKNOT-WAIT & BLEED SLIPKNOT-(SIC) | |

| With the trade I made with Garret and what I had before I pulled everything I needed to complete the set except a Greater Basilisk. Not too bad at all.
One of my cases had all 3 Dragons.
Up for trades I have a Raistlin Majere, Dire Tiger, Mind Flayer Lich, and Beserk Flesh Golem. As well as a Shield Guardian, Gorgon, and Thrall of BlackRazor from Unhallowed.
Let the trading begin. | | | |

| Well, I'm quite happy with my first case.
Heirophant of the Seventh Wind Wulfgar Aspect of Loviatar Dread Wraith Exarch of Tyranny Lady Vol Mind Flayer Lich Skeletal Courser Clawborn Scorrow Frost Giant Jarl (He's a biggun) Large Shadow Dragon Large White Dragon
Here's hoping the second case is as good. The only downside was that I only got one shadow.
Second case wasn't quite as good, but it wasn't bad either. Got two shadows in it.
Guardian Naga Large Gold Dragon Shadowbane Inquisitor Valiant Cavalry Dire Tiger Heirophant of the Seventh Wind Aspect of Loviatar Lifeleech Otyugh Berserk Flesh Golem Clawborn Scorrow Large Shadow Dragon
All in all, not too shabby. The only things I immediately have for trade would be the Heirophant of the Seventh Wind and the Aspect of Loviatar. Oh, and the second lady vol. Would likely part with the second clawborn scorrow as well.
Only five duplicates, and the shadow dragons are definitely keepers. I'm reasonably happy.

| Star Wars minis is at 10 AM, a standard 100 point event of 3 rounds. If you'd like to come and play and don't have minis yourself I'm sure someone will be happy to build and bring a warband for you.
The Night Below release event starts at 1 PM, come a little early though. It's a 3 round Sealed box event, same rules as the pre-release.

| | I'm having a lot trouble deciding on a warband....so I'd be glad to throw together a few and let someone else use whatever I don't.....I'm pretty indecisive sometimes, so I usually wait until the last minute to decide....I'm thinking Ewoks again, just for the sheer fun of it....but then again, I got some cool new pieces in my case, and an Imperial Squad might be good this time around......100 pts is so hard to make a good squad with..... | | | |

| My 4 cases Guardian Naga 2 (1 For trade) Large Gold Dragon 2 Shadowbane Inquisitor 3 (2 For trade) Valiant Cavalry 4 Raistlin Majere 1 Dire Tiger 3 Greater Basilisk 3 Hierophant of the Seven Winds 2 (1 For trade) Wulfgar 2 (1 For trade) Aspect of Loviatar 3 (2 For trade) Dread Wraith 2 Exarch of Tyranny 3 (2 For trade) Lady Vol 1 Mind Flayer Lich 1 Noble Salamander 3 Skeletal Courser 2 Lifeleech Otyugh 1 Berserk Flesh Golem 2 Clawborn Scorrow 1 Dracotaur Rager 1 Frost Giant Jarl 1 Large Shadow Dragon 1 Large White Dragon 2 Orc Banebreak Rider 2 (1 for trade)
Not a bad set of pulls though a few too many non-monsters for my RPG taste. The highlight of the opening was getting Lady Vol in the last pack to complete the set! :-) Trade wise I'd be interested in more Frost Giant, Dread Wraith and Flesh Golem (also any Babau and shadows i can get my hands on).

| A good tournament. My games were all very close, and winning close games is fun. Losing them isn't so much fun.
For Scott, regarding forest:
forest: (terrain) Forest squares are considered difficult terrain. Forest provides cover against ranged attacks. A creature in a forest square has cover against melee attacks unless the attacker is adjacent to a nonforest square in the creature's space. (Reminder: Melee Reach attacks count as ranged attacks for purposes of all cover rules, including these.) Line of sight (but not line of effect) is blocked if the line touches a corner of a forest square or 2 edges of the same forest square. A creature can still trace line of sight to creatures and squares in its own space as well as to adjacent creatures and squares.
Additional Forest clarifications:
Blindsight does not allow a creature to see through forest. The Blindsight glossary definition lists the things that it counters, and neither Forest terrain nor the effects of Forest terrain are among those things.
Against ranged attacks and Melee Reach attacks, a large or larger creature always gets cover from forest terrain when it's in at least one square of forest terrain.
Against non-Melee Reach melee attacks, a large or larger creature always gets cover when it is entirely in forest. However, a large or larger creature is only partially in forest gets cover only if the attacker isn't adjacent to a nonforest square in the creature's space.
If forest gives a creature cover versus all adjacent enemies' melee attacks, that creature can move without provoking AoOs, can make ranged attacks, and can cast non-touch spells even if it is threatened by those enemies.
Also, we need to look at dice down. I believe it's a horrible way of doing things as it is, but if you can get tile points without the round being over, that's beyond horrible.

| My games were all very close as well. I was wondering about the time limits we were given for each round. It felt like there was not enough time alloted. Were we doing 45 minute or 60 minute rounds? If we were doing 45 minute, is there a reason we aren't doing 60 minute?
Just wondering

| Thanks Richard. I had a feeling about the forest problem. That Shadow Dragon would've had to make moral iirc. Oh well, something to argue to someone else about down the line.
On another note :smacks head against desk: I can't catch a break in minis. I used to be good. Now I'm lucky to win once. | | Disipline is the only way to overcome chaos. That is for the World wide MTG day this Saturday July 14th. I'm not sure why it is addressed to me, but I did get an email from the DCI with a sanctioning number for that day too. I'm guessing it has to do with the demo I had scheduled for the day which is MTG. | | Champion of Champions (for all races! even Gnomes ) Reference Thread Winnipeg Gryphon Cavalry Forums
