| Posted By marcoco on 09/18/2007 11:42 AM I asked everyone once before if raising the price to put more into prizing Somehow I dont think this would change my collection much. It would just mean that the top 3 players will get to throw another rare into their trade bins, and i'll still get my Mithral Hall collector piece. Couldn't have said it better myself.

| Not sure how this would go over but one idea that poped in my head was to do some prizing kind of like the prize tickets for the monthly draws each night.
Rather than 3-0's getting the rares or at least first pick each win would equal 1 ticket. Each attending player gets 1 additional ticket. All tickets go into a hat at the end of the night and are drawn out one by one until everyone's name has been picked to form the order of choosing the tournaments prizes.
Players with more wins would have a higher chance of getting the top prizes but you could still go 0-3 and luck into the top prize.
Probably not a system the highly competative players would like but I thought I'd throw the idea out there.

Idzy - Reaper figs just showed up today. Warhammer stuff is now available also. Mind you it'll take 2 days to code it into the computer.

| | Looks like voting for the all stars will begin shortly. I have absolutely no preference for any Harbringer pieces as I don't own any. Is there any particular pieces you guys would like to see make it to the next round. I'd hate for my vote to go waste. | | | |

| It's going to be interesting to see what things will make the cut.
I don't think too much from Harbinger will make it, a lot of the minis have been redone recently or soon will be. I would tend to favor minis that either look cool or are iconic D&D classics.
From Harbinger I think the Drow Cleric of Lloth would have a good shot of making it as one of the new champions. The Human Blackguard, Umber Hulk, Bearded Devil, Elf Pyromancer, and Hound Archon have a chance of getting some good support.

I like this idea. I'd be willing to try it out on some of the non-sanctioned Saturday games to see how it goes over.

| Hello all,
November Schedule looks good to me.
As to Harbinger All Star Votes, I would be tempted to vote for many of those listed above. I think my list of 10 from Harbinger would likely be:
Cleric of Order Hound Archon Elf Pyromancer Drow Cleric of Lloth Human Blackguard Umber Hulk
After that, it is a toss up. I could agree with Barbed Devil, not sure about the rest.
Cheers

| | I'd be surprised if more than a couple Harbinger minis make the top 60 cut at this point, my guess is the majority of them will come from the Underdark to Blood War era. I think you have to go to Dragoneye to get the first lock in the Large Red Dragon. | | | |

What I like about this is that it doesnt discourage us to play with unfamiliar peices or set up wacky warbands that arent considered uber. You can still win even if you're just using a fun warband.

I wanted to come out but other things are starting to get in the way so I'm not sure if I'll be down. Considering I'm running D&D there tonight, demoing D&D there Friday, and running a DDM tournament on Saturdays myself things aren't looking good...

| Hello,
Kind of sad to only see 5 players out for Richard's epic tournament. There were no Tordeks or Bahamuts on the board at all. There were several Thralls of Blackrazor and Raistlins, however.
I ended up winning with a record of 2-1 (one was a bye). It ended up with 4 of us at 2-1, and one at 1-2. I ended up winning due to win percentages, and the fact I beat Paula which was the tie-break match basically.
My warband was:
Epic Large Gold Dragon Cleric of Syreth Couatl Arcane Ballista x2 War Weaver Sacred Watcher Warforged Scout Bat Familiar
Had the bye the first round.
Should have beaten Scott in my second match as I could do a great deal of damage to is Eldritch Giant, but my Ballista's missed twice (1s) and then my Large Gold Dragon missed three times in a row (with 1s and 2s). Bad dice.
Third game was not really close. I managed to limit the damage from Raistlin on my warband and then took out everything except for Raistlin and the Orc Wardrummer when time was called. Killing the epic Thrall with an Arcane Ballista meant no need for Thrall saves.
Cheers

| Hello,
Brain falling apart tonight.
Looks like I will not make the D&D demo on Friday night at all. Called in for work an hour early (well, answering machine message to that effect).
See people on Saturday for 200 point minis.
Cheers

| Sorry I couldn't make it down and put it to an even number. It sucks when other things get in the way of gaming fun. Also sorry to hear the ambusher sucks, not that I thought it was a good choice to begin with. Oh well.
At least I'm ready for a day of Delegate running around and prepared for my 5 demo's next month. If anyone's going to the Manitoba Comic and Sci-Fi Con I'll see you there Sunday as with some of the Game Knight crew I'll be demoing Star Wars and D&D minis and handing out whatever free swag they give me.
http://manitobacomiccon.com/
More delegate related running around this morning before I drop by for my D&D RPG demo tonight. Will those that show up take down the Large Blue Dragon or go through my stack of character sheets in the artempt?

| | There was actually only one Epic Raistlin, unless you count the one that I had to play against the bye person if they wished. I like to think my game against Chris during round 1 helped him prepare for his match in round 3 against Paula's band that was quite similar to mine. | |

Headed down to play a little Star Wars minis and run some DDM this afternoon. Have I made enough sense of the earlier pic to play Vader today..... I hope to see everyone down for some minis fun.

Anyways, I couldn't find a ride so I won't be coming out today. Thursdays aren't looking to good for me as school comes first. Have fun. | | Disipline is the only way to overcome chaos. | Hey all,
Hope everyone is well.
Good luck for league this coming week, as I will be away.
Can I also ask a favour of someone. I need one of you to post on my Sales thread over in the Marketplace forum. The dreaded lock out bug is hitting me again and I can't edit the thread for my new additions.
Thanks in advance.

So then we took it to the human society and we asked if we could take it home before the owner found it. So we have a HUGE dog now. | | SLIPKNOT-WAIT & BLEED SLIPKNOT-(SIC)

Anyway, a nice turnout for SWM yesterday. Bram, Joseph, Andy and his brother Mark, Garret, and myself in attendance with Bram's Boba Fett propelling him to 3-0.
Five people out to play some DDM, Scott, Garret, Chris L, Andy, and Richard who was the big winner.
All in all a fun day of minis at Game Knight.
