| | I don't know about everyone else, but I'd like to use tiles until we get more maps to choose from. As far as I know, we only have the Fane of Lolth available. Are there new ones that I can buy somewhere? | |

| | Do you think Game Den would be willing to chip in for a store set of maps? The best way I've found to print them is at Kinko's for about $3.50 each. I also wanted to bring in a sheet of the clear vinyl to use at the tournament this Saturday. I costs about $3 a yard, which is enough to cover two mats, and it lays down for a flat rolling surface and you can write on it with dry erase markers. Even if Game Den won't do anything, I'll just buy enough of the clear vinyl for at least 4 mats. | |

The other map is on the opposite side of the fane of Lloth map. Its a very open map. | |

Sorry, my parents are coming into town this weekend, so I won't be able to participate.
I'll just chime in with pilias, that the dual-sided maps that we got at GenCon are pretty sweet. I think I'm really going to like the change to playing on maps.

| | It is a little disconcerning to see how the players in our area have dropped. Seems like we only get enough people for official DCI play at the big release events and qualifiers these days. Hopefully we will get more new players in time, especially with the new rule changes coming. Anyway, I'm planning on being there Saturday with great hope of getting the chance to be schooled by some of the top players. i.e. Chattan, Todd, etc... | |

| So, how did the event go, spikegif? I heard there were four. Drakkengi, Todd, one of the two guys from the previous time (who also brought his son). Which guy was it? The one I did the large trade with?
Todd won with dwarves? What warband was he using? Was Drakkengi using the fire band? What did the two new players use? | |

| the other 2 players were new, one was the guy who you had a large trade with last time. He brought his son.
Drakkengi used his fire band, but had a blue in place of the raider. Of the other players 1 played an all dwarf band, and Marc played a CE band with a poison theme. | |

| I had been getting things squared away with my new teaching job. We started last Wednesday, and I am having a blast. I figured Saturday how to request sanctioning on-line (Rob had been filling out and faxing papers), which should make handling events much easier.
I have also been cleaning up some of the tournaments. Somehow we ended up with a pile of duplicate events (mostly SWM). The ones being cancelled should be done by mid-week (these must be faxed to WOTC). This will keep us ablle to sanction more events.
I did set up a 200 PT for 9/24, and saw it has been scheduled. If attendance picks back up and player demand is there for it, we could get sanctioned events mid-week. I'd just need to know a few days in advance so I can send in the request before the event. | |

| Steve figured out how to request events sameday so we do not have to wait until Rob gets to it. It also gives us some leway on what events we play and when. Just wanted to get some feel on what people would like to play.

If we use maps, we much have maps for everyone to use the same map (or are you wanting to use the new rules for next year?) So far the only map that we all have or can be provided to all in the Lost Temple map.
I know a few of us have some. If we get enough maps, I sure we would be able to play on them. | |
