| | That was fun. Thanks to the dms that took the time to run games, and especially Chris, who ran the group that I played in. Not only did he DM, he did it while his two unopened cases of Desert of Desolation Minis were sitting on the table behind him taunting him. | |

| Indeed, Game Day was a lot of fun even though I was only able to come out and run one session at 4. Hopefully next year I'll be able to have the whole day to run and play.
Thanks again to Scott and the rest of the Game Knight crew for running another great event.
And some props should go out for Wizards for the nice giveaways this year and a well designed adventure.

| Hello all,
Nice to see so many people out for Worldwide D&D Gameday. I think we had roughly 20 people out, with about half of them being new people.
I ended up running the gameday adventure twice and playing it once. Did not manage to kill off any PCs. Darn!
As Mike has indicated, a good introductory adventure for the players. Not too hard to get through, but still challenging overall.
Cheers

| Hello,
Eventually did open up my cases of Desert of Desolation. Still missing 5 rares and wanting a few more commons and uncommons (which should come easily in sealed games, etc.).
So, for those with minis to trade I am looking for:
Macetail Behemoth, Gelatinous Cube, Manticore Sniper, Bar-Lgura, Feral Troll
I have a bunch of older minis to trade, and from this set I can provide people with:
Angel of Vengeance, Capricious Copper Dragon, Nightmare, Blade Spider, Rage Drake
For full details, see my Have/Want list.
Cheers

| There you go, updated League standings. Spare time is a beautiful thing.
Two more sessions to go, still plenty of time for everyone to make a move to the top and claims some sweet sweet prizes.

| Friday is casual play minis!
Who's coming down to Game Knight to hang out and play DDM, Pirates, or another of their favorite games?
Some of us will be discussing the new Star Wars campaign, perhaps it might be a good opertunity to play some SWM. Andy, are you still out there?

| Hey, I'm still here....I've been eavesdropping on this thread the whole time....I love the idea of casual minis play in the evenings, but unfortunately, I always work Friday evenings and Saturdays at 12 noon...
I'm going to try to arrange my schedule so that I have at least 1 Saturday off a month....oh yeah, and I will am definitely coming to the Force Unleashed release event next weekend (I booked it off weeks ago!).

| I just put in sanctioning requests today - oops my bad. I've just been too busy and let it slip. However, although I thought sanctioning a game for tonight today would be rejected, it accepted them and sent me the numbers.
The only thing that didn't get approved was a DreamBlade edge for Nov 22. I did sanction it as a regular tourney. Now lets just see if we can get it to run.

| Hello all,
Just home from work and feeling a bit ill. Not likely to make it out tonight, but good luck to those who are.
I will have to save my new warband ideas for later.

| 6 people out last night (Matt, Richard, Jory, Ryan, Gabe & Norm). Matt had to leave after the first game so I played in his spot for rounds 2 & 3, went 3-0 and nabbed him a Manticore. The last game with Norm came down to 1 initiative roll, with both of our FGFP's flanked by each others FGFP/other heavy hitter. Both had only 10 hp and 15 hp left. So who-ever got initiative was going to win, provided they rolled no 1's. I got it and it went as predicted. But a very close game none-the-less.
We did a booster draft, and I added some card sleeves, 9 pocket pages, and a map to the prize draft to make up for no new retailer kits. Matt & gabe's prizes are here set aside & waiting.
Prize "Squad Boxes" from WOTC showed up today for the SWM release event. They basically look like the demo boxes you've seen already, but with cooler SW graphics.
Tomorrow is SWM 200 points at 10 am, and DDM epic at 1pm. | | "GameKnight Games and Cool Stuff Winnipeg's source for RPGs and minis!" www.gameknight.ca

| Woohoo. Free boxes.
Sadly I won't be out for any mnis tomorrow but I'll be down in a bit tonight to hang out, work on Star Wars characters and perhaps play a game or two. I'm bringing down Inn Fighting and some Star Wars warbands.
Have a gooder. | | | |

| | Just saw the price increase for the Force Unleashed tourney on the GK website....I realize that this is probably to reflect the higher costs of the boosters, and I'm okay with the price, but may I ask what the prize structure will be? Will it be the same as for the last tournament? | | | |
