I was just going by what Scott had said on Saturday. I see by looking at the Gameknight page that it is supposed to be a 100pt Grab Bag event.
That makes it a 100 pt skirmish either way I think, so not too much of a difference. I guess I will plan for both.

I thought i'd drop a line and say hello. We know i only do this around "New Set Time" since i'm anti-social. Let me know if and when you guys are getting together to trade after release date (Gameknight Saturday or whatever). I'm getting excited since i've almost convinced myself the 7th case would be worth it this time around! [:D]

I have not sent to Australia, but I have sent to Singapore, the UK, and Yugoslavia. All of those packages were around $6.00 (depending on weight), so I owuld imagine Australia would be similar.

You should really come out to the Pre-release to mix and pick up a few of the new figures. As for trading. I imagin we will do something, but nothing detailed as of yet. I expect that we will make plans either tonight at Gameknight for skirmishing or on Saturday before or after the Pre-release.

We actually have plenty of people who do close to that. Does not make it right, but it happens.
Come on out for the first two or three rounds (means you'll be ther from roughly 10:30 - 14:00), then you can bow out and do your game prep.

I appreciate the offer but i think the time will be too tight since we're playing Halo late tonight. If it wasn't a D&D night i'd be in like flint since i would like to get one of those pre-release air elementals.

Well I can be a little bit evil at times.
You missed a great day. The competition was friendly, but intense. The minis look pretty good in my opinion. I have seen every rare now, and I don't think I would rate any of them less than a 8 in terms of looks up close. Skirmish and RPG utility may vary things slightly, but not by much.
Hope to see lots of people out on Thursday and the case opening on Friday (time TBA).

Sounds like it was a great tournament. I'm a little jealous that you guys got to see all the minis already but we did end up playing Halo until 3:30 so i didn't get up until after 12pm. How many people did you get out?

Yeah, the tournament was great fun, even if I did go 1-3 overall.

Yeah, we can only hope that more people come out on Thursday evenings. It would be nice to see a few new faces, expecially with the skill level we saw at hte Pre-release. I would lose a few more games, but in the long run it would help my game a bunch I would expect.

Galaxy's tournaments have kinda died afaik. I was going for several weeks, and I was the only one there. They started doing alternate weekends of DDM and SWM. I'll probably end up stopping in this sometime in the next little while just to see what's up. I haven't been for a few weeks between father's day, july long weekend, and being sick. | |

Gameknight's been on a streak of odd formats, although we (I?) keep trying to convince them to play nice normal 200 pt tournaments. [:)]
I think this thursday is supposed to be Elemental Night. 40% of your warband (100 pts?) has to be elementals. | |

| Hey guys, it is mark from GameKnight. As of last week. all formats are 200 points from now on unless we have specific. This week will be a regular 200 point skirmish just to get things going again. The last two sets are geard more for 200pts any way.

| Sorry to sound completely retarded but is that "exploding" figs a joke? I absolutely cannot do a 40% elemental band, for I have no elementals, and just want to make sure it's a simple 200pt warband tourny.
Is Drider banned? I haven't really heard where that went and if it's in effect and whatnot. Is so, /cry, I don't know how I'll be able to win, I mean that means I'm down to what... SKILL?
Just kidding of course, I just gotta get me a ZWD is he is I suppose. Maybe I'll crack open a mounted pally and trade him for an arm and a leg...

| Hello,
Let's see if I can answer some of thse questions:
1) Gameknight skirmishes on Thursdays start at 7:00 PM.
2) Exploding figures mean that when your minis are reduced to 0 hp they "explode" for level x 5pts of damage to all surrounding minis (directly adjacent).
3) The Drider is banned for all official tournament play (DCI/WOTC sanctioned tournaments, etc.). I donlt think we have ever dealt with the issue at a skirmish at Gameknight, but using one would be against the current spirit of play in my opinion.
4) As for release of Angelfire. The latest I heard was a Friday evening meet up. Scott and Mark were not up to staying open after midnight when we talked about things at the Pre-release. I know I am OK with around a 6:00 - 7:00 meet up on Friday to pop cases and trade.
