| Hello,
Well, I can't make the 200 pt sanctioned game due to work, but team night should be interesting.
So who can I end up being teamed with?
Who will be out?
Cheers

| Drat, I couldn't make it out on time tonight. My supper was late so I couldn't have made it in time for 6:30. I guess it's o.k. though. I never really liked 500 pts. and never was very good at it. On a less selfish note, it gives other people the chance to find out what it's like to win Team Night. It's different winning with a team member.
Who won? With what? (At least one warband, please) Who all showed up? (And who was teamed up with who? If you can remeber) I hope Scott got to play. | | Disipline is the only way to overcome chaos. | I'm so in for alternate scarab paints.
Rob, are you coming for Dreamblade tomorrow? I probably shoulda asked this sooner, since I was planning my warband around the 2nd virtuous maiden you were willing to trade for my other eater of hope.

| DDM league stuff...
It seems there's at least enough interest to put it on the schedule. I was thinking once a month, the last Thursday of every month starting in January. Scott was thinking of doubling up, going the second and fourth Thursdays.
Which option do you prefer, once or twice a month? Would one Thursday and one Saturday a month be better?
For that matter let's get a quick show of hands of who would be interested in playing in an in house Game Knight DDM leage and who isn't interested/unable to play in it.
There are 2 formats being proposed. The Eternal Campaign or some variant there of which I know nothing about and the sealed variant that's a take on the Wizard's internal league they ran back during Underdark.
I'd be good to run the version I proposed but if people prefer the EC someone else would have to take the reins.
Which option does everyone prefer?
To refresh your memory the way I was going to play it is as follows:
On the first league night players purchace 2 boosters of their choice to form their initial league pool. New players can join at any time by buying 2 boosters on a league night.
All boosters are to be opened in front of the league manager or a Gamer Knight employee and their contents tracked on a league warband pool form.
At all times players will keep a warband pool of 16 miniatures to build their warbands with using the standard sealed format warband rules.
Players will have the opertunity to add new miniatures to their pool each league night with the option to buy a new single booster. They have the option to add anywhere from 0-8 of their new minis to the pool but for each mini they add one must be removed to keep the total pool at 16. Once a mini is removed from the pool or not added it is gone from play for good.
One thought I had was each player would register one map at the start of the league and that would be your map for the entire league. Essentially it would be your home stadium. Also it would be first come first serve on the maps, no more than one copy of any given map will be used.
Games would be 200 point skirmishes and semi casual, we'd play as many rounds as can be fit in the evening. If people finish their games early rather than waiting for rounds to end they could start another game.
If it's feasable I was thinking we'd do a nightly booster draft as a prize. The twist would be any mini you do take must be added to your league pool and another removed.
Anyhoo..... that's what I was thinking in general. What are your thoughts.

| I don't think the EC is that great an idea really. People would need to know how they're going to level up in advance, otherwise things would get bogged down in between rounds.
I'd be willing to consider playing league, although I prefer regular tournaments. Except when games are ended right before I get to finish my activations.

| EC would also give an unfair advantage to those who could play every league session as opposed to those who might have to miss a couple. At least as far as I understand it.
My thought to make it a little more casual was to allow games to be played to their conclusion, allow people who haven't played against each other in a while to face off without worrying about how the computer or their records match them up, or even to settle the arguement of it would have been a totaly different game if we played on my map. You could go ahead and play again right there on the other person's map.

I might be interested in an eternal campaign type of thing. Of course my opinion might not be as important as the rest of you guys. I'll come to a tourny sooner or later.

I think it can have it's place to get a tournament moving in the case where playing out the rest of a round wouldn't change the outcome. If playing the last few activations could swing things one way or another the round will be finished.

| Six people of for D&D minis today. Scott, Barry, Bob, Norman, Tyler, and Kyle.
Scott was the big winner going 3-0. It was Barry's first tournament out and it's always good to see some new blood out to play.

| I won't be out tonight for minis. Too many things to take care of before Christmas.
As for Friday night I won't be out for Dreamblade as my brother will be in town by then. I supose if he has no other plans we might drop in and play some Dreamblade if he's interested.

| I'll be wandering down in a bit to play some dreamblade hopefully. Scott said that Chris at least would be around, so if the store ain't busy it might be just us, but maybe Paula and Kerry will be there too who knows.
Six people out last night for 100 pts of fun. Me, Chris, Jory, Jay, Tom, and another newer guy whose name I can't remember.
I played a tiefling captain, orc wardrummer, and six quaggoth slaves. Jory played 5 quaggoths and 3 howling orcs. We played each other in round 2 and there were 11 quaggoths on the board.

| It was a good turnout for this saturday. Norm (Not Isondaho), Chris V, three new guys (new to me), one of the guys who plays A&A, and I were there. Sorry I can't remember their names. I ended up winning the grab bag surprise day with a warband consisting of Aspect of Hextor, Maug, Chain Devil, Cleric of Nerull, Acheron Goblin, and my 5 grab bag surprise commons (Nothing special). My game against Chris was quite close. One more round and I probably would have lost. DR is a b&$# when you don't have magic dmg. I got a Horned Devil for my prize. | | Disipline is the only way to overcome chaos.
