| I've said it many tmes, I'll say it again. Personally and financially, I feel the re-creation of a Displacer Beast is a travesty (sp?). I spent a lot of money on being able to get one. I was keeping mine for when I felt I wanted to leave D&D and be able to try to break even. Now that the new D-beast is made, I'll be lucky to get $15 for mine. Seeing how this is going, we are going to get an Umber Hulk soon as well and it'll probably be uncommon too with my luck. I sometimes wonder why I bought some of those Harbinger minis. It's not even going to do good in skirmish. If it has human foe (+5 dmg) and hunter (+5 dmg) and has the possibility to do 20 dmg with one attack, it's base dmg is 10 (Non magic probably).

| That's a quality classic D&D preview right there. Nice to see they're listening to the fans on what we want.
The Displacer beast looks awesome.
As for the value of your older figures Shadowlord they'll likely drop a little bit but considering the ratrity of some of them they'll still be worth a fair bit. No need to push the panic button yet. | | | |

| Last night Richard won with his EPIC Solar. He won a Thundertusk Cavalry for his troubles. Note for other players, EPIC Horned Devil is not for competative play.

| alright so other than the mike man who is coming out to dreamblade tonight. the schedule is now up on the website for january and february but not necessarily in that order, you know how drunk the boss gets.
post on here if you can acquire an internet connection to be on maxminis before you head down. i know that rob most likely won't be here tonight as he was out of town, and nico won't be here because he is still out of town. just post and let me know. | |

| | Well Shadowlord, after having a look at that abomination they are calling a displacer beast I think your harbinger one can only go up in value. The harbinger one at least looks like a displacer beast, I'm not sure what they were smoking when they designed the new one but its definately not sleek and its not blue the way it should be either. They should have called it a dire displacer beast and added some bone shards sticking out then it might be ok. | |

| Hey Beer Baron, I just came up with a weird tourny theme senario.
War games
200 points
Regular skirmish rules (Initiative, warbands, ect.)
Victory : When either the opposing warband is slain or 3 'goals' are scored.
Set-up: Normal set-up rules. A skull token is placed in the intersection of the four center squares (Or nearest legal squares).
Special Rules: The goal of the game is to have the skull token placed in one of your exit squares 3 times. There is only one token.
A mini replaces attacks to pick up the skull token. It may use melee reach to pick up the skull. The mini holding the skull must be standing on at least one exit square to score a goal. Creatures may attack while holding the skull, but lose 1 attack for holding it.
Incorporeal or burrowing creatures must make a DC 17 save at the end of their activation or drop the skull. We can't have them running through walls and winning the game in 4 rounds.
When a skull is scored, it reappears immediatly in the center of the map where it started. If the creature holding the skull routs, it immediatly drops the skull before running away. If the creature holding the skull is eliminated it drops the skull. When the skull is dropped, it is put in the square of the controller of the mini that dropped it. The controller chooses the square if there are multiple squares to choose from.
That's about it. I'm not sure whether to increase the number of goals to win or whether or not to have you run the skull to the opposing exit squares.

| 9 people out for minis tonight. Richard, Norm, Jory, Chris L, Chris V, David, Tom, Jay, and myself. I ended up going 3-0 beating David, Norm and Richard in three close games with my low activations Fire Giant Forgepriest, Redspawn Firebelcher x2, and Hobgoblin Talon of Tiamat warband.
Pulled a Kolayrut in my prize booster. All in all a nice night of minis.
