| Just what kind of deal are we talking about?
Most KFC I've had of late has been awful. It's either raw in the middle and the entrie day after you feel like crap. I don't think I've tried his location though.

| Hey all,
Sounds like I missed a good session last week. Keep those stories coming so that I can judge them.
Sorry that I did not psot sooner, when I was out of town I ended up with no internet access (when I thought that I would have it) and then the weekend was really busy after I got back.
I do have notes to post for Beregon, so I will try to do that this evening or tomorrow so that everyone can see it.
As to food. I have to admit that fried chicken is not my favourite. That, and I have had so much Thanksgiving chicken and turkey over the past two weeks that I am a bit overloaded. If I had to choose I would go with subs or pizza again, but majority rules I suppose.
Let me know what we are planning.
Cheers

| Mabye, we will meet him at Salty Petes friends house already for us to escort him. I will tell Beregon that I slaughtered a party of little evil chicken eating people to save a poor mans chicken. We managed to save 9 outa 21.
Thats all the time I have to post. I've been busy this week and have had no time so there it is in a nutshell. | | SLIPKNOT-WAIT & BLEED SLIPKNOT-(SIC)

After returning the recovered chickens to the farmer and escorting him back to town to replace the rest, we went to see if Beregon was feeling any better, and he was so we gathered some more supplies and headed to Wyvenspur. | I'm thinking chicken might not be right for our group considering 2 people don't like it.
I'd be good for Quiznos again, any thoughts?

I like the look of the female thief and the dragonrider could be fun to paint.
And it just occured to me that the male thief would have made a good pre-goblin Lanister what with the scimitar and everything.

| Excerpts from a conversation with Bigwin to Beregon:
Ah...Beregon, it is good to see you with some colour in your face. Have I got some stories to tell you. It all started on the road to Wyvernspur. That is where Salty Pete sent us to get his friend, our soon to be quarter master. Well, we came across a distraught farmer.
He claimed dogs came and stole his chickens. So we went to investigate. I thought maybe he was exagerating or something. But there were tracks there, small ones sure, but definitely not dogs. So we decided to help the guy and see if we could get his chickens back. I tracked the creatures to some crumbled stone ruins. We found the tracks then went underground. So down we went. Tharnog went ahead, and set off some kind of trap with arrows. Then Grath tried to stop it and it proved kinda difficult. Then Tweeter went a bit crazy down there nad he and Tharnaog don't like each other.
Oh, and I have to tell you about Tweeter. Tweeter is my Hawk spirit guide. I suppose you could call him a familiar. I prayed to the great spirits for guidance and they sent me Tweeter. As always the shaman was right, the hawk shall be my guide. But Tharnog hates him and wants to attack him. I like the dwarf, but if he doesn't leave Tweeter alone, I'll get really really angry. And you know what that's like. Maybe you could talk to him and tell him to back off. The spirits sent him to guide me. I don't know how these uncivilized dwarfs can refute and taunt gift from the great spirits.
Anyways, we got third door open, and there were rooms beyond. We could smell cooking chicken beyond, and followed it there. I opened a door and there were all these little lizard thingys, and they were shooting us. We fought then and they retreated to another room. I tried to make them surrender the chickens, but some of them ran and some of them fought us. I fought back at them, then I thought about using my magic. You should have seen it! I burst through thte door and made the flames appear. I could feel it! And it went right where I wanted it to. It was exciting, but a bit scary. What if I have trouble controling it next time? What if I can't make it stop?
Anyway, we beat down the rest of the lizards and got back 9 chickens, and 2 were cooking so we didn't put them to waste. We found some money, and some other stuff. I have this necklace their leader was wearing, made of chicken bones, and I can feel the magic in it. Do you think you can figure it out, like what it does?
So we left there, and got the chickens back to the farmer. We gave him coppers enough to replace the chickens he had lost, and he seemed happy. We defeated the lizards. Is there many of those things in this land? What were they? I didn't know we'd be helping every poor person that came our way, but it did feel good none the less. I know he was too poor to offer us a reward, but in the end we found some stuff we could use. I wonder what that lizard leader did with this? Here, take a look at this necklace...what do you think......

| So many options.....
Let's decide now. 1 man 1 vote. These are the options:
1) Pizza 2) Scott's KFC deal 3) Chinese or 4) Quiznos
I vote for option 4. DM likey Sandwiches.
You can always go for a Quiznos pizza too.
http://www.quiznos.ca/e/menu-pizza.shtml
I think I have to go with this one again if we do Quiznos...
Chicken Carbonara with Bacon All-white-meat chicken strips, mozzarella cheese, bacon, mushrooms, Parmesan Alfredo Sauce with bacon and spices.
When bacon is part of the sauce you know you're dealing with princes among men as far as sandwich artisans go.

| I'm going to vote for #2. If we don't have chicken now, I may never know what my chicken bone necklace does.
And it's possible if we all eat something different (gasp! - dissension in the ranks!)
Oh, and the Old Glory ship arrived today. It's pretty cool, but it will be a lot of work to get ship shape. I think at least 2 nights if we all pitch in to help to get it sanded, filed, putty'd, primed, painted, and coated.
And I found another ship we can use while Salty Pete's is in dry dock. I comes with a dashing pirate in a big hat, a knife fighting rogue, a fair maiden in the crows nest, a squat tubby quartermaster, and a multi-limbed seamonster. Fully painted and assembled, it is here now as well. But as envious as you may be, I'm keeping that one for myself! | | "GameKnight Games and Cool Stuff Winnipeg's source for RPGs and minis!" www.gameknight.ca

My vote is for #4 Quiznos again; but, I'll probably do the Prime Rib and pepercorn. Although the party that dines together ... so I will go with the majority. Mind you there is nothing wrong with having a fend for yourself night too.
Sounds like an awesome ship Scott, maybe Salty Pete might be a little envious. Can't wait to start assembling guys. | | Stop monkeying around - thats my job!!!

| Tales from the Chronicler Oct. 3rd Night 3
Final Trapped Chest, A Water Hazard and a Blue Tease Part II
Tharnog was lowered down the water hole with an 50 ft rope tied around his waist. Holding his breathe and feeling around in the murky water along a wall and falls through a hole. The Dwarf comes back due to a short rope and returns with an 80 ft rope to find an underwater airpocket. An eriee blue glow comes from what appears to be an altar at the far end of the cavern.
The 5th day ends as night falls and the Party rests. The wizard and the cleric take 1st watch and nothing happens. The rogue and barbarian take 2nd watch. As the Hadozee is busy scratching his green fur all night; Migwin hears ... crashing trees and rumbling earth sounds. 3rd watch and the jug blowing Dwarf notices nothing but his tooting. Next morning of the 6th day the party ventures out to discover .... dead Bullywugs and Orcs ... burned to death it appears with rending damage from ... 3 large claws. The Party collects spears and armour along with small amounts of copper and sacks which seemed to have ... loot. The Party ponders what could have happened the previous day ... something BIG ... with CLAWS .... ACID DAMAGE and likes treasure ....mmmmhhhh
The next 1/2 day of the 6th day is spent with Migwin watching over the watering hole as the rest of the party dives below to the mysterious altar. Upon surfacing the Altar like object does not glow blue at all. Tharnog sees and grabs a pole-arm lying upon the altar. The chamber is a 15 ft square room with running water from a hole in the ceiling - but the water level does not seem to change. The Altar is a pedistal of Cormyr, with a Purple Dragon Symbol on it. Tal determines that the pole-arm is magical (+1) and glows blue in the presence of (1 mile) .... DRAGONS!!!! Stop wondering I guess ... and start shaking something awefull.
The Party decides to head home even though there is 1/2 a day left till night. The thought is that the Dragons territory is strictly the swamp which is just 1/2 a day. Migwin tracks the Bullywug's and the Orc's ... which seem to have come from the same direction as ... the way home ... just bloody perfect!!!! We flee ... quickly to fight another day! The Party is relieved to clear the decaying swamp and make head way into decent tree cover and decide to rest for the night. Grath and Tal take 1st watch which is uneventfull. Shortly into Migwin and Cedrith's 2nd shift ... 30 min....the Bec de Corbin glows BLUE ... DRAGON!!! The Party awakens (except Tal)... doses the camp fire, hides the bright blue Corbin thingy ... hold breath as everyone hides ..... ..... ...... ...... ....... Migwin hears .... death throes to the East from some BIG BEAST!!! Yet ... nothing comes ... and yet the Bec de Corbin still glows The Party returns to slumber .... uneasily .... Tharnog notices that the Bec stops glowing during his watch.
Continuing on the next morning we seem Scott clear of the dreaded thing .... Yeah!!! Our wizard seems to mirror the Hadozee's greenish hue as the trip takes us to noon of the 8th day. Wait .... the damn Bec de Corbin is aglow again. The Monkey hides in a shrubbery, Tharnog just ... toots his damn jug waiting for ...? What yonder cart from the East comes from the Horizon. The driver says no Dragons are in these parts ... despite Cedrith's and Tal's warning to the contrary....and the Bec de Corbin continues to glow, as the scared Hadozee trembles in this show!!! Cedrith insists that we escort the farmer for his protection so we head to his farm. The Party is treated to supper and to stay over night in the barn. Tal/Hadozee take 1st watch and ... no Dragon. Migwin and Cedrith take 2nd shift and ... no Dragon (why does the damn Corbin still glow blue???) The 3rd shift is taken by the solitary Dwarf ... who ... sounds his jug in alarm ....??? The little girl scares the crap out of the Hadozee ... who did not jump out of his skin to attack her despite that damn Bec de Corbin ... (which stops glowing ... great joke har de har har)
The Party has breakfast with the farmer in the Morning and caution him one last time about being wary of possible Dragon attack ... he seems skepitical ... which now the Hadozee seems now too ... Bec de what? Glows red you say when there are pirates nearby ... big deal!!! On the Road again the Party nears town earlier than the 10 day time limit.
They approach the Blushing Mermaid Pub from just outside the city and ... the Hadozee jumps with fear as the DAMN BEC DE CORBIN GLOWS SUPER NOVA BLUE again ... why O why O might DM do you taunt us??? WHY??? As we enter Marsember ...WHEW ... we tell the patrols about the possible dragon. They will advise the March Captain. Heading to the Pub we inquire as to Salty Pete's whereabouts ... who happens to be at Pier 17 on a Cog with Blue sails called Blue Hippocampus. Mustaffa lets us onboard and we find Salty Pete at a desk with a map. Elated to see us and the compass he reckons that we indeed did meet up to his high standards as he thought.
Lodgings are on Salty Pete for we sail in 2 days!!! Tal looks positively ... pre-sea-sick??? Off to bed with thee wizard ... Mom awaits you! | | Stop monkeying around - thats my job!!!

| OK,
One more post from me. Since I have to vote on descriptions ...
My overall vote for recounting of our total adventures is split. I really can't decide between Rob and Nico's version. Both seem to encapsulate their characters quite well and are complete as well.
As to the story about the chicken bones, et al, I think I have to give that one to Scott. Scott, Nico and Rob all were in the running, but Big Mig's combination of barbarian syntax and side tracks in his story just kind of gave me the atmosphere on that story.
I as hoping to write up something myself, but too busy at the moment. Oh well, I am sure I can get more XP later.
Cheers

| Tales from the Chronicler Oct. 10 Night 4
Chicken Flew the Coop???
Since Lodgings are on Salty Pete the gang decides to begin with a round and a toast to NO DRAGONS, a successfull plundered dungeon and gainfull new employment. They meet at the Blushing Mermaid Pub minus one sick Wizard who has ... "Filth Fever". Although the Hadozee is still a bit green and itchy too, maybe he has it also ... but he is up for a game of ...INN-FIGHTING! Strangely enough as our party begins to deal out the cards, dice, ...chairs? weapons? What kind of crazy game is this ... and Why are some people leaving the Pub, ducking behind the Bar, is the bartender calling for the Night Watch ... Oh Well??? On with the game - who is this strange DM dude crashing our game ... Oh Sorry ... Your Deck ... Your rules!!! After a few Ales, broken chairs, bruised knuckles ... Cedrith the Cleric is the Champion Standing Hic @#$! We want another go says everyone - except the disgruntled Tharnog. Have at thee again! Hic! Tharnog and Grath exchange several damaging blows with chairs and such ... this strange DM dude is sneaking up with points ... Migwin downs more Ale and ... Ouch ... Watch IT! .... Revenge!!! Cedrith the Cleric is Champion Standing yet Again and the bar is trashed and all are ...HIC!
Next day we recover ... separately ... painfully ... except for the Cleric ... must be some magic? Before striking out Cedrith (only sober one) dishes out the goods. He had an early start to his day by liquidating the Party treasure. He gave Migwin materials necessary to summon his Familar before he headed out of town early this morning. He had an Ivory Rod identified for the Wizard as being a wand of Shocking Grasp with 24 charges. The rogue got the magical dagger and the dwarf kept the cursed Bec de Corbin (good riddance kinda). Cedrith kept the leather boots for himself and dolled out coinage for everyone equally. As Cedrith continued with his errands; the Hadozee wanders Marsember; the Dwarf practices his Jug; Migwin communes with Nature naturally and Tal is recovering from filth fever with dear old Mom.
Noon comes and Salty Pete calls everyone back to the Blushing Mermaid Pub, he has a job for us! Migwin cannot be found and Tal is indisposed for another 2 days. Salty Pete needs the Best QuarterMaster in all the land - Percy is his name - and the Party is to escort him back from Wyeernspur. Salty Pete will provide all the provisions (10 days) for their long trip and the ship will delay its' voyage until the Party returns.
3 days out to Wyeernspur a lone frantic farmer screams bloody murder as our party passes by on a road one morning. His chickens are all gone from the Coop - will you help me? Cedrith agrees to help out - the Hadozee grumbles - Cedrith says only a couple of hours? Cedrith finds ... a busted chicken coop door ... what more ... mmmmhhhh.
Migwin rejoined us with his new Hawk Familar that Tharnog seems to have issues with the Bird. Tharnog hits the Hawk, Migwin hits Tharnog who hits back, "YOur stupid, no your stupid???" The Hadozee searches for clues ... nothing ... Migwin finds ... tracks... heading ... East to the Hills. The Party sets out in search ... Migwin is scouting ahead while his Hawk flys above. The tracks do not seem to be those of Dogs, Foxes or Wolves. Close to the hills a lone hole is found that the Hodozee searches .... sniff ... sniff. Smells like ... roast chicken??? Lots of chicken bones are found outside the 6 ft hole leading 15 ft east into the hill.
The Dwarf leads the way followed by the Hadozee, the Barbarian and then the Cleric. The Hawk (Tweeter) sitting on the Hadozees shoulder flys past the Dwarf after Tharnog triggers a trap in the next room. Arrows barley miss him from the North. The Hadozee searches for traps and rolls into the room ... no arrows. The wall and door seem not to be trapped. The smart Hawk squaks at the holes in the door where the arrows seem to be coming from. Tharnog swats at THE BIRD he calls it, ... Oh ... Hi ... Migwin glaring at the Dwarf ... how long you been there? Hadozee triggers the trap again but everyone dodges narrowly. Picking the lock Nat 1 Lock Picks snap in half - Ouch. Tharnog breaks open the door to the North to reveal ...a room with firewood and chest in opposite corners ... plus a door. Migwin decides to listen to the South door...hears nothing. And he cannot budge the door either ... feels solid. The Hadozee determines that the chest, door and firewood are not trapped. He finds a smashed crossbow device behind the forced/smashed door. Cedrith searches the chest after Tharnog cracks it open. In among the old old old robes is ... old magical 50 page book however only the first page is readable (not deciphered) other pages are ruined. Grath finds that the firewood/twigs are recent or fresh kindling. Migwin forces the door to the East.
A Big room with firepit, roasting chickens and ... 10 Kobolds. Migwin is hit by a volley of arrows. Migwin tries to intimidate the Kobolds, "GIVE US THE CHICKENS!!!" One races out the South exit from Migwin as Tharnog steps in to kill a Kobold. The Rogue tumbles in to kill a Kobold. The Dwarf and the Barbarian start finishing off the Kobolds in quick order. Migwin intimidates 2 more Kobolds through the South exit as he shouts, "GIVE US THE CHICKENS!!!!" Migwin boots in the South door slammed in his face shouting "CHICKEN!!!!" immediately getting another volley of arrows to the chest. Cedrith unleashes healing magic into Migwin for the second time to keep the Barbarian standing. After sneak attacking a Kobold dead the Rogue tumbles into the next room that Migwin charged the door ... CRAP ... TONS-O-KOBOLDS ...the Rogue goes down after taking out a single Kobold. A Chicken coop cage in the far corner near the head Kobold. Migwin sidesteps and takes an attack (if he ain't raging he probably should be by now) but wait ... he unleashes Socercers Burning Hands on 4 Kobolds! - Who knew he could do that!!! Cedrith steps in to try to heal the downed Hadozee. Tharnog is doing his usual killing job!!! BIG FINISH HERE - Migwin grapples a Kobold and launches him across the room into the other Kobolds, "CHICKENs, CHICKENS!" Then more general killing ensues and we are done good. The Party finds a door to the West Room that leads to a stone blocked South door that Migwin tried to open earlier. 9 Chickens remain alive that we take back to the farmer. Migwin is busy chewing on the 2 chickens roasting on the spit he grabbed as a Kbob. Short Bows, coins, Masterwork Short Sword "Migwin dubs - Chicken Blade!" - Otherwise nothing much. How, oh how will we explain this to Tal when he catches up ...
....anyone see Migwin's Bird??? He isn't on the spit Migwin is chewing from ... is he???? | | Stop monkeying around - thats my job!!!

Oh, Chris. You can't count me in for the stories cause this is just the chronicling. I have to do it for the XP; which I am lost on now. I will have to sit down and figure how much I have now.

Bonus XP for crafting a chicken bone necklace! No XP for eating the chicken. I'll visit you in the hospital if it comes to that.
I'll happily give out XP if you make the chicken bone necklace and wear it every week like Nico did with his Dashiki of Lathander.
