| | Are reviews of the Rebel Storm Ultimate Missions supplement generally unfavourable? I was thinking of getting a copy, mainly for the maps. What maps come with the book? I read that one was Cloud City. Are the maps any good, and is it worth buying even if the missions stink? | | Have/Want list http://www.maxminis.com/hwlist.asp?user=Bugbear Trade Reference Thread: http://www.maxminis.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=340 | |

| I should be getting UM:CS sometime in the next week or so. I'll let you know what I think when I get it.
I liked the maps in UM:RS. I don't actually have the book, but I played the first scenario with a friend. That one is utterly ba-roken as written. Fortunately they fixed it with errata, but still... | | "Why am I all sticky and naked? Did I miss something fun?" -Vindicated champion of Tordek, Dwarf Champion

| Alright; reading through most of CS UM
I am much happier with the new units which include AAT (Episode I)- no AT-ST; but still pretty good, no faction listed for itl and they didnt make an actual 3by3 tile for it....made me sad Energy Catapult (Episode I): Republic Long Range Siege weapon; nicely thought out idea All 3 of the beasts that Ankin, Padme, and Obi fight during (Episode II): all 3 of these things rock, poor poor wampa aint so pretty now
Overall: 5 out of 7
Missions: Havent read all of them; nice info to fill those of use who didnt watch Clone Wars Cartoon, 3 sections again; Ep I; Ep II; and Clone Wars
Once again; some of them are too close to their movie counterparts to the point of not being fun. None of the missions use Rebel Storm figures (like for Tusken Raiders having to be used as Gran Raiders for Anakins Vengence) Some of the missions however seem rather interesting (like the Jedi in the arena vs droids 768 point battle!) Some of the 1 on 1s seem better designed
Overall: 4.5 out of 7
New Force powers are actually decently well thought out, however i would of liked to see costs to add these powers such as Force Ball; Force Trance; Force Jump; few others. Fairly well thought out
Ability to "Modify" a character's stats: These are dismal at best; the costs are far too low, there are no limits, so, lets up Vader's defense by 30 so he cant be hit and increase his damage to 100. Great idea just not thought out at all.
Updates that explain old rules like windows, etc are good and i love the new maps: happy overall i bought it | | I am the Warrior of the Black Flame of Inferno, those who stand in my way will feel by burning touch.

| | Why did you rate things out of 7? Such an odd scale. | | "Why am I all sticky and naked? Did I miss something fun?" -Vindicated champion of Tordek, Dwarf Champion | |

| | I liked how the book not only took scenarios from the movie but the cartoon series as well. | | Ash nazg durbatulûk, ash nazg gimbatul, ash nazg thrakatulûk, agh burzum-ishi krimpatul | |

| Got the book today. I like the maps. One of them is Coruscant Streets, and the other is the Geonosis Arena. The streets map is a variant on the maps already produced (e.g. lots of buildings and small rooms) with a new twist- some areas are "high ledges", which provide cover from below, cannot be melee attacked to/from, and only characters using Flight or Force Jump can access. The Arena has a large circular open area taking up about 2/3 of the map, with a hallway running tangential to the circle dividing the arena from a small section of the Battle Droid factory.
I like most of the scenarios- some of them are very cool, like Ben and Quigon vs Maul (Duel of the Fates), and Ben, Amidala, and Anakin versus the arena monsters and some Picadors. Not sure I like the fact that almost every scenario has rules for reinforcements to show up- games could potentially have no end, or one side could get reinforcements round after round, giving them a huge advantage. I also dislike some of the contradicting rules text- some of the scenarios are timed, but in one part of the scenario description it will say the game ends after 10 rounds, and another part it will say the game ends after 20 rounds. A few of the scenarios seem, in my opinion, to be broken- one of them requires the Nabooians to get pilots into four starfighters to win, but there is nothing preventing the Battle Droids from shooting the pilots out of the starfighters. Seems like they would take off immediately! | | "Why am I all sticky and naked? Did I miss something fun?" -Vindicated champion of Tordek, Dwarf Champion

| There are a couple other companies that make sci-fi deck maps. Steve Jackson Games has a Traveler spaceship, but I seem to recall one company using tiles to consturct their floor plans.

| I don't think wiz kids ever did sci-fi terrain. There is a couple maps they did for MageKnight Dungeons that would make good temple raid scenaios. I've got a bunch of their 3D tile stuff it's pretty cool stuff, then again you need a lot of it to make somthing interesting. Luckily no one realy buys MK stuff anymore so you can find the dungeons stuff pretty cheaply.

I stil lhaven't managed to get one, no where around here has them in stock, going to have to special order and hope it gets here with my RotS cases...

| | I picked up a set of Starship tiles put out by Skeleton key games. It's not bad realy although putting everything togther is kinda a pain, I think I'm liking the set maps. Less muss less fuss realy. I've got some maps put out by Steve Jackson Games too, one of them is some sort of underground mad scientist lab. | | Ash nazg durbatulûk, ash nazg gimbatul, ash nazg thrakatulûk, agh burzum-ishi krimpatul | |
