| I don't know realy. I don't have any myself and looking through the wotc boards most people hate this piece. His charging fire is pretty sweet, and if he stands still he gets +10 damage instead. I'm tepted to get a few to try out and for RPG purposes. It's also possible people are getting them for some of the book scenarios, Kit Fisto and a bunch of agua troopers vrs Quarren and Droids.

I recently traded off a bunch of these guys and at the time I was suprised anyone was after them but since then I've seen a number of threads with people looking for them.
Personally in the skirmish game I seldom use fringe except in fringe only bands since when we play I pretty much bring all the minis so I set up all the bands. I never know how many players we'll have so I always prep the bands faction-exclusive.

| The scenario angle makes sense. For RPG purposes I'd think the assassin would be more popular since it is a nicer sculpt.

| | I prefer the Assassin myself in the skirmish. Hiding behind blocking cover only to pop in and out cunning attacking Rebels... It almost makes up for Leia, Senator's commander effect. Although her teamed up with a squad of Quarren assassins....[xx(] | | Pathetic Earthlings. Hurling your bodies out into the void - without the slightest inkling of who or what is out here. | If I remember it right, leia's effect isn't cumulative with assassins.
Assassins are often said to be the best non-rare piece in Rebel Storm, and yes, it's a nice sculpt too!
I don't know if I've ever tried Quarren Raider, but I'm not very impressed by it's stats. It's versatile ok, but still.
If enemy doesn't have accurate shooters, I can believe these guys can wreak some havoc by running away and firing, but with +4 attack and 10 damage when moving... you can have a maximum of 7 in your 100pt squad, I guess they can't hit enough and cause enough damage to be a real threat.
I guess that scenarios are the best guess for the reason. | | Vindicated AtG Called shot: 2nd Huge Red Dragon My collected trade reference links Star Wars tactical combat -project My modelling/terrain pages Suomen miniatyyrikeräilijät / Miniature collectors of Finland

| Cthulhufnord is correct.
I wanted a bunch of Assassins and Raiders so I can have them fight Kit Fisto and Mon Cal Mercs. | | Champion of the Skulk Vindicated Champion of the Twig Blight

| | Looking at the Kit Fisto mini... I'm realy disapointed with the sculpt, he doesn't even look like the right race realy. | | Pathetic Earthlings. | I don't see why it wouldn't. The quarren move shoot move, the leias commander effect moves them two more squares. Veers is realy the commander to go with the Quarren anyways, sheilded by some stormtroopers maybe even with some mini's with the spotter ability... evil but fragile at the same time.
