Well, if Fett would be the only figure really wanted, people should go through average of 3 cases in order to get him... I don't think it will affect the cost that much [:D] - or, what kind of prices are we talking about?

I think it will in the short run, depending on how big the re-release turns out to be. I think he will still be the most expensive mini out of Rebel Storm.

This could have an interesting effect on Aurra Sing and Maul(the 'Fett's of Clone Strike). Still very playable figures I think it is only her obscurity and his being cut in two that keeps the price 'down'. Now, with Rebel Storm being re-released, will Clone Strike have the fewest pieces out in the market? And I don't see it being re-printed/released...

Fett seems to be hovering around the $50 mark. The Emperor from RS seems to be closing the gap too since he has become so significant with the RoTS syenergy.

As for the clone strike hot pulls. I have to agree. With the rerelease the clone strike top pulls will probably pull ahead. I find it very unlikely that set will be rereleased so four or five months from now a lot of new players will be pretty hot to get those things. Especially since they play so well with the RoTS. At present (and likely for some time) the prequel game is much more dynamic. I don't think the rerelease will change that since it isn't actually bringing anything new to the game. Hopefully new players. That's about it.

True. But when RS first came out and Fett was frankly readily available (I pulled two at that time) he was still worth a ridiculous amount. He seems to be a case of demand overwhelming the logic of supply.

I do think supply vs demand will affect the value of a lot of other figures though.

I'm eagerly awaiting the re-release myself, there's still a mess of VRs from the firt set I'm interested in. Fett included.

Pathetic Earthlings. Hurling your bodies out into the void - without the slightest inkling of who or what is out here. If you had known anything about the true nature of the universe - anything at all - you would have hidden from it in terror.

Is Boba Fett hot because he is rarer than other very rares, or is it just that he's long been a fan favorite? His stats seemed to be okay but not $50 okay.

Personally my favorite bounty hunter and SW action figure as a kid was Bossk. A lizard man rocking a pilot suit and a blaster rifle is way too frickin' cool. I'd love to see an army of Bossk's lizard race invade Kashyyyk! Reptiles and Wookiees all over the joint!

When I play a fringe force you better believe Bossk is there. =)

Rarer than other Very Rares? Don't know, only have anecdotal evidence to go on. Some factors that drive his price up:

1. Good Stats- REAL good stats (IMHO Best range attacker)
2. Accurate Shot- Perhaps the 'killer' ability.
3. Flight- Allows him to go places melee (i.e. Jedi) can't hit.
4. Fringe- This means he can go with anyone and use their synergy.
5. Popular Character- Unlike Aurra Sing, everyone knows Boba and he has been labeled cool.
6. Rebel Storm- under printed and sold out.

#6 has changed. Maybe someone in Universe might have the utility of Boba to decrease #1-#3, but Boba will probably stay higher priced than any other figure in Rebel Storm.

If you aren't into the tournament scene and just want a Boba, I hear a Jango & Aerial Clone Trooper can be modded into a good looking one...
