| | 11/03/2005 3:16 AM | Alert | | Generaly my friends and I pick and opposite square of the map and go from there. In larger battles with lots of trooper we just take a single map side. | | Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing. Hello everyone, Iwould like to know where each player start in the maps on tournaments, because i didn´t find that on the rulebook.
The starting areas for the maps are in the respective rulebooks. For RotS, it is on page 9, under Assemble Your Squad: "Both players reveal their squads. The Dark Side player sets up his squad within 4 squares of the blast door. The Light Side player sets up her squad within 4 squares of the airlock, on the opposite edge of the battle grid."
For Rebel Storm it is on Page 6. For Clone Strike it is on Page 8.

OMG, so there is no space for me to place my starting squad in some of those maps, and also my huge figures stay stuck in the deathstar map...

In that case, you fill the starting areas most efficiently (e.g. You have to fill as many squares in the starting area as possible- so Guy has ruled, so let it be done) before expanding to squares outside your starting area.

Yep, a known issue. I view it as a balance to the huges, which in general seem to be undercosted. WotC is aware of the 'issue' (and how could they not when there is so much whining ...er... 'discussion' on "huge unfriendly" maps on the WotC boards) and is expected to address it.
