Example, when Vader JH and Nom came out my entire group was so upset on how broke they were but a time went on everyone (kinda following my lead, easy to build a squad when you only know you are going to be playing Vader.) started finding ways to win against the squads. Can it be this game actually inspires more thought and brain to play than other games??? | | I am the Warrior of the Black Flame of Inferno, those who stand in my way will feel by burning touch.

| | 12/05/2005 11:05 AM | Alert | | I've found Vader JH isn't too hard if you throw a bunch of Jedi at him. (At least in 200 point tournaments.) Sure, he gets three attacks a turn, but if I have 4 Jedi swarming him, he doesn't have that many Hit Points. | | Completed Trades: 9 AlfredoLorente, Litorian x 2, mordantos, preditor, JediMAC, Sean-Kahn, megadan, Faust5

I never realy considered going after V-JH with Jedi, it seemed to be sounder to tackle him from a distance with Bounty Hunters. | | Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing. His overide ability can drag out the game to the point where it isn't fun anymore. | | Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing. Yeah, but we now have a Fringe counter in Lobot, so we can pop the doors and send our accurate shooters droid hunting... [}:)]

They may well be, but we continue to have an influx of stoopid n00bs [:o)]

Well, RotS R2 was underpowered anyway [)]
Seriously, that would be one thing I'd say it's worth a petition - it surely doesn't make r2 worthless! Is there any SWM players not wanting that change except those that use Mace/R2 -combo on regular basis and play always to win at any cost?
Fortunately most players aren't like that and that doesn't make the problem too big.
IMHO what's worst about some combos are their absurd style; Astromech droids swinging jedi master with a tow cable, charging antitank-guns (AAM) etc. are very effective methods in the game and really rediculious to rationalize (aren't miniature games modelling 'real' things, to a certain degree?) Just think of those bayonets Japanese will have to attach to their AT guns in AAM when they charge them in the enemy lines [:P] | | My collected trade reference links Star Wars tactical combat -project My modelling/terrain pages Suomen miniatyyrikeräilijät / Miniature collectors of Finland

Yeah. The more I work with him, the better I like him.
Not only for that Override, but the Fringe Reinforcements 20. It is just so flexible, particularly since you get to look at your opponents squad first.
Need an Accurate Shooter? Bring Baby Boba. See a Nom Bomb squad? Bring 5 Gran defusers. Facing droids? Here come 4 Jawas. Vader, JH? Draft a Gonk to help shoot him down...
