 | | 02/16/2006 5:37 PM | Alert | Well i know there is lots of complaining about grievious lacking of JH ability, but even he don´t have it is a nice character and a nice miniature to put in play.
I´ve though how to put him to work and i concluded that he would work great with Wat Tambor. I made this warband (rate it if you can) even that i lack of wat tambor [:(]
General Grievious JH (the main) Wat Tambor (Nice reparing that works with grievious and lots of screen of 5 droid reinforcements that not count for points to enemy) Iktochi Tech Specialist(To some repair but mainly to open doors. Battle Droid Officer(to improve a little the shooting of the screen)
The strategy is to put grievious into melee battle, but since he have a low defense it is important to cover him 1 or 2 turns until he reaches his objective, if he suffers lots of damage you could move him to wat tambor that could give a nice repairing to him.
As an alternate Warband i placed:
General Grievious JH Wat Tambor Dwarf Spider Droid Security battle droid
That is more offensive but could be really tricky too...
In a 200 game wat tambor should go with a droideka (you know destroyers droids) to use pretty nice the droid mark. and grievious could go with dooku making a nasty combination.
What do you think about this? is worthy ? Some advice? | | Knight of the Quori Champion of King Kaius III of Karrnath

 | | 02/16/2006 8:06 PM | Alert | Well if you are going with the Jedi Hunter version of the good general, why not include Darth Tyranus in your squad as well? Even if you are not necessarly facing Jedi both are scary combatants.
I'd consider adding a dominate character as well. sure it may not be as nice as before, but being able to attacking once with GG and then being able to quadruple attack is too sweet. | | Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing. | | 02/16/2006 11:25 PM | Alert | Well put Grievious and Darth Tyranus together is a nice output, because you want to place grievious at melee but you run a big risk of serious damage until the time to release his quad attack, so the duelist ability grants +4 to the defense that makes him a Def 23 miniature.
Obviously nobody would wait for the Quad attack but he generates lots of Attacks of Opportunity! Now i think grievious could be a great miniature with the combat reflexes ability like in D&D to make multiple AoO | | Knight of the Quori Champion of King Kaius III of Karrnath

You know what could be very usefull for grievious, that he uses CLIMB WALL as the boga, that could make him more useful and fair for his price. | | Knight of the Quori Champion of King Kaius III of Karrnath
