In mi league the people get a little tired of the same formats avalible so the League leader decided to place a new ruling Format for this league: JEDI POWER BATTLES FORMAT.

it is written in spanish but i will tell you about it, is about lots of force!

- All jedi-sith could have force renewal and could use any force power, but darkside users pay one point more for force powers that are not in their cards and jedi pay the half for powers in their stat cards, sarksiders could use Dark side powers as force grip and lighting.

- There are limitations like darth vader couln´t use force lighting, mara jade have limited force powers, and grievious have a free block each turn.

- Other limitations is that you can use force defense or force block only once per turn, and you cannot cancel other people cancelations.

- Jedi Masters and Sith lords have force mastery 2 so they could spend force twice per turn, something that is really nice.

- There are new force powers like force move that could open a door, mind trick that could control enemies if they fail a throw, and force steal that grants stealth for a turn, and things like that.

What do you think about this format?

The people I play with discussed a bit of this actually. We feel it tends to make the Jedi and Sith a little too powerfull, seriously de-valuing the non-force users. Now if both players are using warbands that consist of nothing but force users that might not be a problem.

Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing.

Well actually that´s one of the troubles for the league with people that don´t have many force users.

I agree with you, but is a format to play with lots of force users, i made a republic warband that was very excellent with yoda and windu! very nice! for separatist i got excellent minis too like grievious sidious and tyranus!

rebel is not useful as we might think, new republic could make good efforts, yuhzhan vong warbands could be very nasty, and empire is just good with vader JH.
