Interesting, not exactly how I pictured a Sith Trooper. But a cool looking (common?) minature none the less.

Pathetic Earthlings. Hurling your bodies out into the void - without the slightest inkling of who or what is out here. If you had known anything about the true nature of the universe - anything at all - you would have hidden from it in terror.

Knights of the Old Republic right? I never played that particular game, although one of my roomates was rather fond of it. So those are the sith then, when I first saw them I thought of the Cylons.Ζ)]

Yup that is the game, they have even shown up in Comics and a few other things of the era since then. I would not be supprised if we get Mandalorians from that era, as well as the Republic troops to match in some of the lower end common figures. by all reports Sith will be big, and Republic smaller but still a bulk of the set. The Kotor game, and the sequal did very well, and there is a clammoring of people who want the the minis from the era, and even more detailed rules set for the ers for the RPG (so much so that i got paid by WotC to actually do some writting on it).

You have done some freelance work on SWD20 Ghengis Ska? A good friend of mine up here wrote for the old Weg version of the game.

We know as of right now there are atleast 8 Sith and I'd bet the house the Troopers are gonna be like all the rest. Meaning atleast 3 different poses and maybe a commander or something. Oh the Massassi may also be done like that.

I'm just curious of they will be Sith or Massassi... or if they will make the distinction...

Sith trooper have a silly position, looking down; lets wait to see in live.

Massasi are melee and should have bodyguard.

Why should the Massassi have Bodyguard?

The are described as "a race of warriors" untill subjugated by Kun,. They are shown as savage, Dark Side creatures descended from the Sith species. Savage, and primitive traits i could see but what makes bodyguard jump to mind?

Nice! I like the Darkside Assassin.[:)]

The Massassi, they look like scaley red near-humans right? I seem to recall a picture of one that looked like it was done by Jack Kirby.

The Masassi were a scaly red-skinned race.
They had tenticle type hair and also had catfish-like growths comming from the sides of their mouths.
If anyone had played SW:Starfighter or SW:Jedi Starfighter for PS2...Then you know what I mean when I say they looked like Nym but with red skin.

When the Sith Lord Naga Sadow came to Yavin 4 5000 years ago he enslaved the Masassi and forced them to bild him those pyramids that would later be used for the Rebel Base in the Original SW.

Naga Sadow...and 1000 years later the Sith Lord Exar Kun...used the Masassi as slaves and even did experiments on them to make them better killing machines...Some Masassi are huge musclebould hulking brutes in loincloths.

They should have Bodyguard ability in order to protect their Sith masters.

It depends on what time period you going on for the Massassi most sources indicate that the Massassi are descendents of the Sith that Sadow brought with him to Yavin after that first big war (http://www.starwars.com/databank/location/massassitemple/?id=eu). Where he then did more experimintaion on them to make them "massassi", made them savage and killers.

Kun Enslaved and Forced them to build the temples, i don't tend to think of slaves as wanting to willingly give up their lives for the people enslaving them.

I see them more in the front lines as grunts leading the charge and slaughtering the enemny as well as getting slaughtered. I don't see them hanging back acting as bodyguards.

While true most of the Sith Lords/Dark Jedi types will be melee, and most of your Massassi should be Melee (although the Lanvarok could cast projectiles as well meaning they could be melee or ranged) I just don't see them having bodyguards. They are a "Warrior" culture i don't see them as filling a bodyguard roll.
