I thought the Jedi Guardian was wearing a white hood all the way up until I had the mini in hand yesterday.
Why is her hair white? It blends in with her robes. Why not add a paint step and make her hair a differnt color than her robes?"
One of the other people at the LGS tells me its because her hair is white in the game.

So Im hearing that the 3 Uncommon Jedi in the Old Repuplic faction (#2, 3 and 4 of 60) are actually based on unique individuals from KotOR 2.

Is this true?

Just use Google image search with word 'Atris' :) I think it's pretty good idea to make Uniques as non-uniques, people can play them as if they were uniques if they want and no-one's pissed with lots of uniques they can't use.

Yep, Atris had white hair. I don't think she was actually an albino (no red eyes), but the mini was pretty much dead on. As to why hair and robes are the same color, I assume there was some backstory reason for it. Atris and all her minions had white hair, and wore white. I would guess because she was a bit over the top, she did it to show her observence of the light side of the force.

#2 (consular)from the set looks like The Disciple from KOTOR 2. #3 (guardian) is Atris and/or The Handmaiden. #4 (sentinel) is Visas Marr.

Atris' hair is white (as are her handmaidens) and her eyes are very blue. No explanation of why her hair is white is given in the game. I'd suppose that part of the motivation to wear all white comes from living in a polar cap. Makes it easier to blend in [:D]

I really dig the idea of taking 'iconic' characters and making 'generic' minis for them. I wish the DDM line would take that tack (i.e. sure, here's your Raistlin...I mean undernourished human wearing red robes a.k.a. Red-robed Wizard).

She is not an albino, she is an Echani. They all have white hair and blue eyes. I do not know if they are born that way, but they all look the same so that they are indistinguishable to outsiders. I also think that echani are all now human with the culture of the echani remaining, like the mandolorians.

Here you go!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atris

She was not an echanni as the handmaiden (and the imperial royal guards, you know the guys in red) she was human but the leader of that hidden order.

All of the Echani are humans. They are classified by their warrior tradition. All Echani have white hair and blue eyes and dress in similar mannners. This is to keep outsiders from identifying individuals from their order. While Atris may be trained as a Jedi and not an Echani warrior, I would bet that she was born to Echani parents.

Yes i was thinking that echanni is a complete species apart, but is so close to human that could be a Race, as caucasian, mongol or black; they have their hair in white and well have affinity to battle because they culture.

Atris could be one raised appart from her culture.

If she were human as an Albino she most likely wouldn't have red eyes anyway, human albinos generly don't have red eyes.

The have dull gray to blue eyes, as do many other albino animals, it is a misconception that all Albinos no matter what species have red eyes.
A guy on my floor in college was an albino, and he had very pale blue eyes, not red.
