| I was at my local game store today and found in a bin of D&D minis a Tusken Raider mini. The base said:
Promo1 8/04 Fringe 4 Tusken Raider (usual copyright/made in stuff).
What was this? a Gen Con promo mini?
Also, there was no card available for the mini at the store. What would be the best way to get one? Write to WotC? Buy online? Beg and plead?
Thanks.

| Well there are two Tusken raiders Promo the 2004 US direct and the 2004 Lotus Noir, that´s something i found in Mini Manager; i don´t think is a GEN CON promo and the card is the same as others Tusken raiders just the promo symbol down (a stormie with the words promo) Some people collect this things, but i don´t know if WOTC would send you a card for a promo common, you could even try it. | | Knight of the Quori Champion of King Kaius III of Karrnath

| | Wasn't the Tusken Raider the 1st SW promo? I seem to recall seeing one shortly before the Rebel Storm release. | | Ash nazg durbatulûk, ash nazg gimbatul, ash nazg thrakatulûk, agh burzum-ishi krimpatul | |

| | Yes Tusken raider was the first promo, i don´t remember where i saw that but i guess is one of the first, maybe your store give many of them and keep that one for displaying, and the card get lost in the meantime (RS comes 2 years ago!) | | Knight of the Quori Champion of King Kaius III of Karrnath

| Well, I don't know about it being a display. I found it in a bin of commons from Underdark, and they likewise didn't have a stat card for any of them either. I had remembered seeing it in the bin a few months ago, and it was still there yesterday, so I picked it up in hopes of getting a card somehow.
Thanks for the info and advice.

| | Do the promos have different cards? My promo Dark Jedi Master has the normal set card. | | Evil triumphs when good men fail their morale saves. | |

| Promos generally have the same cards as the regular mini. The distinction is either that it is repainted (DDM) and/or that it has a special stamp on the bottom (SWM).
The only promo minis that I know of that came without cards were the Medium Silver Dragon and Guen(?) minis that were released a couple years back. They have since been released in regular sets and have cards.
In any case, finding a printable version of the mini's card is not that difficult and a perfectly acceptable alternative. | | LIVENOTONEVIL

There was a Rebel Storm poster advertising that if you pre-order a case of minis, would receive the Tusken Raider promo for free. | | Good trades here: http://www.maxminis.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=8678 Good trades on www.rebelbasers.com (SW TCG site): DARTH_TED, longshanks, Obi-Dave, darthvinny1974, Massacreur Feedback on the WotC board: http://tradehouse.site.io//gtl.html My eBay feedback rating: http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=boba_fouts&ssPageName=STRK:ME:UFS Feedback at www.starwarsminigames.com: http://starwarsminigames.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2555
