I dont know if this is old news or not but I was at my FLGS today and I found a WOTC flyer that listed a "Star wars Miniature Death Star" with a release date of November 2006

WHAT?

OK upcomming Starship Miniature game or not thats just stupid. It will either be rediculusly out of scale or it will be obnoxiously big (and still be to small to be to scale).

Well, my understanding is that the Starship game is relative scale- So fighters are in scale with fighters, captial ships with capital ships etc.
So, I guess this will be in scale with other Death Stars. [)]

Hmm. Hopefully this is the Star Wars Starship games 'colossal' figure. Sure it might not be in scale, but who doesn't want to take on a Death Star! Besides, it will save me from having to repaint a beach ball. [:D]

Just to put it in perspective.

If Darth Vader's Super Star Destroyer (The Executor) was a 2-foot long miniature......

- The Millenium Falcon would be the size of the average SW mini's head.

- A regular Star Destroyer would be about 8 inches long.

- You would have to paint your bedroom wall to look like the surface of the Death Star and that would be accurate. Your wall probably doesnt have enough surface area to have to worry about the curvature of its sphereical shape.

It is really weird and interesting how WOTC would manage Size differences in this game! Hope to be the best!

I guess it must be some kind of scenario -pack? Maybe THIS is inflatable? [:P]

Anyway, I believe it would be pretty impressive to have a large space fight on a large map, where there's a 3' sphere (or hemisphere) on the one end, where rebel fighters would be trying to get.
