| | What is the problem with Clone Strike? One booster is around $35! Was the set extremely popular? Can someone please fill me in? | | But...it was so artistically done-Grand Admiral Thrawn's last dying words

| | It is because it is sold out and is no longer available from the manufacturer. Just like any collectible that is no longer available from the manufacturer, prices will increase even if demand remains the same. | | | |

| | WoTC only produces so much of a set. Once it runs out it is all gone. Basically if a set is 2-3 old it is no longer produced. So they become scarce and the price goes up. | | | |

| | My FLGS had them for a week just prior to CotF. It took Rebel Storm awhile to get a complete reprint but CS is due for it. | | Evil triumphs when good men fail their morale saves. | |

| | I doubt it's going to be re-released. Pretty much all of the chase VRs in CS have been re-issued in Cotf. I still wouldn't mind a CS Maul though.... | | Ash nazg durbatulûk, ash nazg gimbatul, ash nazg thrakatulûk, agh burzum-ishi krimpatul | |

| | I was trying to purchase all of the Jedi Council members in Clone Strike, but they're $16-$20 a piece, with some even higher than that. It exasperates me that I have to pay $16 for Plo Koon. | | But...it was so artistically done-Grand Admiral Thrawn's last dying words

| Luckily I'm not too much of a collector. In most cases, I'm perfectly happy for new rare versions of older VR's and can trade the pieces that have grown high in value for 2 or more rares. I think Dooku is the only piece I want to keep VR version of even if there's a rare equivalent.
I'm waiting for early winter when BH, Blood war, Reserves, SW ship battles and maybe AAM Naval are out, and then trade my CS Yoda (should get RotS version in the trade, though) and Aurra away, as well as some DDM pieces that have been collecting some value lately that I no longer need. | | Vindicated AtG Called shot: 2nd Huge Red Dragon My collected trade reference links Star Wars tactical combat -project My modelling/terrain pages Suomen miniatyyrikeräilijät / Miniature collectors of Finland

Yep. Nobody told the European division they couldn't order a reprint [)] I doubt that will ever happen again, or that the US will get a Clone Strike reprint.

| WotC has never said it will never print CS again. All they have said is that if a set is not reprinted within a time period of its original release it is unlikely. If they think they can make money on it they will reprint it. On the Wizards boards they have banned discusiion of it altogether. What the argument boiled down to is that people who have the rarest figures do not want them reprinted so that no one else can have them. However being RS has been reprinted twice I would not rule out a CS reprint altogether. | | Evil triumphs when good men fail their morale saves. | |

Oh, really? Strange, I don't remember it that way... But to keep these boards civil, I won't rehash it here.

I would. Particularly with WotC's reaction to the European reprint. Rebel Storm had the advantage of being enirely OT based and had some particularly sought after Stormtrooper sculpts (popular with nonWotC Star Wars players/collectors). Conversely, you can see WotC mitigating hard to find Clone Stike figures in later sets...
