Through enlightenment, I found an idea using Thrawn's abilites. Really, it's just using his switching commander effect.

Grand Admiral Thrawn
2xNightsister Sith witches
2xRancor
1xMas Amedda
1xGran Raider

Total points:149

Yeah, I think the best way to fully utilize Thrawn's abilities is to switch Rancors anywhere on the board, thanks to Amedda's Booming Voice.

But...it was so artistically done-Grand Admiral Thrawn's last dying words

Course, since the figures have to be of the same base size, you can only switch one Rancor with the other. And not even then if the Rancor isn't within 6 of a Sith Witch (since empathy isn't a CE and thus Amedda doesn't help)

Thrawn and Mas are a deadly combo- I just prefer to use them with a medium based beatstick and a lot more medium based grunts so the opposition doesn't know when or where the switch will come.

What would you suggest then? And with the Nightsister Sith witch, I would basically have her tag along with the Rancors, but I see your logic here:she'll be the prime target by the opponent.

How about running Rots Vader, some Sith Witches, Nexu's and some other Darksiders then?

Like I said, a medium beatstick and more grunts. Specifics really depend on what you have. Cthulhufnord has already suggested one, RotS Vader. Another is Sith Anakin. In a higher point game I would try to get Vader JH in there, but it would be too tight in 150.
Grunts I like are Elite Snows & Sandtroopers, but the basic Stormie is very useful too.

Course, the other way to go with Thrawn/Mas is shooting swarm. Throw in Veers so everyone has Accurate Shot. Combined with Thrawns +3/+3 and the grunts become deadly [}:)]

Sounds especially delicious. Thank you for the advice. I shall try that.
