I haven't yet played Old era games. Do they feel any different? Except maybe for bringing some of the KOTOR feel to the game...?

I'm waiting to get Bastila and HK and have/am getting bunch of generic Jedi/Sith and I'm eager to test OR vs. Sith -games!

Btw, does anyone how to get KOTOR soundtracks as music? [:D]

Well Old era games are really broken by the Sith!

The siths are much more powerful because the uniques!

If you play old era game and to be balanced the sith just could put one unique or none.

My Malak squad got its butt kicked in 100pt by a Bastila squad. Other than that we can probably expect some OR augmentation in the next set. Nomi and Thon please.

Well siths in 100 pts are not so great, specially Malak with bastila CFX in game!

For Old republic we need more unique characters, master vendar, Carth Onassi, etc.

Yeah the Sith realy did gobble up the lions share of VR and powerfull characters. The OR might be a bit more playable if you could bring in some Republic generics like the Jedi weapons master.

Interesting, thanks for info! I'm waiting for my VR's even more eagerly [:D]

There's been rumours about a generic Twi'lek and some think it might be Mission Vao - that would be great! I just love the way how they bring less known uniques into the game as generic units. OR uniques? Hm, some old masters could be really powerful. I believe we're getting some in BH. On the other hand, Sith Lords just feel so much stronger in old era comics...

Mission Vao would be Fringe.

you could complement Old republic with fringe, but is not the same [:(]

IMHO it would be as good if the pieces would be inspired by KOTOR or other old era sources. Go HK!

I'd personally like to see Cay Qel-Droma, Master Vrook, and Ood Bnar. That would be great. And let's not forget Empress Teta or the Daragon siblings, Gav and Jori. Gav might be on the Sith, seeing how Naga Sadow taught him some ancient Sith magic. But one may never know.

But...it was so artistically done-Grand Admiral Thrawn's last dying words

How many years was between Golden Age of the Sith and Knights of the Old Republic (the comics not the game)?
Anyway it would be cool to see Krath soldiers and beast riders.

yeah sith vs or is terribly over powered but in smaller games where you might only be able to get that one unique in OR will whoop sith all over the place well so long as its not bane or exar kun your opponent is using ;)

The Sith Vrs the Republic however is a very interesting match-up.

Yes it is, but Old Republic Soldiers are very expensive for what they do, remembering me the clone troopers for the republic in days before.

I think they're exactly like clones but 1 point cheaper. They have nice firepower so 7 points might be too little.

Have to test them with Bastila; She can boost them (ability depending on situation) and then deflect few bolts in the front row. Bastila, Commander & 4 troopers just fit into 100 points, which means 8 attacks at +8 and 20 damage.

well is kind a pity to sacrifice one or two Old republic Trooper to support other to deal 20 pts, what i like is the commander CFX double attack is really nice. Bastila is an excellent commander for them, but nowdays they depend on fringe to be workable.
