In the two SW boosters I've purchased I was fortunate enough to pull both Darth Sideous and Count Dooku.  Not a bad combo if a little costly.  I have collected a set of commons and uncommons sinces Clone Strike and have recently picked up Darth Maul-CotS and am wondering if he'll do better than Dooku when teamed up with the boss.

I'm looking at 100, 150, and 200 point games.  Most of the opposition will either be the Empire or clones although a fight against a Jedi band is possible as is a Grievous Revolt band (Grievous, Supreme Commander plus droids to make the point total.)

Well with Darth Sidius is one of the best way to use the Grievious Jedi Hunter (with lots of Body Guards)

But the best combos for me with sidious are:

Assaj Ventress (She is cheap for his Lightsaber Riposte that could deal lots of damage)
Darth maul (Both versions would make a lot with a little more force points)

For the Pawn of the Dark Side
Any Heavy shooting miniature is good!
But if you place X1 Viper Droids you could make dissaster! with the right fire support!

Darth Sidious + Rancor can be pretty fun.  Pawn of the Darkside let's the Rancor take an additional turn, with it's Regeneration Pawning it doesn't hurt it overmuch.  In fact a 200 point Squad using Darth Sidious, Ventress, Tyranus, Rancor + 49 points of filler would be pretty neat.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have been trying to keep my mini expenses down so I'll typically only get a set of uncommons and commons of the Star Wars releases.

I figure Maul can make much better use of the extra force points (+40 damage) than Dooku but then figure the Count will do better against stronger opposition due to a higher defence and better attack.

I never have been able to really take advantage of Sideous's pawn ability. I typically don't have enough high HP minis that can survive any use of it although I recognize the rancor is a great target.

Pawn of the Dark side is a really tricky ability, but the rancor idea seems to fit right; the Warband Cthulhufnord suggest is the optimun way to take advantage, maybe add 2 or 3 varactyl wranglers to keep the rancor working.

Even leaving the critter savage and tossing in some nice shooters could work too.  I do like the idea of at least one Wrangler just so it doesn't get baited into a bad situation.

Back in the day, I liked using Destroyer Droids, as their Shields would allow to avoid the Pawn damage much of the time.
Check out the Tank Droid coming in BH- With it's DR, you can Pawn to your hearts content...
