I don´t really agree with a change like that, because make a great difference to old minis but maybe it would be great; if they change the base maybe they bring a new base set. | | Knight of the Quori Champion of King Kaius III of Karrnath

 | | 12/23/2006 5:54 AM | Alert | | Hmmm, well I do prefer square bases. However it does seem out of place that they would impliment such a radical change at this point in the products life. On the other side though, they may give the minis square bases to compliment the Saga Edition rpg rulebook. With the new rpg focusing on using miniatures I would not say that square bases are far fetched, but I cannot see any true benefit to making the switch, besides the cosmetic appeal of square bases. | | Evil triumphs when good men fail their morale saves. | |

 | | 12/23/2006 1:12 PM | Alert | | I'd find this very unlikely. D&D Minis went from square to found so that they could simplfy rules such as facing. The Star Wars RPG rules tend to be slightly simpler than D&D, so why add another level of complexity? | | My Have/Want List http://www.maxminis.com/hwlist.asp?user=Brenigin] Pending Trades: Completed Trades:TheDarkKnight, Puggins, Topper, Thanatos, Poet, Tazawa, Dergeist, Mak, marksimpsonNZ, Stormwalker, bwebster@bigpond.net.au, Zardnaar, Reggie Belcher, Silenttimo Failed Trades:Thayil | |

I'm guessing the square base with Star Wars written on it is some sort of pre-production run, not unlike a paint master... | | Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing. | | 12/30/2006 8:49 PM | Alert | | I jsut had another thought now that I've seen the catalogue. Since they are celebrating the 30th anniversary the minis may be on square Star Wars stamped bases if the production ones are stamped, just for display. If there is a next set they may go back to round ones. | | Evil triumphs when good men fail their morale saves. | |

 | | 04/11/2007 6:12 AM | Alert | | from the picture it looks like the scale bases will affect the scale of the miniatures. for rpg this is a big blunder. i dont want my new stormtroopers towering over my old ones. looks like ill be buying a slect few and rebasing and thats only if the actual figure is the same size. wats up with darths purple lightsaber? | | The ROCK layeth the smacketh down.
