Ok we got an arguement when playing with the scout trooper on speeder bike. He has accelerate where he can move 24 squares without an attack. But also strafe attack. Can he use the strafe attack while moving the 24 squares?

Here's the Text from the card. (Accelerate) This character can move up to 24 squares if it does not attack. (Strafe Attack) As this character moves, it can attack each enemy whose space it enters; this turn, this character cannot attack any enemy twice and cannot move directly back into a space it has just left. It seems to me that you cannot Accelerate and Strafe Attack. Accelerate only works if you do not attack, when you strafe attack your are in esscence attacking.

Ok so my arguement to that is this. Why is it considered an attack? Because according to the card and the rulebook after you do your strafe you can still use your attack?

So long as you move few enough squares to allow for a normal attack, you can use Strafe then a normal attack.

You can move six squares, Strafe Attacking up to a maximum of 8 enemy pieces and make a normal attack.

or

You can move twelve squares as part of normal movement, Strafe Attacking up to a maximum of 20 enemy pieces.

or

You can use Accelerate and move up to 24 squares and not make any attacks.

Basilisks rule for strafe attack! And momentum at the end would be even better! Now I just need a Mandalore the Indomitable to pull this off!!

Do the Basalisks count as droids though?

No, even though they have 'droid' in their name, it's actually a machine controlled by the rider (or at least that's how I understand it).
Otherwise, it would have the Droid special ability.
