| | 04/26/2007 11:08 AM | Alert | Of the new Alliance & Empire minis you've seen (through previews or E-Bay Spain or what-not), which ones excite you?
For me (who doesn't have the philosophy of gotta get em all), I'd say I'm happy to see:
C3-P0 & R2-D2 (since I have neither, both on one base is neat, and distruptive for rebels yay!) Rebel Commando Strike Leader (super-stealth for rebels yay!) Death Star Gunner (just looks cool!) Storm Commando (looks cool and does cool stuff) Mara Jade (nice and tasty for new republic, will be fun with the Solo twins & their folks) Ewok Warrior (an ewok with a ranged attack, yay!) Wickett (traps will be amusing)

| | 04/26/2007 11:32 PM | Alert | I haven't seen it yet but I'm really hoping the Twi'lek rebel will be male and reasonable cool looking. We already have enough Twi'lek foxes and Twi'lek ugly guys. Now we need a cool looking one for RPGers interested in playing one. Otherwise the trandoshan merc and a few of the other aliens to add variety for possible RPG use. I really like the Talz, Chadra Fan, and Snivvian as well. The Cheven and Ronto are also pretty exciting. The fringe for this set will be great for the rpg. | | Evil triumphs when good men fail their morale saves. | |

I'm pretty psyched about the non-square based ones myself. | | Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing. Robert E. Howard

I'm pretty psyched about the non-square based ones myself. A little sand paper should round those nasty corners off well enough.

I guess I'm one of those Boo Hoo people as well. In reality I like alot of the common/uncommon sculpts but will have no problems avoiding buying any boosters.
In this forum I ran a poll to see how the square bases would be recieved and 49% would buy less then previous sets because of it (41% would buy only a few singles or none at all). Only 1 person would buy more.
In DDMSpoilers the poll runs about the same except none would buy more.
The ones that will Boo Hoo will be WoTC when they only sell half as well as the previous recent sets because obviously except for the "Im in love with Princess Leia" fanboys most are either neutral (about 50%) or Negative (the other 50%) on it. My hopes is that they are smart enough to know the reduced sells is due to their marketing idea rather then the climate for Star Wars miniatures.
A little more on topic, uhmmmm Sorry, I do like the sculpts of the
Heavy Stormtrooper Scout Trooper Rodian Scoundrel Transdoshan Mercenary
I would buy as many boosters as before if they release a more uniform (with all of my previous sets) round bases.

| | 05/08/2007 10:45 AM | Alert | | I'm neutral on the square base design in general. However, from the pic I saw of our combo droids, I don't think they could've squeezed that onto a regular round base so easily, so I'll cheer for a square base in that instance. It's just something different. | | Nietzsche says, "God is dead." God says, "Nietzsche is dead." | | 05/30/2007 9:04 PM | Alert | My wants are R2 & C-3PO and Jabba as I have none of those. Look at the sets picts and skirmish stats I add Luke CoF and Mara. After that there are a few commons and uncommons I'd pick up for skirmishing/scenarios and I'll get one of each of the nonrare aliens for RPG purposes.
