| | 10/21/2007 5:46 PM | Alert | I'm a longtime d&d/heroclix collector just getting into the Star Wars game. In fact, bought my first few boosters today. What's the general breakdown on what is a good price for each booster? They had one set at $25 per booster because it's OOP, but all the others were either $15 or $16. Are boosters from any set worth that much?
Are there any sets that are so easy to find that I should be able to find them for much cheaper than retail?

The new sets have resculpts of most of the major characters it seems. | | Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing. In the UK prices are around £8.99 or £14.99 for huge. | | "No disintegrations? Yeah right!" - Bail Ohmar, Warriors of Gar Sithspawn's Lair - www.ugavine.com

really?! Isn't suggested retail $15 for a regular booster? I've never seen D&D that low, are SWM that much cheaper than D&D? I've got several local shops I can check.
I think it was Clone Wars that was $25/booster, but I'll go back and check

Here in Canada, the lowest I've seen is $12.99 for regular boosters (last year) and $20.99 for huge sets. I know that my LGS has just lowered their prices to reflect the strong Canadian dollar, but I doubt they'll ever go as low as $7.99!!

I wouldn't pay more than the sugested retail price on it. | | Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing. | | 11/29/2007 8:27 AM | Alert | For what it's worth, I'm more knowledgeable about this now, and can clear things up for anyone who stumbles upon this thread.
Clone Strike is indeed the hardest set to find and the most valuable in terms of individual figures. I found one place that had a bunch marked up just $1, to $16 per booster. Other than that, the only local place I've found them at all was the first place I mentioned who's got 2 of them sitting on the shelf at $25.
Besides Clone Strike, Universe is the next hardest set to find. One place has them marked up to $30!, but other than that I haven't seen any other markups, only the fact that they are relatively hard to track down.
Rebel Storm, Revenge of the Sith, Champions of the Force, Alliance and Empire, Bounty Hunters, the Force Unleashed....all those sets are readily available at retail price. I have not found anyone selling any boosters below retail (unless you wheel and deal to get a better deal when buying bulk).
All of this is based on what I've found in the Portland, OR area.
